Questions for this shipment:

Question: hey i found you but i am not enclosed we have moved furniture b4 and do use moving pads shrinkwrap and then completely wrap in tarp and then tarp over entire load but this looks like pretty big order if you are still interested in us doing do you think entire order will fit in the back of two dually pickups?if not what size enclosed trailer would it take? (4/16/2008)
Response: Hey there! I suppose if you can promise me that the tarps will NOT damage the furniture, and keep it dry, then we can make it work. So long as your pads will protect them from flapping tarps, and the wind wont move the furniture enough that the straps will wear into the finish of the furniture, we should be fine. Pickups will be exposed just like a flatbed trailer will be, unless you have canopies, but they are probably too tall for a camper shell. You would need at least a 10-12 foot trailer with a 6 foot ceiling so they could stand up. If the trailer isnt that tall, you could lay it all down if the trailer is 6 feet wide and 14 feet long. I sure hope we can work this out, that would be awesome! Let me know what you come up with. Id love to get it all on the road late next week or early the following week (anytime the 25th or soon after). Thanks so much, Steve. (4/18/2008)
Response: dates sound good can probably get to over weekend only have one dually coming that way but think i can get it all in dually and trailer sounds like im going to need ALOT more moving pads let me do arrangeing and i will get back with you over the weekend and thanks again!!!ps did you get answer on the washington stuff?could still get it on the way back out if i know soon thanks!!:) (4/18/2008)
Response: Awesome, that would be sweet! No, I havent heard on the Washington stuff. I think they MAY have found someone who can pick it up in Missoula and take it all the way to Anchorage, I will let you know when I know. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/18/2008)
Response: ok think i have this worked out have 2 options to pickup 2trailers one 6x12 enclosed hoping this one works cause the other one is only partially enclosed my bigger plan for buying is to bring it back out monthly or so and leave it so you can fill it at your leasure with loads coming east like i said VERY interested in helping you with future shipments still hoping to get this shipment on by mon 28th at the latest and deliver thurs/fri should be able to firm up soon!!thanks!!!:) (4/21/2008)
Response: What kind of truck will you be pulling the trailer with? If you are planning on a U-haul 6x12 trailer it might be a little tight since it is rounded at the top, and it isnt even 65" on the edges. Plus, the door is very small which makes it very difficult for loading big heavy furniture. I already received a very high bid, but I just cant go that high since I already have the fees quoted to my customers. I would prefer to use you so we can work out any future shipments. Let me know ASAP so I can answer this other bid. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/22/2008)
Response: no i was try ing to pickup a trailer but havnt got an answer yet already have trip out planned and one way uhaul is way to expensive like to have trailer we could bring back out and leave still working on it tell me are there any pieces that are longer than 8 foot? (4/22/2008)
Response: No, none over 8', the bunkbeds are 75" with 83" side rails. There is a large Armoire that is 73" tall. So long as the 6x12 trailer is taller than 75", we are stylin'! If its shorter than 75" we can probably still make it with some extra room in the truck bed/cab. Youre planning on being here on Monday, but dont have a trailer yet? When will you find out? I really need to respond to this bid ASAP. I gotta know that I have one of you to count on for sure, even if its a few days late. Let me know. Thanks, Steve. (4/23/2008)
Response: i would say at this point if you have a chance to move and rhese people are willing to rent trailer go for bit seems like they are good people and could use some good feedback to get going we all had to start somewhere in the mean time i will continue to look for trailer and try to be your"backup plan"and mabye we can leave it with you to catch your next shipment thanks for holding out so long i appreciate the chance and will be watching for your next shipment thnaks!!!:) (4/23/2008)
Response: NOOOO....dont give up on me now! That other bid fell through when they got suspended for sending contact info. Now Im REALLY counting on you, even if it takes longer....let me know what you think. Thanks, Steve. (4/23/2008)
Response: ok let me work on it will be in touch thanks! (4/24/2008)
