Additional Information: I chose 3 Bdr house to ship. However as you can see there is only 2 bedrooms. The office desk is a 5 piece. Which includes the desk and then 2 bookcases that sit on chests. I am guessing on the amount of boxes. However I should be close. Other miscellaneous items. I have my stuff in 2 20ft by 10 ft storage units. My wife loaded the units when I was out of town. So I am not sure of all contents. You are more than welcome to take a look if in the area. One unit has mostly furniture. The other boxes. The box one is probably 75% full. The furniture one is about 50%. The Piano is what is called a Square Grand. About 8' by 4'. About 2' deep. Legs are off. Also have a table saw (floor model)and jig saw (floor model)also a compound metier saw. Shippers must be Bonded and insured with proof. Report a Violation

Question: can you be ready first week in Sept? (8/24/2009)
Question: Please answer questions so we can place bid??????????????? (8/25/2009)
Response: Sorry, didn't see the last question. But yes should be ready first week of Sept. Jim (8/25/2009)
Response: ok thanks will place bid. (8/25/2009)
Response: Hey Guys, THanks for the bid. I do have a question though. You are not the cheapest (not that you should be) but you do have the best feedback. Which means more to me! But is there anyway I can have you see what I have in my 2 storage units to get an exact quote. Also I noticed your trucks go to 26' I dont think that will be big enough. Both units are 10 x 20. One is packed to the ceiling. Mainly boxes. The other has the furniture. Let me know. THanks, Jim (8/27/2009)
Response: Uship prohibts me from contacting till you have accepted the bid a 26' truck holds 4 bedroom home you listed a 3 bedroom home you have 1 10x20 full with boxes how full is the other unit? Thanks Hector (ivanjess). (8/27/2009)
Response: Thanks for getting back to me Hector, The other 10x20 unit is full but mainly furniture and TVs. Also both of the units are right next to each other. Thanks, Jim (8/27/2009)
Response: Ok will allocate 1 truck plus trailer to be on the safe side. thanks Hector. (8/27/2009)
Question: Hello, this is Ashley with Secured Transport, I placed a bid prior to reviewing all the bid detials from other companies. It may look like we need to make some changes to our bid. After reviewing the amount/weight of valuables you have we can do a flat rate truck rental for $3300. This would be a full service move. I was unaware that this would be coming from 2 seperate storage units and the amount of space it would need to transport it safely. I dont want to try to cram your items into a 30ft area. I would rather do a full truck load rental and allow you to use all 40ft to ensure safe transit of your valuables. I do appologize for not noticing all the information prior to placing the bid. Please let us know if we can assist you in any way with your shipment. Thank you -Ashley (8/27/2009)
Response: No problem Ashley. I just sent another question to you, before I saw this new bid. After the answer to the other questions I sent, I should be able to confirm the shipment for you. Thanks, JIm (8/27/2009)
Response: Hello Jim, Thank you for getting back to us so quickly. That is always appreciated. As far as your concern about the horrior stories on adjustable quotes, yes those do accure with some companies and it is unfortunate. Our company does not work off of adjusytble quotes. We prefer to do flat rate bids. Meaning, our truck gets rented to you for a flat rate amount. So we dont have to worry about extra weight or items that you may have missed or forgot about. This makes it easier for us and less stressful for our clients. The total cost to you as I stated in my last converstaion was we would rent you a 40ft carrier and do a full service move for $3300. We do have bubble wrap/blankets/pads etc. for your valuables. If you chose to accept our bid, we will also email you a moving agreement in terms confirming the above conversation that will include all of our responsibilities. If you have any further questions or concerns please feel free to ask. Hopefully this will set you at ease. Thank you (8/27/2009)
Response: Thanks Ashley,Could you please resubmit the bid at the new rate. The other one (the mistake) has been canceled. That way I can proceed. Thanks, Jim (8/27/2009)
Response: Hello Jim, Sorry for the delay. We have been working on some insurance information regarding your shipment and trying to figure out placement of your items in the right kind of truck and trailer set up. Due to the size of your piano and your tools/heavy or bulky items we want to make sure we will have everything we need to do the transp[ort as safely as possible. I have been talking with two other carriers and were all pretty much in agreement that you will or would need all 40 feet to do your shipment properly. We have hauled several baby grands and full size grands and the trick is getting them to lay perfectly flat with nothing on top of them. We just dont want to risk anything with a shipment this large. Please be patient and I will get back to you today. Do you know the weight/size of your tools/equiptment? and I want to make sure that we are all on the same page in regards to the size of your storage, you have two 10x20's. One of which is half full and the other 75% full? (8/28/2009)
Response: Hi Ashley, I am not sure of the weights of the table saw I am guessing about 50-75lbs and the Jigsaw around 75lbs. As far as the units are concerned they right next door to each other. One is probably about 80-90% full. The other with mainly furniture is probably about 60%-75% full. Hope that helps, Jim (8/28/2009)
Question: Ok will cancel bid as I see you have elected to go with Ashley of ST Thanks and best of luck. Hector (ivanjess) (8/27/2009)
