Question: Hello, what do you think it would be worth to have this delivered at diesel being 3.50 a gallon, let me know your honest opinion, and I'll see if I can come close to that. Thanks, Gene (12/2/2007)

Response: Shukie, the distance the splitter needs to travel is approx 240 miles. I am reasonable, but would like someone to bring the splitter for a reasonable price. Clay (12/2/2007)

Response: Hello, I am waiting on a answer for a delivery near your pickup point, If I get it I would pickup and deliver it next week for 170.00 let me know if your interested. Thanks (12/4/2007)

Response: Shukie, I need it this friday or Saturday, but your more than welcome to bid 170.00 for this weekend, and I will use you, but it looks like Ron is able to do it this weekend for 180.00. Thanks, Clay (12/4/2007)

Response: Hello Clay,
I will let you know as soon as I can If I can get this to you this weekend or not. If I cant let you know by thursday, I wont have any remorse if you accept someone elses higher bid. Thanks, Gene (12/4/2007)

Response: Thanks, gene your an honest guy, and I appreciate the feedback. Please keep in touch. Clay (12/4/2007)

Question: good evening shipper.markes64 here.what are you looking to spend on this transport?and dont worry about the high cost of diesel cause i use gasoline.lol (12/2/2007)

Response: I am interested in someone making a bid below 200.00 to be honest. Thanks, clay (12/2/2007)

Response: sounds fair enough.how soon does it need to be moved? (12/2/2007)

Response: Mark, I will wait to see if I get any lower bids, I am not in a great hurry, however I have read your feedback, sounds as though you do a great job. Hopefully, your bid will be accepted. Thanks, Clay (12/2/2007)

Question: Clay, I have read your listing and the questions and answers that have been posted, I have a couple of pick ups later in the week out of Columbus and could likely get yours at that time as I am coming out of the Akron area. I am curious about the weight you say 300/lb and my experience with I beams of an eight foot length would suggest that the beam alone will exceed that in any case will there be assistance with loading and unloading? Please check my profile and feedback and let me know, if we're able to get it worked out I'd do it for 180.00 door to door.
Thanks in advance Ron
(12/3/2007)

Response: Light Hauler, I would like to have this splitter hauled down to cincy just a little cheaper, but I think your offer is really good. Please let me wait and see if anyone can do it any cheaper. Thanks, Clay (12/3/2007)

Response: Clay thank you for your reply please let me know if I can be of assistance.
Ron
(12/3/2007)

Response: Ron, can you ship to maysville, Ky for 180.00 I am willing to pay 180.00 for shipment to the farm off the AA highway. Thanks, Clay
The total distance maybe 45 more mile, but I think you can go a different route that would be closer. Please check clay (12/3/2007)

Response: Clay it is really looking like what you want doesn't exist fuel is high and you keep changing your mind, earlier you had stated that you were reasonable and also stated hey I'm really looking for someone to place a bid below 200 so I offer to come in below 200 and now you want me to run an additional 45 miles which just for the record is 90miles you see I have to run back the other way deadhead to columbus for my next pick up I was actually going to do this to offset my deadhead to columbus but below 180.00 it starts to not make sence let me know if you'd like for me to place the 180.00 bid and I will and we can get this done.
Thanks again Ron
(12/3/2007)

Response: Ron, I am going to be in Cincy on Friday or Saturday. If possible could you deliver to cincy on either of those days. I am willing to pay 180.00, I just didn't see the sense in unloading it and reloading it because my hometown is 47 miles from Cincy. However, your right gas prices are high, and your offer is reasonable. Please bid 180.00, and we will be able to work out a drop off point in Cincy. Thanks, Clay (12/4/2007)

Response: Clay thanks again for the reply I am finalizing this route and should be placing a bid for your acceptance later in the day.
I will keep you updated as this develope .
Ron (12/4/2007)

Response: Ron, please send a bid, I wish I could give you a call, but were not allowed to give out information on here. Ron Scheef, will you becoming from cleveland or someplace else. Clay (12/4/2007)

Response: Clay were almost there I promise I just have one shipper who is uncertain about their date and I would have liked to have had it in stone but it hasn't happened just yet Ok I am placing the bid now anyway! (12/4/2007)

Response: Ron, I really want to use your service, but this other guy, who doesn't have any feedback seems to be okay. If he can haul to my hometown than it would be easier on me. I am going to reward whoever makes the trip with a possible hauling job. I need someone to follow me back to cincy on friday with a massive amount of firewood that is already sold for a substancial amount of money. So, whoever gets the load will hopefully benefit going the other way. Thanks, Clay (12/4/2007)

Response: Clay I will be praying the best for you but unless your wood run the amount that I could haul would pay me another 175.00 then it really wouldn't be worth the trip, wow what a bummer here I thought we had it all worked out right down to the bid now I want to use your service, hey 20.00 is 20.00 God bless you Clay.
Ron (12/4/2007)

Response: Ron, I was talking about delivering a cord or firewood, which I was looking to give you 85.00 to 100.00 for your work, but 20.00 is 20.00. I am not on a tight budget, and I don't need someone to tell me how to broker freight. I am trying to have a nice splitter delivered to my location for 175.oo. I am a therapist, and don't have time to play games or run all over the country side. I was trying to help someone out by getting it off the interstate. I like your attitude though, we have alot in common, but I broker my own business on the side. Thanks, Clay
Hopefully, I will still get to use you. (12/4/2007)

Response: Clay whats the zip in Ky and whats the wood zip in cincy and what are you doing first thing thursday morning? perhaps this needs a little different light. (12/4/2007)

Response: Ron, the zip code is 41056 to Maysville, Kentucky. This is my plan, I need the log splitter delivered to the farm, but then I have 4 separate loads of firewood going to cincy on Friday or Saturday. This is where you come into play, if you deliver the splitter then you could follow me back to cincy with at least a face cord or a full cord of firewood to deliver. These deliveries are right off the interstate. I will give you half for one of the deliveries. It's 85.00, but you will have to deliver a full cord for me. I don't know if you could fit that in your van. If you are going to bring a trailer than that is a different story. Clay
So, this is my plan, and now you know why I would like the splitter delivered to my farm. Clay (12/4/2007)

Question: i understand your concern. i have to start somewhere!! i have been driving flatbed semi over the road for 5 years. just lost my job and am resorting to this. thank you for the responce. still interested in saving you money if you change your mind. (12/4/2007)

Response: Hinckley, if you can can bid 150.00, and bring the log splitter this week on Friday, then I will use you. I will want everything strapped down nice and tight, I will also want you to help reload on my truck in Cincy, and help strap it down. I am willing to pay 170.00 if you are willing to bring it to Maysville, Kentucky anytime this week. Thanks, Clay (12/4/2007)

Response: I was reading the other questions and answers, if the cord of wood is also part of the deal then, I am interested in hauling the splitter to KY for you for $170. Will place a bid. We can talk the other details about the wood when I get to KY with the splitter. (12/4/2007)
