Response: The patio set is the only thing going, maybe an extra box or two. We are just sending this to our daughter in college and want to find a way cheaper than us renting a truck and driving it up to her ourselves. So, if you have another person's shipment going to Tallahassee from Coral Springs, maybe you can just add the patio set to that other shipment. (8/11/2006)

Response: Thanks for replying. Yes, those dates would be fine. Remember, I am only sending a 5 piece patio set from my home in Coral Springs to my daughter in college in Tallahassee. So, regarding the price, please provide me your best offer. I have received a few other quotes and am going to make a decision soon. It would probably be most economical for you to include my patio set with other shipment you have going to and from the same locations. Thank you again for your reply. Question: Sound like a good deal from UPS. On a short run it's very difficult to cover expenses and remain profitable by using just the travel time as the basis for the rate quote. A whole day would be consumed getting to your home, loading and securing your shipment, traveling, unoading, and departing. Few trucks can operate for less than $500 a day. That would be my bid. Obviously there's no reason to bid on it. (8/22/2006)
