Additional Information: I need a 2002 Checkmate, picked up from texas and shipped 1/2 way to Rochester Ny.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Shipper: I'm interested in transporting your boat, however I would need a little more information before I could bid. Please allow me a few questions. I assume from your listing the boat is on a trailer. Is the trailer roadworthy and currently registered? If not, can you provide a temporary transport tag? Do you prefer to have it towed on its trailer (less expensive) or loaded on to a flatbed and hauled? Can you provide the overall length of the entire rig (trailer coupler to back of prop)? Another assumption is that I would pick up in Austin Texas and deliver to Springfield Missouri. Is that correct? I'm a small legal transporter based in Southeast Missouri and I'll be pleased to work with you on price and dates. Response: I have it on a trailer already and it is getting a temporary license plate from the dealer. Altogether it is 30 feet long. I was wondering what would it cost me for you to ship it all the way to Rochester NY? Thanks (3/31/2006)

Question: I was about to bid, but did some checking on that 25' checkmate. It weighs considerably more than 2000lbs. More like 4000, maybe more if you (and you should) consider the trailer. 5000 would be a much better guess. I just thought I'd let you know so someone...like me, doesn't make a mistake and bid on something that is too big for their trucks....Hammer (3/31/2006)

Question: Shipper: Your boat is a little too long to transport on my flatbed gooseneck trailer and the enclosed is booked for several weeks. It would really be tight in the enclosed also. At this time the only thing I can offer is to tow it on its trailer. That means that I would need to charge for both loaded and unloaded miles since there is a very remote possibility to have a load on the return trip. I cringe to tell you that Austin to Rochester on your trailer would be $2446.50. Admittedly not particularly attractive or at least it wouldn’t be to me. I can run down and pick it up in Austin and bring it back to Springfield for about $775. I wish I could offer you a better deal but that is about the best I can do. Question: Hi Mark. I havew DOT operating authority with commercial and cargo insurances. I can do this towing the trailer either to Springfield for $650 or to Rochester, NY for $1650. Question: Hello I am willing to take your boat all the to NY for you. i love the scenery and will be in Austin probably in May or so...tho that is flexible. I can get a temp tag for it for you if it is a problem that will last 15 days for transport purposes only. I can do the trip for actual costs plus 15%. Example if it costs me $100. you pay $115. by the way I am not a business though I am insured up to 100,000 and have a newer 1 ton dually to pull it with.I hope you enjoy the new boat and God Bless.
