Questions for this shipment:

Question: Can this be picked up any sooner? Please take a look at our profile. Thanks (10/28/2009)
Response: 11-07-09 would be the earliest. Hope this helps. I read your feedback and you company comes highly rated which is great. I hope we can work together. Sincerely, Jeff Mariani [phone number removed] (10/28/2009)
Response: Thanks for the response Jeff, I was hoping it could of been done sooner, but in any case I am trying to route out there during that time. I should know by tomorrow and will get back to you. By the way it is against Uship rules to give contact info before accepting a bid. Ron (10/28/2009)
Response: It can be done sooner. What day would you like to pick it up? Thank you (10/28/2009)
Response: Sometime between this Fri and Mon. (10/28/2009)
Response: I think I could make it happen by Monday. I forgot something on my last response. I will arrange for the boat to be lifted off your trailer when you arrive in California. That way the trailer will never be in the water. Hope this helps. Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: Okay, I guess that takes care of everything but the price. Did you have a range in mind. Normally we are at 2.50 a mile for wide loads (10/28/2009)
Response: I was hoping to get it done for half that. Do you have any wiggle room as I would really like to use your company. Thanks again for the work you have put towards this for me. I really appreciate it. Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: Sorry Jeff, I had to step out for awhile. I know it seems high but in realty wide loads usally would run 3.00 a mile. I could do it for 5200. That includes wide load permits for every state. We will also be restricted to day time only in New Mexice and Az. and hopefully no detour routes. If it was over 10' then in just about every road construction you would have to go out of route to get around the construction. Again sorry for the delay in response. Ron (10/28/2009)
Response: Ron, Thank you for the response. Thanks again for putting so much time towards assisting me with this shipping quote. Is there any chance you could do it for 4200? I'm sorry for asking but the price is higher than I thought and my budget has been blown out of the water. Ha. Let me know if you might be able to help. Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: I have been looking for a nice three axle alum bumper pull trailer rated for 15,000 lbs. If I can find one in Fl for that price I would do it. They only weigh about 2,000lbs compared to our gooseneck at 8,000 lbs. Have you come across any? (10/28/2009)
Response: There was a place in Apollo Fl. that my friend had found a couple of days ago that had an alum trailer for sale brand new for 4000. I think the capacity was 10,000lbs not 15,000 though. I will talk with my friend and see if he remembers the name of the trailer company we looked at in Apollo Fl. and I will get back with you. Thanks again Ron! Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: I see your back on. I think I found the trailer you were talking about. Thats a little to small. I saw one I am going to call on tomorrow although it looks like you have a good bid now from a qualified transprter. (10/28/2009)
Question: What year is this boat? That height and width takes permits which add a considerable amount to the moving cost. (10/28/2009)
Response: The year of the boat is 1991. The owner has taken a measurement for me. From the top of the tower to the water line is 11'. Maybe this helps a little. Thank you (10/28/2009)
Question: Another important question I forgot. Is this on dry dock? We can water load but we will not do it in salt water or unload. (10/28/2009)
Response: Ron, The boat is in the water but I have already made arrangements for it to be hoisted out and set on your trailer. The marina is 1 mile away from the boat is being stored. Does this help I hope? Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: Yes it does, do you a lift for unload also. Ron (10/28/2009)
Response: Ron, I'm sorry I forgot to answer that part. Yes I will arrange for the boat to be lifted off your trailer when you arrive in California. Thanks again for the quick responses. Jeff (10/28/2009)
Response: Jeff you have been great to work with. Let me know what you think, I am sure we can work something out. Ron (10/28/2009)
Response: Thanks again Ron (10/28/2009)
Response: Jeff, that trailer I called on today was picked up yesterday. I can do this for $4500, that is the best I can do. Hope we can do it for you. Let me know as soon as you can. Thanks Ron (10/29/2009)
Question: Greetings shipper, we have placed a bid for you to consider. Please take time to see pics of our equipment on our profile and read some of the feedbacks for more info on the work we do and level of service we provide. All of our customers are left 100% satisfied and have recommended us to yacth clubs we work for today. Looking forward to doing business with you. Thank you (10/28/2009)
Question: Jeff, forgot to tell you that Uship has some good info on here. Go to bottom of this page to catogories and click on boat transporter than scroll down to choosing a boat carrier. (10/29/2009)
