Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, Please check my driver profile, feedback & pictures. That will tell you about me. I drive a Ford F350 longbed dually pickup pulling a custom 18'open single car hauler trailer. I am taking a car to western Montana then picking up a small pickup truck near Coeur D'elane, then picking up a Chevy engine in Spokane WA all coming to San Diego county. I could stop by Eagle (near Boise) on my way back & pickup the 3 Honda parts bikes (I owned a MC shop in Colorado for 20 years, I know about Honda trail bikes & parts bikes) then deliver to you in Santa Ana. The bikes would ride in the bed of my truck. My home is in Fallbrook CA (north San Diego County) My pickup date would be about Sunday Apr 27 (not firm yet) with delivery 2 days later. Best price I could bid would be $229. Please respond ASAP so I can place a bid, coordinate & schedule the trip. Thanks for your consideration. Jim "fearlessfossil" Long (4/17/2008)
Question: Hi Again, because I have a few short hauls to make today, tomorrow & this weekend, I am going to go ahead and submit a formal bid. It is pretty important that you accept ASAP so I can schedule you in, must decide if I come back south through Boise/Salt Lake, Or through Portland from Spokane. I will submit the bid within the next few minutes. Thanks, Jim "fearlessfossil" Long (4/17/2008)
Response: Jim, Thank you for your bid, I am very interested in haviing you ship these bikes, but my budget is only $150.00, if you are willing to negotioate please let me know. Also if you need me to come to fallbrook to meet you I can for I have grandparents who live there. Also that might make the price that I am looking for obtainable. (4/17/2008)
Response: Well thanks for the response. BUT, normal fee for transporting A (1) bike 1047 miles would be @.55 per mile 576 bucks, your 3 should run you about 1500. I thought If I could just put them up in my pickup bed and bring them down since I was coming by anyway an extra 200 would be OK, but I can find another load that is willing to pay the freight. No offense but the bid as it stands is firm. I will look elsewhere & when I find a load if you haven't accepted yet. I will have to cancel the bid. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Thanks, Jim "fearlessfossil" Long (4/17/2008)
Response: Jim, I will most likely be taking your bid, what day would you be picking the bikes up, so i can schedule it with the man i am buying the bikes from. Thank you, Brent (4/18/2008)
Response: Hi Brent, Thanks for the response. OK, best time frame I can give you NOW, is Sunday the 27th or Monday the 28th. The only firm times I have now is that I can't pickup the car going into Canada until Wed morn the 23rd after 10AM. then I know I must meet my Canadian at the border in Sweetgrass MT. before the automotive import office closes(4PM)on Friday 25th. I have to pickup a Ford Ranger pickup coming back to San Diego in Osburn ID some time Sat then go to Spokane to pickup an engine short block. The short block belongs to the owner of the Ranger so it will load in the bed of the Ranger pickup truck. Your 3 part bikes would load & ride in the bed of my Pickup. I may also have (not firm yet)a MX motorcycle that will ride across the front of my trailer in front of the pickup. If it goes, it is a load in Spokane. So pretty hard to give positive times yet. But 27th or 28th, we can make it work. Jim "fearlessfossil" Long (4/18/2008)
Question: Hi Brent, My bid expired without any word from you. My trip and all shippers have finalized now. I do have a delivery in Nampa ID so I will be very close to Eagle. I will depart Fallbrook on my way to load and proceed north early morning Wednesday April 23, I will have room for those 3 Honda parts bikes. So a last minute schedule would be OK. Let me know if you want me to relist my bid. Thanks, Jim "fearlessfossil" Long (4/19/2008)