Response: OK, whats happening? I havent heard back from you today, so Im not sure if you have a trailer or not, if it is enclosed or not, and if you are going to be here or not. I added the book it now, and I still have several other shippers interested, but I need to know what your situation is going to be. Let me know so I can make other arrangements if you arent going to do this, or cant promise safety and DRY furniture to Tennessee. Thanks, Steve. (4/26/2008)
Question: Would ALL of the furniture fit into a 6x12 enclosed trailer? If so, we would like to bid. SWAMPERS (4/20/2008)
Response: Yes, Im pretty sure it would. It DEFINATELY will if the trailer is taller than 75" high on the inside. That way the bunks could stand up. If they had to lay down it would get pretty tight, but could probably be done if we stacked them as high as we could. Then we would need to make sure you have plenty of pads, blankets, and straps. What would you be pulling it with? If you have a Pickup or Truck with a bed, canopy, or sleeper that would give us the insurance space to be sure it would fit! ;) I would love to get your bid. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/20/2008)
Response: Steve, normally we only haul boats for private owners and dealers. We don't have a load yet, to Knoxville, TN for the boat we will be picking up to San Diego, CA. I saw your shipment and thought we could use a 6x12 Uhaul to get your items where they need to go; would help both of us. I checked, and the 6x12 is only 65" high, so the bunks would have to be laid down. We are using a Suburban for this run, so we would have the rear cargo area for extra space, since we took out the 3rd row seat. Let me know if this would work. Marie (4/22/2008)
Response: Hi Marie, The U-Haul trailers arent efficient at all. They slope in at the top edges, so they arent actually 65" high on the sides, only in the middle. And their doors are very small, which makes loading big heavy furniture very challenging. Im pretty confident that we can do it with the Suburban. We will have to be careful and plan wisely, we wont have more than an inch to spare, but Im sure we can get it done. We also have a big 73" tall Armoire, but I think we can slide it in on top of the Bunks. Bring lots of blankets, cardboard, and straps, and maybe a couple of tarps and extra straps or ropes to strap on top of the trailer or Suburban, just in case. Any idea what kind of time frame you are looking at for being here? We will be ready by Monday, the 28th, for sure. Let me know. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/22/2008)
Response: [phone number removed] (4/22/2008)
Response: Steve, I think we could do this. [website removed] (4/22/2008)
Response: Im trying to figure it out, but Im not quite sure what you are suggesting. I think I agree with you, but I just cant quite get the address correct. By the way, I already have the prices set at $1500, I went with the freight estimates from Old Dominion and I was sure that an independent would be able to deliver all 3 to the same state for less than they could. Besides, Im not sure I will be able to get the funds here by the 27th, I have payment from one of the customers, but I figured you could collect the balance from the customers themselves upon delivery. Most customers prefer to pay you directly so they know that they are paying the TRUE shipping fees. I sure hope this will still work for you! In the future, when we do business, I can try to get the money up front, but on short notice like this it is going to be pretty difficult. Try to give me another clue as to what you are suggesting with the riddle. LOL Thanks, Steve. (4/22/2008)
Response: [email removed] (4/22/2008)
Response: [phone number removed] (4/22/2008)
Question: Hello!! I will be going to Tennesse in mid June and to Georgia on June's end. So if you need me I cando it in an enclosed truck. (4/21/2008)
Response: Unfortunately, Im afraid that mid June will just be too long for my customers to wait to receive their new furniture. Thanks for the offer, please keep an eye out for my shipments in the future. Sincerely, Steve. (4/22/2008)
Response: I am loading a family in Texas May 16th for Calgary and then another in Tennessee for Nova Scotia. So I could be available about the 22-24 of May. (4/23/2008)
Question: Steve, Would be at your convience on Sunday or Monday (27/28). I've talked with my husband and he thinks we could definately do the deliveries prior to the 3rd. Our bid included the cost of the trailer and the Uship fees. Marie. (4/22/2008)
