Question: Hello, we can offer a dedicated semi truck with a 48' trailer for exclusive use , with a full service move. What are the dates for this move? (9/4/2009)
Response: I am flexiable on the dates. Sometime in October. I am waiting to hear about a job offer in the next 2-3 weeks and can set a date and delivery address after that. This is a large house - 3,400 square feet with a finshed basement,two floors and a full attic. Here is a breakdown of the rooms: Basement has a large office, living area and dining area, laundry room with stackable washer/dryer and storage room with tools and a lot of boxes and stuff that needs to be packed. First floor - living, dining, breakfast/kitchen and family room. 2nd floor has large master, two bedrooms and library. I also have outdoor grill, 5-pce patio set and sideboard, lawn mower, yard tools two poured concrete fountains and a considerable amount of statuary. I may also want you to transport my car - a 2000 Hyundai Sonata. (9/4/2009)

Response: To be very honest with you my orginal price was pretty accurate on what it would cost to move your house, that includes packing supplies, blankets and shrink wrap, all nessary boxes, fuel, lodging, and labor, we wrap everything inside the house before loading on the truck to avoid minor scrapes or scratches to furniture or walls and doorways, yes we are bit higher but we are the safest, we can get lower in our price, but why take the risk, safety is our main concern with your family treasures, if you would like us to resubmit our bid, let us know thanks, bgs (9/8/2009)

Response: Ok. Let me know when. I'll probably need to move in about thirty (30) days. How large is your truck? I think it is going to take a full-size moving truck to get my house moved in one trip. My house is about 3,500 square feet with a total of 12 rooms with a basement full of boxes - large and small and an attic also full of boxes of stuff. there are three sofas and a love seat, two dining room tables and two breakfast tables all with chairs, two baker's racks, stackable washer/dryer, a piano and a harpsichord, a large and a small crystal chandelier, outdoor grill, 5-piece patio set with serving bar, two fountains and 7-10 opieces of statuary, a library with 9 bookcases full of books three beds, a lot of bedroom furniture, mirroes, side-boards/ buffet tables, clothes and kitchen stuff plus the usual amount of bric-a-brack, lamps, entertainment center, three TV's, etc. Also, can you tell me your bid amount again? Response: This move is dependent on my getting a job in Dallas. I have my final interview this Friday and will probably know something by the end of next week and I'll be looking to move around the 2nd week of October. Who will do the packing and do you supply the boxes and packing materials? I have a lot of stuff - much of it very fragile and antique and I need someone who can pack it and ensure it arrives safely. What sort of insurance is there or is available? I am definitely considering your bid but you'll need to move the expiration date out to Sept 28th so I'll know about the job. Thanks! I CAN TELL YOU STRAIGHT UP THAT WITH THE INVENTORY LISTED, THE FULL BASEMENT, ATTIC, OVER 100 BOXES, AND 3+ STORIES ON BOTH ENDS, THIS MOVE IS DEFINITELY A $15,000 AND ABOVE MOVE; HOWEVER CONSIDERING IT'S ON THIS SITE -"WHERE IT'S DISCOUNTED", WE COULDN'T DO IT FOR ANY LESS THAN $12,000. I LOOK AT SOME TRANSPORTERS WITH BIDS BETWEEN $2000 AND $5000 AND I'M WONDERING HOW ARE YOU GOING TO PAY FOR THE EXTRA TRUCKS TO LOAD ALL THIS STUFF IF YOU DON'T HAVE A 53 FOOTER ? Even thought I have a lot of stuff, I am planning to rent a large moving truck and take a good bit of it myself - the things I don't want to have to worry about like the library books, Harpsichord (it isn't a grand piano and is only 3 ft. wide by 7 feet long and weighs less than half of a small spinet piano). Response: Hi! Haven't heard yet but they said they would be making their decision (they hoped) by the end of this week, which is today. If I don't hear today, I'll probably hear early next week. I HOPE I hear today and don't have to wait out the weekend but all I can do is wait for the call. I still have you at the top of the list to do this move but I just want to be sure that you DO understand this is a very large move. 12 rooms plus a full attic and storage room in the basement. It will take a full-size large moving truck to get it all in. I'm planning to rent a Budget truck for some of the stuff and drive it myself but that would only be a 10-14 foot truck. Also, I don't remember if you said you can pack or not. I've got two chandeliers that need to be crated and also have a small (spinet) piano.
