Response: Hi Susie, On my bid, I had requested a pickup date of the middle of next week. If you would like to pick it up earlier that may be possible, provided you have a place to store it. This is the first time I have shipped a boat and have a concern regarding the shipper showing up due to mechanical issues beyond their control. Where are you located? Response: Hi Don, We can pick between the 20th and 21st and deliver between the 23rd and 25th. We are fully insured and DOT compliant. We could do for 1300. The reason is it is a fairly heavy boat. Response: Thanks for your response. I just posted this bid, your price is within range. I've never shipped a boat before and have a concern that the shipper may have mechanical issues with truck, etc. beyond their control. Where is your company coming from? Thanks. (7/14/2009)

Response: I live in South Florida. I service my truck VERY regularly. Flat tires happpen but they don't slow you down too much. I have more than one truck on the east coast. If one were to have an issue another would be available. (7/14/2009)

Response: I would like to sea trial the boat before it leaves, would you be able to pull the boat out of the water with your trailer? I am waiting for a firm answer from the mechanic as to completion date. I believe the timeline I gave you is still correct. Thanks (7/15/2009)

Response: I could get it out of the water with my trailer. Your ad says you have a trailer though. To avoid any confusion would you tell me if you have a trailer or if you need to the shipper to have one. If you need the shipper to have one will it be dropped in the water in Virginia or offloaded at a marina? thanks. (7/15/2009)

Response: I apologize, I must have hit the wrong button. I do not have a trailer. I will require one, looks like it will be offloaded at a marina in Virginia. I have a meeting with the mechanic tomorrow to push him on his time line, so we can make ours. Question: Hello Shipper...We can easily work within your time frame for pick-up and deliver! Is the trailer road worthy? (bearings re-packed, spare tire in good shape, lights in good working order) Please look at our profile and read our customer feedback. We are legally compliant with Insurance, DOT & MC #'s so don't risk having your boat confiscated during its transport by using an illegal carrier. Question: There is a pretty big price difference between you having your own trailer or having a shipper provide one... please let us know. we can provide a trailer designed to hold 28' to 32' searay boats. check out my feed back. you will like what you see. (7/15/2009)

Question: What year is your Sundancer? According to SeaRay. the beam (width) is either 9'5", or 10'6", depending on the year. This makes it a "WIDE LOAD", and permits are required for each state. (7/20/2009)

Question: 8'-6" Seems pretty narrow for a 280 Sundancer, are you sure about the width??? Please note, that with these low bid amounts there is no way they are paying for permits which are required by law if your boat exceeds 8'-6" in width. Please either provide the year for us or verify the correct width. You do not want to get your boat impounded by the DOT because the carrier that was the "cheapest" did not obtain the correct permits. Again, please provide a year for your Sundancer and that would allow for an accurate "true" quote. Thanks (7/27/2009)
