Question: Hello, My name is Jerry, an owner of SAG Industries Inc. We specialize in transport of household goods and vehicles. Please see our Uship profile to view other large household moves we have completed for customers just like you who turned to Uship to find a quality mover at an affordable price. Please begin at http://www.uship.com/profile/SAGindustries/ by viewing feedback posted by past Uship customers’ giving testimony to their experience working with our company and their level of satisfaction. We transport all of our customers’ cargo in a 42ft enclosed trailer w/ climate control, 110V lighting, and alarm system. Rest assured that your job will be handled properly and professionally from start to finish and that all of your prized possessions will be insured at full value at no addition cost to you. We provide daily e-mails for tracking the location of your goods in transit and provide a 24hr phone number for customer service. Please let us know if we can count on this job. ~SAG~ (1/8/2009)
Response: Also, it looks like we'll be going to Clarksburg, MD (about 20 miles north of Bethesda) We're still finalizing the lease so I can't give you a definite but it will all be within a 20 mile radius. (1/22/2009)
Response: Hello Naomi, We have submitted an official bid on the terms we have discussed. Please let us know if you have any questions. There is a possibility that I (Jerry) will not be the one driving your items, but you would still deal with me or Erin by phone and e-mail throughout the entire job. If it is not me personally driving it will be one our employee who is trained by me and works directly under me, and who will handle the job just as I would. I will let you know a week or so before the move if I will be the one driving, or not. It all depends on whether or not I have to be in Wisconsin on business during the time of your move. We would like to begin loading in the morning around 8 or 9am if possible on the 14th and then set out the following morning for the destination. Uship will release our phone numbers once the bid is accepted. Feel free to call anytime 24/7 with questions or concerns. If we do not hear from you, we will call you approx. 1 week before the load date. Thanks.~SAG~ (1/23/2009)
Response: Sounds good. (1/23/2009)
Question: Hello, We specialize in large long-distance household moves and would like to accommodate you in your move. Please see our Uship profile at http://www.uship.com/profile/SAGindustries/ to view other large jobs like yours that we have completed along with the customers' testimonies as to their experience with our company and their level of satisfaction. The last larger move we completed is listed on our profile page left by "craigdyson" posted 12/28/2008 and that job was a large 4-bedroom home and a minivan which went 2500 miles. We took it all together in one trailer without incident. We would like to work towards an agreement with you and hope to hear from you soon. Thank you for your time. ~SAG Industries Inc~ (1/9/2009)

Response: Thanks for your interest. It looks like you've gotten excellent feedback. I will need to get back to you for a revised quote. Due to my job I may need to move to NJ instead of Chicago. I won't know for another week. Once I know I will post here. Thanks... (1/10/2009)
Response: Hello, Jerry here w/ SAG Industries Incorporated. I am just checking in with you to see if your employer let you know if you will be moving to NJ or not. It would be great if we could perform your move and earn your positive feedback. Hope to hear from you soon. ~SAG Industries Inc~ (1/15/2009)
Question: Full service means packing all the little stuff in your drawers and selves in boxes. To do that a mover has to get a license in the state & city where it does that. I would be wrapping with blankets all the furniture myself regarless. Loading y time consuming and expensive you can save money by having friends bring the items to the truck. (1/10/2009)
Question: One area we would like to bring to your attention is that Uship has now added a helpful feature that protects the shipper. This feature allows you to click on the service provider's screen name, opening their profile page. On the provider's profile page you should see an MC number, all legal carriers are granted an MC number. If an MC number is not present on the profile, proceed with caution. More importantly, Uship has added protection by allowing you to click on the MC number of those who have provided one, and look at the federal public record to see if that provider's licensing is active and whether or not they have the special licensing needed to move household goods. We strongly urge you to use this wonderful feature and we applaud Uship for bringing this feature to the site; it was greatly needed. Those who haul illegally are bad for Uship, for us legal providers, and for you the shipper. We hope your move runs smoothly whether you hire us or not. Thank you. ~SAG~ (1/15/2009)
Response: Would you mind rebidding? I've had to change my moving location from Chicago to Bethesda, MD due to work. Thanks! (1/17/2009)
Response: Naomi, a similar job to your's is listed on our profile page http://www.uship.com/profile/SAGindustries/ left by "craigdyson" posted 12/28/2008. It was a 4BR home and a minivan which went 2500 miles for $6,500. We took it altogether in one trailer without incident. Your job would be similar in scope as a 3BR home and a Jeep going 2670 miles. We will not be the cheapest bid you get on Uship, but you will hire a company that is licensed by the federal government to move both household goods and automobiles and a company that has a proven track record of doing whatever it takes to keep the customer happy. We cannot promise that everything would go perfectly, but we can promise we would be responsible and make right with you anything that may go wrong. We would move all your household goods and the jeep in one trailer directly to the destination and they would be insured up to $100,000.00 at no additional cost to you. With that said, can we count on this job if we can come to terms? ~SAG~ (1/17/2009)
