Questions for this shipment:

Question: what are the exact measurments of the boat this will determine the container loading and then we will figure a price to get this shipped for you (12/6/2007)
Response: First off we are looking for in-container transport to ship overseas, so if not possible for you, stop reading here. Boat is between 8'2" wide and 25' long, with outboard motors and a trailer that is 35' long. The trailer is smaller than the boat and should fit into the container (internal width 7’8 33/64” with door openings 7’8 3/64”) as a rack for the boat when tilted slightly. Please reply if you can help - thanks! (12/6/2007)
Response: we have shipped overseas before in container, but in order for our ski boats that we have shipped to fit in the container we would have to turn the box over and roll the boat in then strap it to the container. we are more than willing to help you with this it is hard to get all the questions answered in short q&as back and forth. with that said have you thought of a company for shipping or would you want us to check on that cost as well. Thank you osborne inboard transport (12/6/2007)
Response: YEs would love if you could quote the whole thing- thanks a ton. Chad (12/7/2007)
Response: does it have to go into a container because that ups the cost quite a bit? (12/10/2007)
Response: Can you ship a boat to Italy without container? If you can handle the cradle and shrink wrap let me know - that would be great. Thx Chad (12/10/2007)
Response: it will cost about 8000.00 to have it boxed and shipped (12/10/2007)
Response: Can you ship to Italy without container? If you can handle the cradle and shrink wrap let me know - that would be great. Thx Chad (12/10/2007)
Response: you can do a roll on roll off and it would be cheaper i will check for you (12/10/2007)
Question: They dont let you put boats in containers at the Baltimore Port you have to have the container delivered to your location and you have 3hrs to load it. You have to take fenders off the trlr take the axle out or turn it sideways a little. If you put that thing on a cradle and shrink wrap it it would be way cheaper or leave it on the trlr shipped several to Italy no container. Thank You (12/10/2007)
Response: So you can ship to Italy without container? If you can handle the cradle and shrink wrap let me know - that would be great. Thx Chad (12/10/2007)
Response: I can shrink wrap it no problem but if your putting it in a container why bother. I shipped boats to Italy before I dropped them off on there own trlrs maybe they put it in a container. And i have cradles and i can deliver it to the port. Let me know what you want to do. You need dock reciepts? Do you have them yet? (12/11/2007)
Response: Very interested in how you might be able to help me - clearly I have something to learn on how to export a boat. Let me know what I need to do and how I might ship without a container if that is possible. I am at [email removed] Thanks, Chad (12/11/2007)
Response: Well i dont think you need a container like i said i have shipped several boats to Italy no container. Why cant the marina where its at shrinkwrap the boat? I can do it but seems easier to have them do it. I would be interested in buying the trlr if its in nice shape. But you need dock reciepts in order for anything to happen. I am pretty much booked for December But can do it in Jan. I have cradles for the boat no problem. So when you get dock reciepts in hand and no a cutoff date let me know. Worst case senario is you miss that cutoff date you get pushed back to the next ship. Thank You (12/11/2007)
Response: Yes definately can shrink wrap here. Not sure on Dock recepts or how to get them. January can be fine. Ideas on how to find boat transport to Italy from Baltimore without a container? Am tring to help the buyer. We could go with a big transport that "does it all" from Huron to Venice, but may be a better deal to set up port transport and overseas separately - appreciate any advice. Trailer is a nice triple axle - needs a tire or two and one light repaired, but is possible. If shipping without container, however, wouldnt the trailer make the best transport cradle? Thx Chad (12/11/2007)
Response: Well i would use the trlr to tow it to the port unload at the port onto a cradle are trlrs are not legal in Italy but i have my own triple axle trlr i was looking to buy a double axle trlr. You need a overseas shipping company. They may be able to tell you some shipping companys tell them you want to ship it on a cradle or a trlr whatever you want i take them there all the time on my trlr and unload onto my cradles. Thank You (12/11/2007)
