Questions for this shipment:

Question: Micheal - I picked up a 340 Regal from Winthrope Harbor (Zion, IL) this morning and will be returning from Toronto tomorrow (Thursday). I live in Minneapolis, and need to return for the weekend. If we can agree on price, could I load your boat, leaving the trailer under it until I return next week to complete the delivery? (9/20/2006)
Response: I am not sure if Mckinley Marina in Milwaukee will allow the trailer to be left or not. It would be OK with me if other terms are OK. I would have some concern about the boat be unsceured out of the marina. I think it best if you contact the marina and explain the situation to them to get their thoughts and then respond to me with their answer. [phone number removed] Thanks for your question and let me know what you find out from them. (9/21/2006)
Question: Hi - just got my email from today. Still in Ontario - was considering a visit to a friend tommorrow on Drummond Island, MI but will take the Badger (ferry) across instead and pick up the boat in the afternoon if we can close this deal. $2500 includes all tolls, fees, permits, etc. If the marina is not okay with me leaving the trailer, I'll take it back to Minneapolis with me and store it next to my 2006 Crownline 250. Delivery next week. MREMarine (9/21/2006)
Response: to clarify, are you only bidding if you can pick it tomorrow? I can not have it ready until next week. (9/22/2006)
Question: I am 200 miles away should I continue or wait? (9/22/2006)
Response: not ready yet (9/25/2006)
Question: Tough communicating only by emails. I'll rebid as schedule allows. Let me know the earliest date the boat would be ready for pickup. In the meantime, beware of haulers that will only sub-contract your haul. If its not their truck and their driver, your boat may be left in the hands of the uninsured and unexperienced, changing trucks/drivers twice before it gets to you. MREMarine (9/22/2006)
Response: understood (9/25/2006)
Question: FYI: Haulers listing only an MC number on their company profile with no Federal DOT# and no cargo insurance information may be providing 'brokerage' services only - where you have no guarantee of the driver's experience, legality, or insurance. (9/24/2006)
Response: understood. thanks. (9/25/2006)
Question: Is this on a towable trailer? Have a truck in WI that can move for you anytime this week. Will place bid. (9/25/2006)
Response: it is not on a trailer. will have to be moved on a trailer. (9/25/2006)
Question: Sorry, see it is not. First question about leaving trailer threw me. (9/25/2006)
Response: not on trailer (9/25/2006)
Question: Can we secure a pickup date of Monday October 2nd with the marina? I have multiple bids out for next week, need to secure schedule for permits and driver. MREMarine (9/25/2006)
Response: Possibly. Do you have a listing of what needs prepared for shipping? need to be sure it is completely ready. How do you get it from the water? does your vehicle have this capacity or do I need to make a crane arrangement? (9/25/2006)
Question: Prepping of boat canvas, antenaes, securing loose items, etc. is included in my bid. I can load from fresh water, but would prefer to have boats of this size lifted onto the trailer. Once you accept my bid, I can begin working directly with the marina contacts to handle all details. You might ask what they would charge for a pump-out of fresh/greywater tanks, winterization(?), lift/load, and powerwashing of the bottom. That is pretty standard stuff, and more econmical as a package than peicemeal. MREMarine (9/25/2006)
Response: will contact them for details and follow up. Thanks, Micharl (9/25/2006)
Question: It varies from state to state, but on average ,states can take up to 2-3 business days to process oversize permits & routing around construction sites. (9/26/2006)
Response: will decide very soon. attempting to finalize delivery point specifics. (9/27/2006)