Response: Hi Marie, I have no control over the cost of the trailer, nor the fees, but I would like to help reduce your costs for sure. There shouldnt be any need to increase the bid because of the trailer or fees. Have you seen my store, mtlogfurniture period com? It might help you to see some of our other items so that in the future we can work better together. What kind of insurance do you carry to cover my shipments in case of accident, damage, or theft? I look forward to hearing from you soon. I sure hope we can work this out, I would really hate to lose you for this shipment to Tennessee. Thanks, Steve. (4/22/2008)
Question: Steve, We carry USAA Insurance, personal auto and commercial coverage. Our Commercial Coverage covers damage, accident, theft, or any loss up to $1Mil. We have NEVER had any claims. My husband and I have 20+ accident/ticket free years of driving/towing each. My husband has 12yrs in law enforcement prior to retiring due to line-of-duty injury. We can do this for $1500, but would need to know the payment particulars. Thanks, Marie. (4/22/2008)
Response: Hi Marie, that is excellent coverage. I wouldnt expect any claims, which is why I love UShip--you dont have to move it from trailer to trailer, and no forklifts. Im thrilled that we will be able to work this out! No problem, here are the payment particulars: I already have $230 from Knoxville (baby items) to give you on pickup, less whatever deposit I may have to pay now. Did you check out our store? You will get $400 from the other Knoxville order (Twin bedroom Set), and $870 from the Bunkbed order in Nashville, both upon delivery. Lets get this firmed up ASAP. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/23/2008)
Question: ok think i have this thing figuered out can you live with 1639.43 ? if so i need to know how many moving blankets do you think this will take? what kind of supplys are available in your area i carry some straps and tarps and blankets but dont want to be short.hope you dont think i waited this long just to beat you up on price but its bare bones thanks!!!:) (4/24/2008)
Response: Well, that REALLY puts me in a bad spot! Two wks ago when you said you could take this order, I agreed to the shipping fees with these 3 customers. Normally I wouldnt do that, but I wanted to firm up with you. It would be VERY awkward to go back now and ask them for more money. Im NOT comfortable holding them hostage for more money, I sure wish you would have told me this earlier. Im sure you will have other items on this load, so 3 stops in one state for $1500 should be a GREAT deal. I got these estimates from Old Dominion, and I know that ANY small biz on uship can beat them. C'mon, Im countin on you here. We're pretty late in the game to be going through this NOW, and we are running out of time! Im pretty sure we can be ready by Monday, but I would love an extra day or two (Tues or Weds) so we dont have to rush and make mistakes. Will that work for you too? We have several hardware stores within 10-30 miles for supplies. Didnt you get an enclosed trailer? Let me know. Thanks, Steve. (4/25/2008)
Response: well trailer deal fell through again at lat miute(they didnt want to answer some very important questions)and no i didnt book anything else was didnt know how much space your stuff would take so im in a bind two but i have 2 answers 2 our problem 1 reschedule for same times next week and i will bring 2 trucks or 2 i can stay on the hunt for trailer if you have to do this week but either way you need to change your listing to include a "book it now"option for 1500.00 thanks!!!:) (4/25/2008)
Response: Ok, please keep looking for a trailer and if nothing comes through before next week, we will ship it then. Does 2 trucks mean NO trailer at all? I can change the listing, no problem, but how does a "book it now" work better for you? Just curious, Im still trying to figure out this whole uship system. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/25/2008)
Response: yes lets definatly plan on next week wiyh 2 trucks i will do the weatherproofing to prevent any damage and will have more room to bring supplies with me as soon as i se your book it now listing i will accept and this time will be a definate have already booked loads back out thanks!!!:) (4/25/2008)
Response: You mean 2 trucks with NO trailer? What kind of trucks? Or are you planning an open trailer? Hmmmm....Im a little nervous about not having an enclosed trailer. Im not too convinced how "weatherproof" you can actually make them. Plus, with FINISHED furniture any vibration, or tarp flapping, will rub that finish and leave imperfections. With UNFINISHED furniture, ANY water or dirt can ruin it completely. I just need to be absolutely sure. We are just so busy, that I dont have time to re-build anything if we cant be absolutely certain they will be perfectly okay. I dont mind doing a "book it now" listing, but I still dont understand what the advantage is. Just curious, please explain. Im not trying to be difficult, I just want to be sure everything will be fine and work out smoothly. Thanks so much, Steve. (4/25/2008)
