Additional Information: Outback travel trailer 2002 28'. Weight approx 8000lbs with its equip. Great condition, road worthy , current registration.
In addition I have a 98 Dodge Ram pick up to be shipped from and to the same location. Yes it is the truck I pull the camper with but I don't think its strong enough to pull across country.

Question: I also forgot to tell you I require NO DEPOSIT and you should not have to make one to anybody because some NOT ALL will take your deposit and you will never hear from them again (you can read about this on the Uship Message area) and because they have your camper which is worth more than the shipment itself it should not be required. Is your price included of Insurance? i also have my truck that pulls the trailer to be moved back here but she is a 98 dodge Ram 1500 and not really strong enough to pull all the way across country, any suggestions of how to get that back? Question: I am flying out to LA on the 24th and then back here to NY on the 27th, I have a Dr I see in LA and a friend in Mission Viego that I visit when I come out to California, as for the truck you could have it transported out but it will cost you anywhere from $.65 to $1.00 a mile to move so dont be surprised at the price to move it. I know when I take cars out to La I charge between $2200.00 and $2400.00 just because of the way fuel prices are. Anyway when you find a place to store your trailer and need it moved and would like for me to do it send me a message. Thanks (8/7/2006)

Question: You should not pay a deposite? Driver speak for yourself when it comes to ethics. Dont try and use a scare tactic to gain leverage. That is B.S. The reason people get burn'd on uship is because they try and hire the cheapest rate no matter who it is from. If you do you home work, and that isnt hard, and hire a driver with good feedback and plenty of it, you could pay it all up front and not have to worry. Now any driver that would take more than 1/2 the total cost of the run up front is asking too much. 1/2 is fare and covers the driver as well. Shippers too can rip you off. Response: Dear Sir..did you give me a quote or are you just giving me info or bashing the other driver.For your information a family member of mine will be there when the trailer is picked up, namely a Deputy in New York. Secondly,I have friends that work for DOT that will of course check out the Driver. Scare tactics are NOT a part of my decision, however someone that answers my questions and is helpful is paramount. Question: I dont think its a scare tactic at all, the point is the driver has the persons personal property that is worth more than the cost to ship it so why take a deposit. UNLESS the driver doesnt have the money for the trip or is taking someones CASH and no showing up, he was right about reading it on Uships web site its in there all the time how some are doing it. Question: Here is the link from Uships web site about insurance, the rate would be $.80 per $100.00 dollar value. But I dont think it will let you purchase it so I would have to do it for you if you want to go that way but like I said before I would need the value of the trailer to tell you the cost. Question: I saw my e mail that you sent and I laughed, sounds like a plan and right when I get back from LA on the 28th or so I will pick up the trailer and head back to MV. This way you will have time for the insurance thing and have it for Labor Day, Oh by the way what are we having for OUR cookout for Labor Day on Mission Viego Lake? Response: Hi Tony I checked with Allstate who I have collision trailer coverage with and they told me its covered for you to pull. O bviously you have your own insurance if you hit someone and you have your own bodily injury so I guess we are set on the insurance. If that sounds OK with you lets get this party started! Question: I got your answer on the insurance thing and that was OK and the new location was not a problem either, I am looking for something for the return trip to the east coast and thats the snag I am having. I have a few bids out and no one has answered them yet. I am limited on what I can haul back without my trailer and this company I deal with in AZ hasnt got back to me yet. Question: I happy to see you check out your insurance, I always tell people to check with their agent. It always covers RV, boats, and even cars in transit. Most people don’t know this and pay for something they already have. You said you were worried about driving the truck because it is a 99 with 80,000 miles on it. I am a retired mechanic, and I travel equipped to make any repairs. I could check out your truck, and “baby” it across the country. 80K miles is really not a problem, especially when being driven by a retired master mechanic. My Diesel tow truck has over 500K on it, and so do many commercial trucks, so 80K is not as bas as it seems. My offer to tow your RV, with my truck, and drive your truck still stands. Response: OK I just called NY and the truck and trailer will not be ready until tomorrow after 4:30 pm. the trailer is getting inspected and we I have been trying to sort out from DMV where the new Registration stickers are. The Registration is valid and current however when we moved they did not get forwarded. the person you would be picking the trailer up from is a deputy and can confirm it is valid.We are going to get a print out to show it is valid for you to keep in the truck.Do you have a problem with this? I would love for you to do the move for me so I hope this is OK.Let me know asap so I can make the arrangements. What about the financial end? Do I pay the full amount when you get here? (8/21/2006)
