Question:
12/4/2013
Hi Justin! We are Austin based. Could you use Uships tool to provide your inventory. When is the earliest date for pickup? What floor is pickup? What floor is delivery? Any stairs or elevator use? Do you need a vehicle shipped? Please let me know. Thanks! Report a Violation
Response: Howdy! Ah well that's nice. Local is always good. Yes I'll complete the inventory momentarily. As long as pickup is no earlier than, say, the 10th, we're good, but it is imperative the shipment not make it to Austin before the 15th, when we'll gain access to the residence. 1st floor pickup (apartment - plenty of room in the lot for a truck) and 1st floor delivery (will be a 1 story house, most likely). No stairs. We do have two vehicles to ship as well. I just submitted another auction for that. 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the response! I did notice the 2 vehicles and how you only want enclosed shipping for those. I can only offer to transport 1 along with the household but it would be open transport so to fit your needs, we won't be able to accommodate the vehicles. Either way, we are of course interested in the household. Work related? Is there a budget range in mind? Thanks! -J12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Yeah, we really do want closed transport on the vehicles. We're not absolutely dead set on having them all one shipment, so it's not a deal breaker. I do have to ask, your shipment history is pretty small. Good reviews, but not seeing anything other than local to Austin. How you feeling about a cross-country trek? Been through the California mountains before? And yes, work related in a way. We're native Austinites, moved out here in June and are high-tailing it back. ;) We definitely want to keep the entire move, including auto, below $7,000. 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Justin, I can't deny it but I from Northern Cali and have been in Austin for almost 5 years now. The limited reviews here on uship don't reflect on all what we have done locally and long-distance/state to state wise. Meaning we have plenty of reviews & references for your viewing but can't steer you in that direction(offsite) due to Uships terms and policies. We/I travel frequently for moves and family visits(to/from CA) and am quite familiar with the mountain roads from S.D to Phoenix(the road we'd take after picking you up). It's definitely a gas eater for sure. Anyway, ill work up some numbers to keep in budget and place our bid accordingly. Thanks for the communication. -J 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: That's for all the prompt replies. That does make sense. Glad to hear it. Thanks for understanding. I'll look forward to your bid.12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: If your willing to have us ship the focus open transport in which we would pickup and deliver the same time(or if you get to Austin before 15th, you can pick it up from us early), we would be in the ballpark of $5695(leaves $ room for the santa fe to be enclosed transported by another carrier) for the household and focus! Let me know your thoughts. Thanks! 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Hm. Got a tarp? Can you get closer to $5,000? What would your target pickup day be and how long for the trip? Still deciding on a couple different places to rent in Austin, so I don't have an exact address for the destination yet but it'll be a 1 story house in a residential area, at any rate. The current apartment location is the Tradition Apartments in Carlsbad, CA. 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Btw, what is the name of the current complex so I can do research of the layout. Thanks! 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Justin, a tarp wouldn't be that effective due to the fact the drive winds will always find that 1 or multiple places to flap and cause paint damage. make sense? I was only offering to do the focus on the open at the discount rate. If your truly not comfortable in the open transport, I can take that out of my bid altogether and just do the household. Not a problem at all. Pickup would be between the 8th-10th with delivery on the 15th. The trip alone will only take 2-4 days due to a couple stops(possible other shipments going to Tx) along the way. What zip code are you considering? We are out of 78729, just south of Cedar Park/620. Either way, the 78759 zip is north Austin, so pretty close to us. For only the household, ballpark of $5095. -J12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: I'm okay with including the car, sans tarp. You're right about the winds. We've made the drive ourselves. You'll definitely have room for some pickups/dropoffs on the return trip. We're looking mainly in the Arboretum area, or possibly on the other side of 183 in the same spot. It'll be NW Austin for sure, so not that far at all. My office is right at 620/183 so I want to be fairly close to their without straying too far from Mopac. *there12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: I know the area very well, 4 miles away from where I am located(183/McNeil). I can enter a bid for the household and leave the vehicles out to see what you can get. If it comes down to it and you'd rather me transport 1, we can do so. I appreciate the responses and look forward to booking your move. (You would be our last leg home; Austin to Atlanta, to Huntsville Alabama, to Denver, to Northern Ca, then down to you and back home). -J 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Actually, talked it over with the wife and we decided to go with our original plan and drive the second vehicle out, so we've only the one to ship (mine) anyway. I'm not as concerned about open transport as she, so I'd like to include this in the bid and just plan to include the car. Thanks for all your prompt responses. 12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Great, no problem at all. Ill place our bid accordingly. Thanks! 12/4/2013Report a Violation

Hi Justin, Can you provide me with the itemized list? Thanks!Report a Violation
Response: Yes, I'll complete the inventory on Uship momentarily. Completed. Completed.12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the inventory list! QQ: Approx how many feet will it be from your front door to where I can park my semi? I can haul (1) vehicle and your household items for $7,235. If there is room left for the 2nd vehicle I would charge $1,150. Most importantly, I have posted my USDOT# in my profile for you to see. If you click on the link you will see my license is ACTIVE. Very important... This means I am aloud to haul your belongings across state lines. Thanks!12/4/2013Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the quick reply. I do not suspect you would be able to maneuver the rig into the actual apartment complex, from the look of it. You'd likely have to park that beast on the cross street, and in that case, a few hundred yards, anyway. 12/4/2013Report a Violation

Response: Hi, Rob, thanks for reaching out. We do have two vehicles (a Santa Fe and a Focus - see my other auction). Thinking it would be a tight squeeze for both vehicles and the rest of our things...12/4/2013Report a Violation
