Question: Hello Shipper, I don't know if you know this or not but your max price of $13,000 is crazy HIGH.. I would love the opportunity to earn your business. How soon will you be accepting a bid? I am currently booking Jan. 08. Please advise Phillips 4 Transporting (12/11/2007)

Response: OOPS, it was supposed to be $1,300 - NOT $113,000. Sorry, I will change that right now!!! I am looking at having it moved somewhere between Jan 15 and 20.
(12/11/2007)

Response: Ok now I will place formal bid of $1500 for your consideration. I am fully licensed and insured with MC# & DOT# Thanks Phillips 4 Transporting (12/11/2007)

Response: Sorry, too high, I had a bid of $1,100, but am still open to others

Question: Hello, do the trailer brakes work and are the tires decent? I'm asking b/c the weather up there will probably be deep snow. My truck won't have any troubles getting there but if the trailer brakes don't work it may be iffy stopping it. If its OK I can do it for the 1300. THANKS, DAN4LESS (12/11/2007)

Response: I have had a bid of $1,100. I also put a picture of the spot it needs to be set and leveled on. It has to be backed down a small hill in behind of the building. If you can lower your bid, pls do it on the uship site,
thanks, D (12/13/2007)

Question: hi we will be coming back from a ski/camping trip in MT the 5th or 6th of january. We live in knoxville so dropping it off between the 15th to the 20th would not be a problem if we can pick it up on the 5th or 6th thanks brandon (12/12/2007)

Response: do you haul trailers on a regular basis so you are skilled in this? Are you insured to haul someones else's trailer, and do you have any references I can contact? If you are going to have a lapse of so much time, where would would the trailer be during that time? What is your bid, I have already had a fairly low bid.
(12/12/2007)

Response: i have worked for pacecarnut on here a few times. I currently own a lawn company in knoxville and pull trailers everyday. i also pull a 35 ft deck over gooseneck float often. I am actually just asking the questions and pacecarnut will bid on the item and he knows more about the insurance than I. (12/12/2007)

Response: I asked you in the last email, if you pick it up around the 6th and dont deliver it til the 20th, where would it be during that lapse? (12/12/2007)

Question: Hello shipper, What days in January are you looking to have it pulled down to you by. I am to leave WI to go that way on 1-11-07, would be there on Sat the 12th. Would this work or is it too soon for you. Read my profile please. Insured. Will quote if time frame is good for you. Mike@highwaymantrucking (12/12/2007)

Response: that might be a little early, my daughter is driving from california to tennesee to open a business and i am not sure they will be there by then. i do have my son in law there that might be able to meet you for setup if it is too soon for daughter to be there. i would need it put into place, needs to be backed down a hill in behind the store, setup and leveled. what would be your best bid? I have had some good ones so far? (12/13/2007)

Response: I could do this for you for $1100. Is this hill very steep that the trailer would bottom out the back bumper or is it just an easy grade down? As for leveling out, is the ground where it will sit be fairly level left to right or is it slanted away from building. I just want to get a picture in my head of how hard a set up it would be before I get there. Thanks Mike (12/13/2007)

Response: I can't give out my email address on the uship site, that a violation of the user policy and they will pull my account standing with them. I don't know if you can attach photos to your listing, but that may be worth a try. (12/13/2007)

Response: give me a little while to try to get the pics on and then put your bid in
tthanks (12/13/2007)

Response: I see the pic of the hill. Doesn't look too bad though. Can the tree branches be cut if they block the way? And is the 1-12-07 delivery day gonna work on your end? As for payment, I collect at delivery, so that would give your daughter time to send you money if she won't be there yet. Thanks Mike@highwaymantrucking (12/14/2007)

Response: Mike , did you put a bid in yet? I dont have an amount that I see. My daughter may not be there until around the 15 to 18th of January. I am the one paying for the move anyway. My other daughter and her husband already live in Knoxville tho, and if nothing else, he could be out there when you move it in to help you.I can send him the money to pay you, What do they need to set it up an level it? Cement blocks, or 2x6 or 8s? what works best, it has built in levelers too.
deb (12/14/2007)

Response: No I haven't put in bid yet, I wanted to get all the fine details worked out before I got commited to the load, I don't want either of us to cancel a match as it does not look good on feedbacks when you have matches cancelled. Depending on how slanted the yard is I would recommend 2x6 for under the tires(gives a good stable footing)and since it will be parked semi-permanant, blocks for the stabilizers will work well. As for picking up trailer, is trailer at sellers easy to get out and access, we had 4-8 inches of snow in that area last week and it is not gonna be warm enough to melt any of it away for at least the next week and a half. When I do bid it will be at the $1100 I said. The only time I would charge more is if at setup if it takes an unreasonable amount of time to get in. 1st 1/2 hour is included then $65/hr thereafter. I've only had to charge that once in 15yrs of doing this but just needed to tell you that given looking at dropsite in pic. Thanks Mike (12/15/2007)

Response: We have the trailer pulled up close to picup spot. we have it snowblowed clear to hookup. no problem on pickup end. Tires are good, do need some air in them before pulled all that way. Trailer has elec brakes, but we have not moved it for 2 yrs. Has two axles. I thinkit should be good for hauling.
(12/16/2007)

Response: How soon are you planning on making choice of hauler? Next few days or weeks? If I get this load for you, how soon can I pick it up if I were to keep trailer stored at my house until I leave for FL in Jan and then to drop at your business? Mike (12/16/2007)

Response: I am looking at you and one other hauler at this time. My duagher is not going to be in TN until about hte 15 to 20th of Jan. I want to make a decision soon. If you pick it up here, where would be keep it until you deliver it. and when do you leave for FL
(12/16/2007)

Response: So you live Chip Falls, I figured you were in TN also. I thought it needed to be moved from Chip Fall sooner the better but if you live there and storage until Jan is no problem i'd just leave it there until I was ready to go, I mainly run trailers for my dealer in Sturgeon Bay (I live in Port Washington) so I'd take a unit to them and then go to Chip Falls to pick up your unit and it would be kept in my driveway until we leave on the 10th or 11th for vacation/work in FL. But will the delivery on the 12th be okay or will that be too soon? I hope not as I would really like to work this load out for both of us. Thanks again, Mike (12/16/2007)

Response: ok, i am getting ready to wrap this up, my daughter wants this delv and set up between jan 20 - 22. will that work for you. pls bid if it will
thanks, deb (12/18/2007)

Response: Unfortunately it won't as We will be there on the 12th. Let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks Mike (12/19/2007)

Response: I dont know what to say, my daughter wont be there in tenn until at least the 20th and I dont want it there before.then. but I can understand you have a timeline to keep to. but thanks anyway
(12/19/2007)

Response: I see you had to relist, is it possible for me to drop the trailer without your daughter there? If you tell me specifically where to put trailer(door position, how far from building, etc) I have no problem delivering and setting up w/ noone there. Done it plenty of times in the past. Thanks Mike@highwaymantrucking (12/24/2007)

Response: They would like to be there. I dont know for sure how to explain to you where they would want it. DO you have tight commitments? If so they could take delivery Jan 22 - 24 even. Would that work? (12/24/2007)

Response: My commitment is that we are taking a vacation in FL. My wife's mother has invited us down to condo they are renting for a week and half starting the 12th and they've got it until about the 25th. Merry Christmas, Mike (12/24/2007)