Question: My trailer is 3inche higher than a low boy. If the boat has been transported in the past there will not be any concerns about the move this time. Thanks (10/29/2009)
Response: The previous owner did move it before on a trailer. I will be fying out from California to meet up at the boat. I am just trying to make sure there will be no issues. Height seems to be the only thing I am worried about. The owner measured from the highest point down to the water line and said he was at a little over 11'. Did the other whaler you hauled have a tower that did not fold down? Thanks again. (10/29/2009)
Response: If the boat is 11 from the water line, the boat has a 2ft draft which will total 13ft. On my trailer would be 14 mybe 14'1 -14'2 which will work just fine. (10/29/2009)
Response: Excellent! What time would you be available for pick up on 11-02-09? (10/29/2009)
Response: Anytime would be ok for me whatever is comfortable for you. Thank you lokking forward to it. Chris (10/29/2009)
Response: Thanks for everything so far Chris. This is a really big deal for me. I'm nervous and want to try and make this a fun thing but I'm stressed. The height is the only thing that is a concern. Thanks for being patient with all my questions. I have never shipped a boat before. Jeff (10/29/2009)
Question: Jeff I think I am going to have back out of this. I do not want to not be able to do this by being over heignt. It would not be good for either one of us. I am going to cancell my bid but keep a close eye on this in case I can find out that it will work. Thanks for all your time. If you have any questions please feel free to ask, I've enjoyed our conversations. Ron (10/29/2009)
Response: Thanks a lot Ron for all the help. I am nervous about the height as well and understand your position. You have been very kind. Thank you. Jeff (10/29/2009)
Question: Can the tuna tower be removed? (10/29/2009)
Response: No I don't think so. It is bolted and has wiring for electronics and also steering. It may be close huh. Let me know what you think. (10/29/2009)
Response: I will do some research to see if there are any bridges along the route that would be lower than 14. Even with a low boy the total height would be around 13'9 which is still over the 13'6 max heigh. I will do research with DOT to find out exactly. Will get back to you by tomorrow with an answer. Thanks (10/29/2009)
Response: Thanks a lot Chris. Let me know what you find out. I hope this can work for us. Jeff (10/29/2009)
Question: Worst case scenario the tuna tower would have to come down which will take no more than 2-4 hours of work. There are marinas that specialize in this and really do a great job of removing/installing towers. (10/29/2009)
Response: Ok I will research this as well. Thanks again for all the help. (10/29/2009)
Response: I called couple of places and the load can be done, however, it will be much more expensive to move it the way it is because it will require pilot cars the entire way. It will be much cheaper for you to remove the tower and install after delivery. Thank you (10/29/2009)
Response: I understand and am considering that. If the tower is down would you consider the haul again? Jeff (10/29/2009)
Question: If the tower is removed, yes ,I can do it. (10/29/2009)
Question: Good Morning: We are delivering a boat into FL later in the week and looking for a boat to return to CA with. My concern is the height of the tower. The tower can be removed, usually takes 1.5 to 2 hours to remove, wrap, secure for the trip. I don't do it myself I go to a boat dealer. Would like to transport your boat for you, would deduct the cost of the removal from my quote. Would removal of tower be alright with you? I am a legal transporter with insurance. Thank you. (10/30/2009)
Response: Hello, Thanks for looking at my shipment. Removing the tower may be an option. There is electronics, steering etc. up on top so not sure how wiring is ran. There may be a chance that I will be able to remove the electronics and steering wheel and that may give us clearance. Do you have a low boy style trailer you will be using? What day did you think you would be out in Florida and would want to pick it up as I will fly there to assist with the tower portion. If you were to deduct the tower removal would you also deduct tower re install or maybe a portion of it. Where did you think you would be with the quote? Thanks again Jeff (10/30/2009)
Response: Good Afternoon: Thank you for such a quick response. My thoughts are you should get an estimate of tower removal and wrap from the local Boston Whaler Dealer. Once the cost is known we can move forward on a reasonable quote for your transport. I will be leaving CA on Thursday and arrive FL on Wednesday. Weather in TX held me up on my most recent transport with heavy rain and high winds. I would be willing to keep you informed on a daily basis of my location. Look forward to your next comment on how to move forward on getting your Whaler home to you. (10/30/2009)
Response: Thank you also for the quick response. Let me do a little research and I will get back with you. Thanks. jeff (10/30/2009)
