I am heading home to MI tomorrow (Mon) and could deliver this in the bed of my superduty (strapped and tarped) for $325. I would pick up around 12-1pm and deliver around 930pm. Response: You may have a deal. Will the engine have to be crated or palletized? The owner does have a cherry picker, it's currently on a stand. How will you pick it up? Forklift? That's my only concern. IT could be set on some old tires and tied down. I just don't want the old pan damaged. Fill me in. (9/15/2008)
Response: If the seller has a cherry picker that would probably work to load it into the bed of my pickup...I could set it on a pallet or an old tire and strap it down. I have transported other motors before and have had no problems. Do you have a way to extract it once I get to Bath? I have not heard from any of my other shippers yet so it may be tomorrow before I'm ready to commit for sure to picking up. Response: He says he does. I'll call tomorrow and check with him again. A couple of old tires would probably work best to keep the weight off the oil pan. I'll see if he can come up with those as well. I do have a way to get it off here. I have an overhead hoist in my barn. If you truck is not too big we can back it in and grab it, if you have a larger truck I may have to unload it at my work. I'm a shop teacher for Grand Ledge High School so it not really any further. We could unload it in the auto shop there. How big is your truck? (9/15/2008)

Response: Hal. I just talked to the seller. He says with his cherry picker he can get it into your truck. He can also come up with a couple of old tires to set it on. So we're set there. He did have one request though, he is suggesting Saturday as a pick-up day. It would work best for him. I know you were thinking Thurs/Fri. Do you have a departure date set yet??
