Response: I am moving my whole 3 br apartment. I will do all the packing. I just need someone to transport it from point A to point B. Maybe someone to help load and unload pending price. No assembly needed. I will have family to help once I arrive. (8/20/2009)
Response: The dimensions of the container are 92" W x 90" H x 20'D. Would you think it would take more than 1 trip? If not, we could do it for $800. This would include 1 respectful, careful, clean, and fit man to help load an unload, and a 20' box truck with liftgate. Response: Yes, I do have a photo, but I wouldn't be able to email it to you because U-Ship won't let us exchange any information, which could be used to circumvent the site. They want to make sure we won't make a deal off of U-Ship. However, I added it to our profile photos. Check out our profile and take a look. We just did a move over the weekend, which had 4 large pieces of furniture, 3 small furniture, about 30 med boxes, and about 20 - 30 other med sized items, a and we were able to fit everything, with about 1/3 space left empty. So the total will be $800 for everything? I pack and you transport,load and unload? I currently was planning on having ABF bring relocubes for me to personally load, but your deal sounds more comforting for me! Response: Your nervousness is natural, & we understand how critical a move is. When delivering antiques, freight, etc. your dealing some of a person's belongings, but when dealing with a move, it's ALL of a person's belongings. When I go to do a move, I go focused on the move. We're not a freight or moving company who is looking to maximize profit. If we agree on a price, we're not going to try to rush your job to get to another job immediately afterward, or compromise your move to make more money. I plan to be there at the agreed time, take my time, and make sure all is safe and secure. I'm a very detail-oriented person and will be very careful with your goods. We'll stop several times along the way to check on the load make sure everything is where it's supposed to be. You won't be disappointed. $800 will be our bid. From that, my U-Ship fee will be about $150, and we'll be left with $650. After gas & tolls we'll be left with a fair day's pay. (8/20/2009)
Response: Are your dates flexible? I was planning on sending the shipment off on the 3rd for a 4th delivery with the other company. but if you can come on the evening of the 2nd. I will be driving on the 3rd. Do you "have" to take the main roads? I travel their frequently and take minimal tolls. The NJ turnpike is not so friendly! :) Thank you for finding me. Response: Yes, we are flexible and are available on the 2nd. We don't have to take the turnpike, but we do have to take roads that will accept box trucks and that do not have any bridges lower than 12'. Especially when fully loaded, we would prefer to take the smoothest roads, with the least amount of pot holes or uneven surfaces. Unfortunately, we could only accept credit card payments through PayPal. However, could you send half before the move in the form of personal check and the other half cash upon delivery? Response: The route I will be taking 95 to MD, I guess this is the quickest way. It will take approx. 6 1/2 hours total.(pendng the NY traffic) Will you be arriving on the 3rd or 4th? We've had customers in our antique business that we wish would've never bought from us because they were so demanding and were abusive of our kindness and generosity.