Response: Also - where are you located? (12/11/2007)
Response: Buffalo NY about a 3.5 hour drive to you go that way all the time. Ok keep in touch when you have answers. Thank You (12/11/2007)
Question: At the port of baltimore you dont even have to shrink wrap it you just need all your paperwork ready for over seas transit and have somebody deliver it for you to the port of baltimore and your all set to go its 20 times cheaper than having it put in a container (12/10/2007)
Response: So you can ship to Italy without container? If you can handle the cradle and shrink wrap let me know - that would be great. Thx Chad (12/10/2007)
Question: if you would like this shipped as a roll on roll off we can help from start to finish. save some bucks compaired to contaner. we can pick up in ohi and you pick in italy thanks jeremy (12/10/2007)
Question: do you still need this done... please advise (12/12/2007)
Question: May I ask what your target price might be??? (12/13/2007)
Question: I recently delivered a mastercraaft boat to altmore for overseas shipping and I can find out monday wha otal cost will be to ship to Italy but I need to know port in Italy boat is going to. The mastercraft was not containerized, however it was shrink wrapped. Let me know If you want me to continue pursuing this info lease. Thx K. (12/15/2007)
Response: Yes - please persue and quate. Italian port is Genoa. Thx Chad (12/15/2007)
Response: I have spoken to an overseas shipping agent and depending on exact dimensions. the cost of the ocean shipping is in the neighborhood of 3000.00, Do you want more info? Thx K. (12/22/2007)
Response: Yes boat need to get from Huron to Genoa or Sedona Italy...Roll-on is best - wont fir in a container. Thx (12/22/2007)
Response: right now I have 2 ocean shippers that I deal with but we need to get some things sorted first. Is 5000.00 more than you have budgeted because prelimnary estimates are in that range. If that figure is too high then we are both wasting our time. I am unable to continue with this quote for services until I hear from you. Thx K. (12/22/2007)
Response: All my estimates below 5,000 right now, if not, thanks. Chad (12/22/2007)
Response: Very true but do you really belive that 900.00 will get your boat from Phio to Genoa Italy? I know the exact ocean shipping cost from Baltimore to Southampton England ( cheaper than Italy) and 900.00 is what some carriers charge to deliver Ohio TO Baltimore. Please make certain of the exact costs for each leg of this journey. It would be a tremendous shame to see you lose your boat because there are carriers here on this site that arent ethical and others who do not know what needs to be done. Thx K. (12/23/2007)
Response: I am looking for costs to deliver to Baltimore - I think I have oversears transport set up (12/23/2007)
Question: we can tow it to maryland if you can have it loaded into a container there for 500 need to know asap thanks....cttrans (12/20/2007)
Response: I think we are going to ditche the container and goto a roll-on. Need to make shipping arrangements first (12/20/2007)
Response: how long will that take i can pick this up tomorrow for 500 and take it to maryland thanks....cttrans (12/20/2007)
Response: Not tomorrow - after the 1st of the year - still arranging the boat I will be on. Will know more next week. are you insured? Baltimore is 400 miles. Thx Chad (12/21/2007)
Question: if you still need it moved to baltimore i can do it after the first of the year for 900.00 let me know and i wil place a bid thanks bob assitchief3 (12/24/2007)
Question: DO NYOU HAVE THIS BOOKED ON A SHIP NOW? WE HAVE A OVERSEAS AGENT THAT WORKS WITH US IF YOU NEED ONE. REMEMBER IF YOUR UNBIT SITS AT THE PORT LONGER THEN 30 DAYS BEFORE THE SAILING DATE THEY CHARGE STORAGE. I HAVE A TRUCK GOING TO NJ BY THE 3RD OF JAN. CAN MAKE A GOOD BID IF THAT WILL WORK FOR YOU. (12/26/2007)
Response: Found an export agent who is confirming boat ship date this week. Dont think they will be going by Jan 3rd - possibly a week or two after, and I believe port is Baltimore. Thanks, Chad (12/26/2007)
Question: so are you no longer going to need this moved?i can assure you your shipping agent will charge more than double your lowest bid for the same run (12/26/2007)
Response: Mark - I do need the boat moved huron to Baltimore sometime later in January, and am arranging overseas transport separately. place a bid if you can help. Thx Chad (12/27/2007)
Response: if you would like you can go ahead and accept now.when you get your confirmation for overseas shipping i can get it over to the port.i ship overseas all the time so i go to the port on a weekly bases (12/28/2007)
