Question: Thank you so much for the bid request! We really appreciate your detailed list, and the pictures. Did you have a budget, or target price in mind for this move? What would be the ideal time that you can move all of your items? We do not provide storage ourselves, but we have helped our customers move into/out of a storage unit during the transition between moves. We will have one driver, and one 16' box truck with a 24' open trailer in your area this coming weekend. We have stops in Trevorton, and Peach Bottom on this route. We may be able to move all of your items this weekend, May 2nd to May 4th. Please let us know if you are ready, and what your target price is so that we may provide you with the best formal bid. Have the very best day that you can! (4/26/2009)

Response: I'm not ready to go that early in May. Thanks. (4/27/2009)

Question: Hello, I am glad to hear you are moving to Michigan. We have had to many people moving out lately. I am a company based out of Canton, MI which is close to Sterling Heights. Have you decided when it is you plan on moving. Since you have done this before do you have a target price I and try to get to. Let me know and I will submit a bid. We are fully legal with DOT and MC numbers and fully insured. Great job on providing and pictures. That always helps. Please take a look at our feedback. Hope to work with you, Brian (6/25/2009)

Response: Although I have done this before, the military had always paid for the moves so I am not too familiar with the costs. I was hoping to get bids since you guys obviously know more than I do about how much you can get from the move and that way I'd be able to filter out bids that were too high. I looked at 3br home moves with similar mileage on this site, and I am seeing an active low bid range of about $1500-$2200. Does that sound about right to you? *(Also keep in mind that I will possibly need you to store the shipment for a short period).
Our dates for moving out are flexible; Anytime within the week of July 11-17th works best.
I will be in MI next week looking for a home, so hopefully I will have a definite address on the destination then. But, it will be within a 45min radius of Detroit. Depending on how long closing takes (probably not too long in MI with all the foreclosures), we may need you to store the shipment until it happens. (6/25/2009)

Response: Thanks for the information. Can I ask how big the tool chest is. I think I can keep you under $2,000 if I get time to plan the trip so I can get other frieght going to PA. If I submit a bid at $1,999 can I earn your business today. I can pick up on your timeline and I would include one month storage here locally so you would have access to the storage in case you needed something while it is being stored. If you find a home before we put in storage I can take $150 off our price because we wouldn't have to unload and reload or storage. 26 foot moving truck with air ride suspension so we would have plenty of room. I could also suggest a very good Realtor in the area if you don't have one yet. Please look at our feedback. Can we earn your business today, Brian PS- thanks for serving. Because of the sacrifices men and woman like you make, my kids live free in the greatest country in the world. (6/25/2009)

Response: Brian, if you bid the $1999 with one month storage included, you have a deal. I read your feedback and it seems everybody you've worked with had a great experience. Do you do half payment on pickup and half on delivery, or how does that work?
Thanks,
Mike (6/25/2009)

Response: Thanks Mike, We work very hard to earn our feedback. I would rather lose on a transaction then ever have a client dissatisfied. I will submit our bid now. When storage is involved we ask for 1/2 payment once the truck is loaded and the balance when we move you into your new place. If it turns out that you find a place and don't need the storage we will take $150 off the price. I look forward to working with you, Brian (6/25/2009)

Response: Brian, that sounds great! I apologize that I forgot to answer your question in your previous statement. The tool chest is a Craftsman... it's about 4-5 ft tall and is not heavy (not too much in it). If need be, it can be disassembled into three pieces. Also, we are currently working with a realtor however I appreciate the offer.

Response: Tool chest is no problem we will have plenty of room. Usally they have wheels that allow us to push it up the ramp and strap it in. Once you accept the bid you will get all my contact information so if you have any questions while you are here looking at houses please feel free to contact me. I have live in Metro Detroit my whole life so I know the area well. Do you have a second car, boat or jet ski or anything like that you need towed back with the move. If so let us know and we would be happy to help on that. I look forward to working with you, Brian (6/25/2009)
