Question: Your inventory list contains items that you say you will be moving yourself. For clarity, it would help if you would remove all items that you will be moving yourself. Doing so will help you get lower bids. Thanks! (7/20/2009)

Response: Thank you for noticing that! I missed several of the items when I revised the listing. I've updated it and it should be correct.
Thanks again! (7/20/2009)

Response: Thanks for updating it! By the way, I'm looking to meet/beat other bid prices. However, since I will be leaving CA for TX/LA/MS later this week, I really want to start my final planning/scheduling. I would love to expedite winning your acceptance, thus, I am willing to resubmit a bid at any reasonable targeted price if you will accept it right away. If interested, let me know what price you are seeking and I'll do my best to accommodate you. Thanks! (7/20/2009)

Response: Are you able to deliver on the same day that you pick up? It takes me 2 hours and 45 min to drive from the old house to the new house, so it's not a long drive. Also, we actually need to have July 30th be the pick up and delivery date, if possible. Let me know what you think. Thanks! (7/21/2009)

Response: I will be near Dallas/Woodlands, TX area on 7/30/09... doing some other deliveries. We wouldn't be able to get to your area until late that night or early the next morning. We prefer to schedule you for 7/31/09 but are hoping for an extra day (8/1) just for good measure. For your flexibility on these dates, I am willing to lower my bid price even further. Please let me know what you think! Thanks! (7/21/2009)

Question: To answer your other question - Yes, we will be able to do your pickup and delivery in the same day. Let me know if it's too much of a problem to do your move on 7/31 & 8/1... and if I can gather enough other loads, I will try to arrange for a truck & driver to be there on 7/30/09 (but this would be a long shot). Thanks! (7/21/2009)

Response: 7/30/09 would definitely be ideal, but if we need to do the move on 7/31/09, I can make that date work and will be ready to accept your bid. One question - as for furniture such as tables or chest of drawers, do you cover them with a quilt of some sort or do I need to wrap them with something? (7/22/2009)

Response: Hi, 7/31/09 will work for us. We will blanket/pad/shrink wrap your furniture items where needed. Please let me know if you have additional questions. Thanks! (7/22/2009)

Response: Wonderful! Here's my only other questions:
Do I need to disassemble the 2 dining room tables?
Do you need the measurements of large furniture before I accept the bid?
Is there anything else I need to do or know before accepting your bid?
I assume you will let me know an approximate time of arrival as it gets closer to the date, correct? (7/22/2009)

Response: Generally, it is best to disassemble dining room tables... but it mostly depends on what they are made out of or how sturdy they are. Please use your best judgment on it. If you think it needs to be disassembled and you prefer that we do it, we will do it for you. We will keep you updated as to our where-abouts via Uship tracking and occasional emails/phone calls. We will be able to provide you with a narrow window of time no later than the day prior your delivery. We will narrow it further as we finish up our deliveries in the Dallas/Woodlands area. For now, we are targeting the morning of 7/31/09. If you have everything packed and ready, I will have two men to load your things. If you have someone available to help load, it will help expedite the loading process. As soon as it's loaded, we will deliver it. (7/22/2009)

Response: Sounds great! My final question is about insurance - are my items covered under insurance while on your truck?
I will accept your bid today.
Thanks! (7/22/2009)

Response: We carry up to $100,000 cargo insurance at no extra cost to you. We will provide proof of insurance and USDOT/MC information after you accept our bid. Thanks! (7/22/2009)

Question: I forgot to mention the measurements - Our main concern is that you don't have anything that is too tall, long,or heavy to fit within the 24ft box truck that we will be using. The height of the inside of the truck's box is 7 feet. Also, we based our bid on the items you listed, which should all fit in the truck, with one trip. The weight of the truck plus the contents can not exceed 26,000 lbs. If you don't have anything unusally tall, wide, long, or heavy, don't worry about measuring/weighing. I hope that helps. Thanks!