Question: Hi, 1. Can we pickup between Jan' 19th to Jan' 21st delivery 5-11 days? 2. Can we do HHG only? if so i can do the job for $3,475. Please check my profile and let me know ASAP. Thanks, Eli. (1/17/2009)
Response: No. I will not be moving until Feb. 15th. (1/17/2009)
Response: HI, THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE,FEB IS OK. (1/17/2009)

Response: Hi Jerry, Very impressive feedback! Glad to see it. Take a look at the pictures I posted in my profile - there are 10 which show all the major pieces of furniture in my house. Although I have a 3bdrm apt. there are only 2 beds and no kitchen items like microwaves, dishwasher, fridge, etc. The hardest things to move would be my chaise sofa (which does separate into 2 pieces), the king size bed and bedroom dresser. This should give you a better idea of what the work entails. I cannot guarantee I will accept your bid immediately but you will be in the top 1st or 2nd if we can come to an appropriate number. I have no intention of stalling and expect to come to a decision in the next 3 days or so if your bid is reasonable. Thanks! Naomi (1/18/2009)
Question: Shipper, what is the box count? Thank you! (1/17/2009)
Question: HI, $3,475 without the car? let me know. (1/18/2009)
Response: Hi Eli, Thank you for your bid however I chose to go with a shipper that can ship both my car and HHG. Thank you for your excellent communication and bid. Good luck in the future. (1/19/2009)
Question: Continued.. As we were saying we feel that of those who have their MC# posted on their Uship profile, our feedback is better. Every legal carrier who has the appropriate licensing to transport household goods "for hire" is issued an MC#. Having an MC# does not give legal right to transport household goods specifically. In order to transport household goods legally, a carrier must have special licensing called "household goods authority". We have made accessible our MC number on our profile and by clicking it, you can see that we have the appropriate "household goods authority". In short, we feel we would offer better transit time and tracking of cargo, and of your active bids with licensing info published on the Uship profile, we feel our feedback is better. With this said, would you be willing to accept our official bid if we can come within $350 of your active bid of $4150 + $500 w/ vehicle? Would this be acceptable to you? Thanks, Jerry ~SAG Industries Inc~ (1/18/2009)
Response: Yes this bid would be acceptable. Please delineate the payment structure (i.e. deposit, etc.) (1/19/2009)
Question: Naomi, thank you so very much for your quick response and thank you for the additional information on your inventory. It would be great if we could come to terms with you within the next 3 days if possible. Also, thank you for your compliments on our Uship feedback reputation--we hope we will have the opportunity to earn your positive feedback as well. We see you have 2 active bids as it stands. We would like to address your options to this point and see if we can come nearer to an agreement with you. First off, we would set out for the delivery destination the morning following our loading in Redondo Beach and work at arriving in Bethesda as soon as possible within the confines of federal regulation, weather, etc. We would not tell you 45 days; we would set out for the destination immediately and give you status updates of our location daily. Also we feel that of the providers who have their MC # posted on their profile, our feedback is better. To be continued...~SAG~ (1/18/2009)
Question: Naomi, thank you so much for extending this job to us, it is greatly appreciated. We will do whatever it takes to earn your positive feedback. Payment would not be due until we complete the job to your satisfaction and we will work within your schedule for pickup and delivery. Is the timeframe of 2/14-2/20 still best for you? We will build into the Uship contract the dates we agree to plus the other relevant information we have discussed, along with anything else you request. If we submit an official bid tonight or tomorrow will you accept it promptly so we can both rest assured? It would help us to know that we can count on your job and prepare accordingly. Accepting our bid now would require only a small deposit Uship holds (about 10% or less) and the remainder would be due when we complete the job. Also, once an official bid is accepted we are free to communicate outside Uship. We are very easy to work with and flexible as you will find out. Erin & Jerry ~SAG~ (1/19/2009)
Response: I look forward to meeting you both. The 14th would be best. Also if you're able to make good time and get there before the 20th that would be ideal. If your bid is within what you previously stated I will accept it. Thanks, Naomi (1/19/2009)
Response: OK Naomi, this all sounds good to us. We will set out a loading date of the 14th in the Uship contract. We are limited by the federal government on the number of hours we can spend driving each day, but we will work hard to make the best time possible. We always shoot for 500 miles per day, even after stopping for fuel, food, etc. A good rule of thumb we have found that works well is the number of miles divided by 300 = the approximate number of days needed. In your case, about 9 days. We will do our best to try to make it in 6, but this is a very long trip and the mountains slow down our large rig significantly. Also keep in mind, we would be loading for most of the day on the 14th and would not set out until the morning of the 15th, so to be realistic, our arrival date would be somewhere between the 21st and 24th. We would rather be early than late. We will work with you to make the delivery convenient for you. ~SAG~ (1/19/2009)
Question: hi i can do everything except the car for 3800..i can pick up on the 14th with delivery 3 to 5 days after (1/19/2009)
Response: I understand, however my decision is final and firm. Again, thank you for your time. (1/19/2009)
