Questions for this shipment:

Question: Well, I guess that I am the only one crazy enough to consider doing this. :) When will you be making a decision? (I will need more prep/plan time than normal for a trip of this length...) (7/21/2006)
Response: Do you have the necessary insurance to get this done? We are ready to accept the bid as long as you have the proper coverage. (7/21/2006)
Question: Is your trailer totaly road worthy, tires, wheel bearings 100 % ok. Spare tires. Value of your boat for ins. (7/21/2006)
Response: Trailer is totally road worthy and 100% ok. Triple axle trailer. No spare tires as of right now. Value of Boat is $80,000 w/trailer. (7/21/2006)
Question: Is this on a 3 axle trailer with a 2 5/16 ball ? (7/21/2006)
Response: Yes. (7/21/2006)
Question: Yes - what is the earliest date that the boat will be ready for pickup? The latest date acceptable for delivery? (7/23/2006)
Response: The boat is ready now for pickup. Delivery should be a few weeks after or sooner. (7/23/2006)
Question: Once the boat is picked up - it is a direct point-to-point delivery with no transfers or waiting. I would prefer to get started this week as I currently have the window of time available, and may not as other UShip deals close and reserve their dates in August. It only gets busier and busier from here to the end of season. Let me know - ready when you are! (7/24/2006)
Response: Let me make a few calls to the marina where the boat is and we'll let you know. Soon. That would be great. (7/24/2006)
Question: I pulled a boat from Vegas to Big Pine Key Fl. ( 30 miles from Key West )I think I could handle this. (7/24/2006)
Response: How much would you charge and when could you do it? (7/24/2006)
Question: Did you just purchase your boat from a private party or a dealer ? The reason I ask is on two boats I pulled the seller painted the tires with tire black to make them look new. Boat to Fl. two blowouts. Had new tires put on in NM. Boat to Tx. owner had me put new tires on & a new spare & wheel . seller said he had a spare but did not. (7/24/2006)
Response: No, we have had this boat since we bought it new in 2002 from the dealer. We have never done anything to the tires and haven't had any problems. We haven't needed a spare so we never bought one. We could maybe find one for the trip. The tires are in good condition. (7/24/2006)
Question: I probably could not get your boat to you as soon as you would like. FYI You are probably aware of this allready but I just spoke to a person in Canada & who ever does this they will need proof of ownership & a letter of authorization for the transporter to transport your boat. I would have them notarized. Ron (7/24/2006)
Response: Thanks for the information. We have traveled through Canada recently. When could you get it here? Within the next few months? (7/24/2006)
Question: Yes. i thought you needed it right know. I will be totally honest with you. I have never driver to AK. so I am not familiar with the condition of the highway but I was a professional truck driver for about 45 yrs on all kinds on highways. I also travel with GPS, Cell & internet. Ron (7/24/2006)
Response: AK highway is much better than it use to be.Summermonths you have road repair/construction and tourists/RV's. We drove up in April and ran into snow and ice. We were trying to sell the boat but now want it up with us. The AK highway isn't bad before the snow and ice months.(that from a non-truck diver) (7/24/2006)
Question: When I was driving a commercial truck ( 18 wheeler ) it was somewhat different than pulling a boat or travel trailer as we had chains for the second trailer as required by law. I pulled a travel trailer from Or. in the winter , no ice but snow. boat thru NM & lots of Black Ice. Will not do that again. When is the best time ? I don't care how good you are I don't want to pull a boat when there is a possibilty of ice. Ron (7/24/2006)
Response: Exactly. We wouldn't want you to pull it with the possibility of snow or ice. We would have to do some checking but I'm pretty sure if it was done before October, we'd be safe. (7/24/2006)
Question: September would work great for me. The only thing is I was to bid right now I will have to pay the 7.9 % to uship. I really don't know what you are comfortable with for cost. Your boat WILL be covered 100 % no deductable. (7/24/2006)
Question: FYI. If I was to pull your boat I will purchase a Air Ride Bumper Pull Hitch. It is rated @ 15,000 lbs. I would not trust the standard 10,000 lb hitch for the size of your boat. Also I will have my welding fabricator build a frame for a full width flap to attach behind wheels to avoid any rock damage as best that I can. (7/24/2006)
Question: Yes - will connect you directly with my insurance agent, she will provide you with a copy of my cargo insurance binder. Glad to hear you are ready to go! (7/24/2006)
Question: September for less (7/24/2006)
Response: How much less? and early September? (7/24/2006)
Question: I am commited to pull a Airstream Trailer from Wa. to N. Cal. on Sept 7th. Probably too long for you to wait & I do understand. It would have to be after that. $ 7000,00 (7/25/2006)
Response: That is a little too late thanks for your time. (7/25/2006)
