Question: Hey, my buddy Tom, More stuff I see....HEHEHAHA...Still mending my body from sunday morning, just kidding, Whats the situation on the pickup ends?? Is there sufficient help?? Dont want to get myself into something that i cant manage!! I can only keep you informed since i am still at home from last trip...But can more than likely work something out again!! I will keep in touch!! Also i will post feedback this evening!! Take care...Troy P.S. Thanks for such the kind words... (3/31/2008)

Response: Troy ... you can't possibly want more punishment !?!?
On the pickup end, MAYBE I can make sure there is enough help available - but there is no dock, so I really wonder if you can do it. I suppose on the weight machines we can remove the weights, but the Stairmaster is just one big 400pound turd.
Cant get a ramp for your trailer?
Let me talk to the people on the other end and see what we can work out.
Keep in touch!!
Tom and Liz (3/31/2008)

Response: Yes it does look like 1 big turd!!! Well it probably wouldnt work due to the size, But i do hope you the best finding a good carrier for your items, Would probably be best this go around if you found someone with a LIFT GATE!! That would make life easy on all involved!! Keep me informed in the future, you know me, if it will fit in my trailer i WILL haul it!! Take care!!! Troy Twisted Transport (3/31/2008)

Response: I will see what the loading situation is in Maryland - maybe they have 3 or 4 big guys or a fork truck, or maybe they can disassemble.
When do you think you may be headed East again?
Also - if I disassemble that BIG chest machine (still in my drive) do you want the base section?
Let me know.
Tom (4/1/2008)

Response: Really wish i could help you out on these Tom, but I have to first worry about me..especially after sitting 2.5 days...dont be paying to much!! Someone will get them!! Freight isnt paying out east right now and it would work great for someone needing to fill trailer!! I will keep in touch but dont see myself being of any help on this one...Troy (4/11/2008)

Response: Thanks for keeping in touch ... AND GOOD LUCK!! (4/11/2008)

Question: Hello shipper,
We have a 53' dry van available to pick up and deliver this.
(4/9/2008)

Response: 53' ought to do it ...
How does your schedule look? Ideally, pickup would take place Thursday (tomorrow), Friday, Saturday or Monday, and delivery would take place next Thursday (April 17).
There are other possibilities, but that would be best.
What do you think ?!?!?
And thanks for asking.
Regards,
Tom (4/9/2008)

Response: Friday might work but Saturday would be best. (4/9/2008)

Response: So ... you can pick up on Saturday (April 12th)?
I will confirm that date is o.k. with both sellers.
When can you deliver in Wisconsin?
And what bid price are you considering?
Please let me know a.s.a.p. - I have another (non-uShip) trucker interested in the business also.
Thank you.
Tom (4/9/2008)

Response: Yes sat works perfect please accept our bid below beanertrucking (4/10/2008)

Response: A few questions, please :
1. Tell me a little more about your truck/trailer.
2. How many people in your business?
3. Are you insured?
4. How long have you been doing this?
5. Why is there NO feedback on uShip?
6. If you pickup on Saturday, when can you deliver?
Thanks! Hope we can do business.
Tom (4/10/2008)

Response: Yes insurance is provided at no cost. your pick up will be by a large american carrier I cant say here yet but if you accept bid i can tell you. (4/10/2008)

Response: So, you are not the carrier? You are making arrangements for someone else?
And how long have you been doing this?
And why no references?
And when will you drop off my equipment in Wisconsin? (4/10/2008)

Response: We are the carrier its my cab or power unit attached to the trailer under contract. we will deliver the gym equipment in less than 3 days. We have been in business for 11 years as a freight hauler and carrier. we transport custom motorcycles and cars as well as moves books and equipment. (4/10/2008)

Response: And why is it you have no feedback ... are you new to uShip?
Do you have references I can contact? (4/10/2008)

Response: Yes we are new to this site, we do have refs and can furnish on request but only after bid acceptance. when it is allowed to exchange numbers and contact information. However we will no longer be able to service this load before April 23rd (4/11/2008)

Response: I can live with April 23 or 24 for pickup ... as long as you dont deliver until May 3 or later.
Can you do that ?? (4/11/2008)

Question: Shofar here; I bid I gave you will work and the timing will work if we book it so I can sut up my route. (4/11/2008)

Response: Hello Shofar :
I'm a bit concerned there are no references on uShip - whats the story there?
Also, I have historically paid anywhere from $75 to $150 per piece of gym equipment (depending on size and distance transported) - just had several hauled from easten PA for $100 each. At $200+ per, you would be (by far) the new record holder!
My offer : If you can pick up Monday am and deliver Wednesday pm or daytime Thursday (April 17), I can offer to pay $200 each. If you pick up late April and deliver early May, I can only pay $175 each (because I need to pay the sellers some storage money).
I dont recall ... are you insured?
Please reply promptly.
Best regards,
Tom (4/11/2008)

Question: Tom; Shofar here, yes I'm insured. I like to build a strong relationship. If you any other question please let me know. (4/12/2008)

Response: Hello Shofar-Tom here :
I appreciate your willingness to earn my trust, though I am a bit surprised you are asking top dollar as an entry-level uShipper.
My two questions ... 1. Can you pickup Monday (tomorrow) and deliver Thursday (April 17) for $200 per machine? OR... 2. Can you pick up the last week in April and deliver approximately May 3/4/5/6??
PLEASE LET ME KNOW A.S.A.P. - I am also working with a couple other truckers and two shippers and I'm headed out of town soon and I would like to get this resolved.
THANKS!! (4/13/2008)