Response: no i havent forgotten just been busy iam pretty sure that trip next week will work out and that i may be bringing one cargo van and one dually and am still working on trailer to leave with you monthly also see that someone got a green flag for metioning that uship was going to take large portion of that 1500.00 something i was trying to avoid and i dont understand for the life of me why they didnt get red flagged but i see you are now open to the idea of 1650.00 which would help a great deal and if i could get you to commit to that i will post bid for you to accept and we can set pickup for mon/tues/wed 5th/6th/7th with delivery 2/3days later also have one other concern and that is out of 2 providers you only left feedback for one we live and die by our feedback out here and hope you would leave feedback for anyone you decide to use anyway i know this load has been a nightmare so far for you and believe me its waying just as heavy on my mind letsjust get this one done sure ub happy! (4/26/2008)
Response: I WAS expecting a guy to be here tomorrow for $1599, but I still havent heard from him. So Im still not sure what to tell you. I know I dont have an accepted bid yet, and Im getting very nervous. I still MAY need you, Id be willing to do whatever to try to keep those fees down to a minimum. Check out my uship profile for our business name. Regardless, keep looking for that trailer, I KNOW we will do business in the future. Thanks, Steve. (4/29/2008)
Response: ok looks like you might have this one handled but i still dont have anything going back next week so ill still be here thanks!!!:) (4/29/2008)
Response: OK, Im not sure what that means. Are you still interested? Are you still going to be out this way or not? Let me know, Steve. (4/29/2008)
Response: yes one drop at border is right by you could probably leave one driver there with cargo van to get everything in it we could leaving us a minimum of things to be wrapped and loaded on pickup the last lady we wrapped up furniture for said it looked like we were preparing it for a space shuttle mission i will know for sure who is coming and what equipment friday because of some possible last minute changesso will have to hold out till then b4 commiting so for petes sake if you get a sure thing b4 then go ahead there wont be any hard feelings after all this just trying to help if i can WILL BE IN TOUCH BY FRI THANKS!!!:) (4/30/2008)
Question: i can do this 4 1500 if u can get it to glasgow wrapped and weather proofed ill use pickup and 18 foot trailer it will get done fast (4/25/2008)
Response: Glasgow is over 500 miles from here. If I had a trailer that size and had the time to drive over 1000 miles round trip, why would I need you? Plus, I would never use an open trailer that required weather proofing my furniture and exposing it to the weather. If Old Dominion can transport it from here at that price, anyone can do it for $1500. (4/25/2008)
Question: $1500 is very cheap coming out of Montana...Let me double loomat this and see if I can rebid or not..Keep in mind uship takes a $200 of that $1500 so theres the issue (4/25/2008)
Question: the differance is if i say ican do it, is. i get the job done NOW asap period some people appeciate this. some people have time to hem and haw some dont. point number 2 a lot of montanans can put a load together and drive 500 miles but they balk when they have to go into other states and clear weigh scales and deal with tax collecters (local and state police)or deal with interstates in terrible dis repair and breakdowns far from home where ther are nothing but rip u off trash mechamics and shops . go hit the road sir outside this great state and then tell me off. iused to do this commercially for some lots of years and trust me a run from here to great falls is a snap cmpared to 350 miles of running east of that mississippi river sry i made u mad thank you for your time gary (4/25/2008)
Question: We are delivering a vehicle to Eureka, Montana Monday. We have time to pick this up for $1770. ENCLOSED TRAILER with low profile rear ramp door for damage free loading/unloading. Delivery within 14 days of pick up. We are based in central Missouri and very flexible in regards to your delivery preferences. Bid price includes insurance and all costs associated with the shipment. No hidden fees - No money up front. Pls feel free to browse our uship profile/feedback and thanks for your consideration, Chris & Christi. (4/25/2008)