Response: this is my first timr writing you..what do you mean by what you said (1/19/2009)
Response: My apologies. I had just written to another bidder and answered you thinking it was him. He had a similar bid. Thank you for your bid but I've decided to go with someone else. (1/19/2009)
Response: ok no prob..if you change your mind i can do it for 3217.00 if its not in the college park area on delivery (1/19/2009)
Question: Hello again Naomi, we ran out of room on the last message, so we'd like to finish up in this one. We will do our very best to make good time in our driving with your items and will keep you updated daily on our progress and location. It's very important to us that we do not make a promise to you that we will be unable to keep, and therefore we ask that you give us a bit of a buffer area on the delivery date so that we can strive to be early and not be late. We want to earn your positive feedback and we need to protect our 100% positive feedback on Uship, so that is why we ask for a safety cushion on the delivery date -- we do not want to disappoint you. We ask for 9 days and will do our best to make it in 6. We will submit an official bid for $4950. This is within $300 of the other bid that we were comparing to. We are giving you $50 off because you have been great to work with and because we are asking for additional time to make the journey. Shall we submit the bid? ~SAG~ (1/19/2009)
Response: I understand your concerns about positive feedback on Uship. I have to balance out my decision however on time and cost. To give you an extra 3 day buffer costs me in hotel, car rental and food charges. In addition I have work restraints and can't be in limbo for too long. I'm willing to pay more for quality of service and I'd rather give my biz to a mom & pop shop however at some point it simply exceeds my time parameters and budget. I'll have an answer for you in 48-72 hours to see if we can swing this. I'd like to use you guys. It does, however, have to make sense for both of us. Naomi (1/19/2009)
Response: We respect whatever decision you make. We understand that you have to weigh all of the costs associated with your move. If we load on the 14th and set out on the morning of the 15th, we feel pretty confident that we could arrive in Bethesda on or before the 20th, but if we arrive on the 20th, we would most likely not want to begin the unloading process until the 21st, when rested. The large national moving companies are bound by the same driving regulations we are -- no more than 11 hours of driving per day and no more than 14 hours per day on duty, with a mandated 10 hours off. We feel that we can be competitive in transit time, but we also want to be realistic. There are many mountain ranges across the country that we would encounter that slow down big trucks and we would like to have a little bit of cushion in case of bad weather, an accident with a deer, etc. For what it's worth, we have never been late for any Uship customer. ~SAG~ (1/19/2009)
Question: Naomi, one other thought we had that may or may not be feasible -- is there any way the load date could be scheduled to take place before the 14th? We understand that you may run into the same issues with car rental and hotel expense if we would pick up earlier, but we also thought you might be able to stay at your home for a day or two with just your hotel bag before you set out. Of course, this would all depend on whether or not the Jeep is your only transportation in California and your ability to stay in your place without all your stuff. It's just a thought we had, you probably have already considered this as you seem to be an intelligent woman, but we thought we'd run it by you anyway. Thanks, Jerry & Erin ~SAG Industries (1/19/2009)
Response: Thanks for the suggestions - yes I had thought of those alternatives as well. I will have an answer for you by tomorrow evening, PST. Naomi (1/21/2009)
Response: Sounds good. Thanks for keeping in touch. We'll be back in Kansas tomorrow and are looking forward to the warmer weather. It sure has been cold out east the last four weeks. We'll check our Uship e-mail tomorrow. Take care, Jerry & Erin ~ SAG Industries (1/21/2009)
Response: Ok guys. We're good to go if you are. I'll accept your bid with the terms in previous emails. Thanks for your patience. (1/22/2009)
Response: Hello Naomi, sounds good. We will get an official bid submitted in the near future. We're back in Kansas tonight, but it's been a long day so we may not get the bid submitted until tomorrow. We'll make sure we get it done. Also, we threw a couple of scenarios at you regarding the pickup and delivery dates. Do you still want to load on the 14th, or is an earlier pickup OK also? If not, no big deal. How about the transit time? Are you able to allow us the 9 days or less that we requested? Please let us know. We'll wait to submit the bid until we know for certain what terms you mean. That way, the Uship contract will outline those terms. Thank you so very much for your business. As you know we are a mom and pop operation with two young daughters to provide for, so this job will help in that endeavor. We of course also know that in return we will be helping you, and we look forward to earning your positive feedback on Uship. Jerry & Erin ~SAG Industries (1/22/2009)
Response: Hope you get some rest! The 14th is good. 9 days or better as you mentioned with your best (and safest) attempt at the better part ; ). Thanks. (1/22/2009)
Response: Naomi, The different destination address is no problem for us--just let us know what the exact address is when you get it nailed down. The dates sound good too. We will get the bid submitted sometime today, before tomorrow. Thank you for your time, and we look forward to earning your positive feedback on Uship. Erin & Jerry ~SAG Industries Inc~ (1/23/2009)
Question: Hello Shipper. How firm are your dates? Thanks, KW (1/20/2009)
Question: Hi Naomi, I can do HHG and the car door to door service delivery 3-14 days for five thausend. Please check my profile and let me know thanks, Eli. (1/22/2009)