Response: Actually Hector I haven't made a decision on who to go with. I am sad to see you that you have withdrawn your bid. But thanks for the consideration. Jim (8/27/2009)
Response: Ok sorry I was under the impression that you would select Ashley will replace bid. (8/28/2009)
Question: Hi Jim, as you can see we have placed a bid but ran out of room to specify that this would be a total amount due of $3400. Not an adjustable quote. Due to the volume of your shipment and us not being able to do a walk through estimate first, this would be the easiest and least expensive route for the both of us. I want to stress to you that without seeing your shipment, I cannot promise that everything is going to fit. I can only promise you the largest carrier available, unless you wanted a semi truck load, but that would cost twice as much. I can say that I am pretty confident but I just wanted to be on the safe side so there is no surprises for either one of us. Box trucks and cargo carriers are a foot to 2 feet smaller in height and width than your storage untis. If we did the math correctly, you will need a minimum of 36ft. Again, this is without actually seeing your shipment. We know that there is a lot to discuss and we appreciate your patience. Thank you very much -Ashley (8/28/2009)
Question: what is your target budget? Luis (8/28/2009)
Response: Hi Luis, Max is $3500. Thanks, Jim (8/28/2009)
Question: Hello Jim, This is Ashley again with Secured Transport. I just wanted to touch base with you. We placed a new bid per your request. We were only able to do a 24 hour bid posting for meaning, our bid will cancel out tommorrow at 4pm. We placed several other bids in your area and we need to know by close of business tomorrow where to reroute the carrier. We have tried to provide you with all the information necessary to complete your shipment. If you do chose to go with another shipping company, please make sure they use atleast a 35ft carrier and an air ride with an 8ft over hang to transport your piano safely. Let us know if we can be of any more assistance. If not, good luck with your move. -Ashley (8/29/2009)
Response: Hi Ashley, I just saw this note on the bid expiring. But I have a situation where my wife wont be ready until Oct 1. After that I am flexible. But the soonest would be then. Would that work in your scheduling. Thanks, JIm (8/29/2009)
Question: hello as you can see I am new to usip and rarely us it to book my loads but I am moving a trailer in your area and if you like I could move your furniture also the trailer is 45' so that'll be more than enough room to fit your entire house. please get back with me asap and let me know what you decide. -Dez- (8/30/2009)
Question: if your furniture is already in storage and you are moving to NV why no let someone move it now to a storage unit for a month and you pickup furniture when you are ready. we could also do that for you w/ 30 day free storage. (8/31/2009)
Response: That is not a bad idea. I had already thought of it. However I dont like the idea of haveing to move it all again. I will have to pay someone to move a second time. Dont get me wrong I like your bid alot. But I am looking for a full service move. Which means I want a team to load and unload in my new home. By the way are you licensed and insured? That is a must to me. Also I am nervous with you not having any feedback yet. I understand you are new. But still makes me nervous. Thanks, Jim (8/31/2009)
Response: I understand the lack of feedback is an issue. I used uship only 2 times b4 and neither customer left feedback. I mainly move cars boats trailers and RVs. I am fully licensed and insured with 250k cargo and 1mil BIPD. we've never moved this much furniture for anyone other than ourselves but I am quite confident that I can do this for you even with the hauling experience I have with my business and prior work. some of my refrences would include SWIFT inc which I transport for weekly out of charleston, sc and various dealerships in and around summerville and charleston area. I wish I could leave contact info here for references but I cant. thats one reason I dont like uship so much you have to book a load and the customer has to pay a fee to get a transporters info. but if you were to crunch some numbers you would see that my bid and service offered along with you renting a uhaul type truck or p/u and hiring some day laborers would benefit you and your wife. (8/31/2009)
Question: Hey Jim just wanted to touch base with you we are in NC tonight and heading down to FL are you going to confirm so I can stop by and check your storage spaces. Thanks Hector (ivanjess). (9/2/2009)
Response: Hi Hector, Sorry I was out of town for a couple of days and just saw you note. I want to confirm this move. However just want to clarify. Once you see the contents of the 2 storage units if your estimate changes that I can cancel the shipment and you will refund all USHIP fees. Thanks, Jim (9/3/2009)
Response: Yes Jim That is correct I f we do not come to terms after i see units you can request a cancellation I will to ut and Uship will refund your fees. Thanks Hector (9/3/2009)
Response: Hector, Are you still comming down here this week? Let me know right away and I will pay for this asap. Sorry took so long had to take care of some other things. Jim (9/7/2009)
Response: Hi Jim already in Miami came down This weekend. (9/8/2009)
Response: Ok, Any suggestions? The Storage Facility is on Hwy 27 about 3 miles North of Hwy 192. If you are coming back up this way. Let me know. I do want to do this with you. I like your communication and of course your feedback speaks for itself. Thanks, Jim (9/8/2009)
Response: I will be going to Austin TX this weekend can stop over weekend and take a look. (9/8/2009)
Response: That would be GREAT! I am finalizing now. Thanks again. Jim (9/8/2009)