Response: Wow, if you could make it Tues or Weds, that would be perfect!! I even have a guest log cabin available if you need to crash out for a day or two! Eureka is only 1.5 hr from our shop, it would be a shame for you not to be able to take this load. Unfortunately, I have already had to confirm shipping fees with each of these 3 customers, and it would be very awkward and unprofessional for me to ask them for more money now. I realize that I shouldnt do that, and in the future I wont, but I had another shipper lined up that got suspended from uship and couldnt take care of us. This would be easy money for you since you'll be so close and its delivered to 3 customers, all in Tennessee! I would prefer it if you could deliver in less than 14 days, since I am already behind, thanks to the other shipper. I just cant do it for more than $1500. If you cant do it, I understand, but we are always looking for reliable, professional shippers who can meet our shipping needs on a consistent basis. (4/25/2008)
Response: Tuesday might work If I can "crash" overnight in that guest cabin. $1650 is the best I can do on price. I will deliver to your customers in a timely manner I just put 14 days as a projected date. Once I get back to Missouri I'll rest up a day or two and get the folks in TN delivered for you no problem. Hope this helps and look forwad to doing business with you, Chris. (4/25/2008)
Response: Let me think on it and see how far we get over the weekend. I just may be desperate by then! Thanks, Steve. (4/25/2008)
Response: Very good. If I still have the space available it's yours. Thanks, Chris. (4/25/2008)
Question: Steve, Chris here. Just an update. My delivery in Eureka has been rescheduled from this monday to next monday. Maybe this will work out better for both of us? Anyway let me know if I can be of service. Thanks, Chris. (4/25/2008)
Response: Alright, thanks for letting me know. I still dont know anything either. Check in with me late next week, maybe I will even have you stop by here before you head to Eureka. Either way, I will talk with you then. Thanks, Steve. (4/26/2008)
Response: Will do. Chris. (4/26/2008)

Response: Well, I can only assume that you arent planning on coming here since you have no clue where we are, unless you have found our web site. I still need a shipper, but we are going to finish up tomorrow and be ready by later afternoon to load, or possibly first thing Thurs, but if you are still interested please contact me. (4/29/2008)

Question: i can still do this for 1500 if u can get it to glasgow txs gary (4/28/2008)
Question: Steve, Chris here. I can be there Tuesday, 6 May. Does this work for you? Pls advise, I have other bids I can accept if you've already got it handled. Thanks, Chris. (4/28/2008)
Response: I dont have anything else confirmed yet, but Im still waiting to hear from a couple of guys. One is supposed to be here tomorrow, but I dont have an accepted bid yet. Id say yes to you if we could get it down to $1600, Id rather have one in the hand than 2 in the bush! Thanks, Steve. (4/29/2008)
Response: Steve, Chris here. I can pick up monday afternoon/tuesday morning for $1600. Pls confirm and I will place the bid immediately. Hope this helps. Thanks, Chris. (4/30/2008)
Response: OK, lets confirm then! Im already about a week behind on getting these shipped, any chance you can deliver them sooner than later? When would you expect to be able to deliver? Let me know and send me your bid. Thanks, Steve. (4/30/2008)
Response: I have placed the bid. As soon as you accept it uship will provide us with each others contact info and we can proceed from there. Thank for your business, Chris. (4/30/2008)
Question: We can do this on Friday, we will be delivering in Kalispell, MT. Fuel just went up again, so minimum for this would be 1800. We can have all delivered by Wednesday, the 7th. Let us know if this works for you. (4/29/2008)
Response: Hello, nice to see you back. I wondered what happened to you, you can always check out my uship profile and see our business name and site info. Friday would be perfect, but I have 3 different guys who are willing to do it from $1599-1650, so if you cant go any lower, Ive got it covered. I just dont have anything confirmed yet, so if you want to bid in that ballpark, I would appreciate it. The trailer rental and the expensive fees arent my issue, so if you want this order and perhaps many more in the future, I would try to be competitive on this shipment. Besides, Ive already got the prices locked in with the customers, so I cant go any higher anyway. Let me know what the plan is. Thanks, Steve. (4/29/2008)
Question: well finally!!! see you found a good man and just wanted to say thanks for giving us a chance wont be able to converse once you accept his bid but ill look for you in the future and good luck!!!:) (4/30/2008)
