Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Is the width and weight correct? (8/24/2009)
Response:
Yes within a foot and 150 lbs.. (8/24/2009)
Response:
The only hold up for me would be the width. Anything over 8'6" requires permits. If you can measure and verify the width is 8'6" i will bid. Thanks. (8/24/2009)
Response:
I will check and measure exactly... I am pretty sure it is smaller than that.. (8/24/2009)
Response:
Ok thanks (8/24/2009)
Response:
The Width of the boat is Exactly 8 ft at widest point with trailer. (8/25/2009)
Response:
Ok, thanks (8/25/2009)
Question:
What pickup and delivery dates and times are you wanting? (8/24/2009)
Response:
The only thing I need is for the boat to be delivered in VA by the 15th of Sept.. The boat should be ready for pick up by the 10th 11th or 12th.. (8/24/2009)
Question:
we will be heading north on the 11th of sept and could tow it up for $725. please check out our profile and customer feedback and let us know if we may be of service. (8/24/2009)
Response:
Your reply is appreciated.. I will consider it .. let me make sure it will be done by the 11th.. Thanks for getting back with me.. (8/24/2009)
Response:
thank you for your quick reply. (8/24/2009)
Response:
Your welcome (8/25/2009)
Question:
Great boat! (I have a 29, twin 200 rice burners). Buck a mile, you handle the costs of the permits. Capt(USCG)Dale (8/24/2009)
Response:
What kind of permits will be needed? I am unsure about towing out of the state of fla.. (8/24/2009)
Response:
Steven, I'm pretty sure that beam is a "no permit" beam. If your ready to make a deal, my buck a mile is my word. Capt Dale (Let me know and I'll bid, you accept-then we can discuss further!) (8/24/2009)
Response:
The Width of the boat is Exactly 8 ft at widest point with trailer. (8/25/2009)
Response:
STEVEN, THOUGHT SO! WANT ME TO REBID? (8/25/2009)
Response:
Sure.... (8/25/2009)
Response:
Capt, OK, there is is, and is good until 1800 hours tonight for scheduling purposes. (8/26/2009)
Question:
Cap'n, Yellowfin sez the beam is 8-8, but I feel sure it is 8-6. Two inches over minimum permit width makes no sense. I'll standby my bid, which is good for 24 hours. Capt Dale (8/24/2009)
Response:
The Width of the boat is Exactly 8 ft at widest point with trailer. (8/25/2009)
Question:
Hi, Please check my profile and feedback. I can transport your Yellowfin if the width is a max of 8'6" anything over that requires permits. I can meet your dates on pick up and delivery. $975 door to door. Let me know and I will place a bid. Thanks, Gary B (8/24/2009)
Response:
The Width of the boat is Exactly 8 ft at widest point with trailer. (8/25/2009)
Response:
Hi, This is Gary B. Thanks for the reply on the width. I will place a bid. Gary B (8/25/2009)
Question:
Capt Steven, your profile sez you are in Key West. Are you a USCG Captain, and are you a broker? (8/24/2009)
Response:
Yes I am a Captain, No I am not a broker I do live in Key West The Boat will be in Sarasota to be picked up. (8/25/2009)
Question:
I ask, because Yellowfin doesn't make a 23 ft'r with a beam wider than 8-6. I'm cancelling my bid, until this shipment is clarified. Doesn't seem "kosher"! (8/24/2009)
Response:
Ok, I understand.. I was adding the extra little width for the trailer as it may be a bit wider than the boat.. (8/24/2009)
Response:
Boat trailers are manufactured to meet federal standards. Eight feet, 6 inches wide is the maximum width. Anything wider than that is considered a "wide load", and most states charge a surcharge for the extra width. I'm confused as to why your profile says you are in Key West, yet pickup and delivery destinations are otherwise. When I feel good about this "load" I will rebid with no extra charge for the education. Tks. Good Luck. Capt(USCG)Dale (8/24/2009)
Response:
Dale, I own the boat, I am trailering the boat to Sarasota tonight. Yellowfin is reconditioning the boat for my resale to a guy in VA. I need someone dependable to haul it to VA and deliver to my buyer... Pretty easy... (8/25/2009)
Response:
STEVEN, GOTCHA! LET ME RECHECK OUR SCHEDULE. WHAT'S THE LATEST DATE WE CAN DELIVER? DALE (8/25/2009)
Response:
Latest date... It has to be in his hands no later than Sept 15th.. (8/25/2009)
Response:
STEVEN, OK. WE GUARANTEE IT! CAPT DALE (8/26/2009)
Question:
Further, if you "plumbed" the beam of an 8-6 wide load with the oustide of the trailer fender, you will find it to be exactly 8-6. (8/24/2009)
Response:
The Width of the boat is Exactly 8 ft at widest point with trailer. (8/25/2009)
Response:
STEVEN, WHO'S PAYING FOR THE SHIPMENT? DALE (8/25/2009)
Response:
I will be paying for it.. (8/25/2009)
Response:
Either Glenn or I will handle it for you. (He's my son). Dale (8/25/2009)
Response:
Are you able to bid again on my shipping? I am able to make a choice now and your company seemed to be best.. (9/2/2009)
Response:
CAP'N, PROBABLY, BUT WITH THIS DELAY WHAT KIND OF DEL DATE ARE WE FACING? DALE (9/2/2009)
Question:
Hey Capt! I'll do this for you on the 13th for $900. Please check my feedback! I've been a "Service Provider" since uShip began! (2004) Thanks! Glenn (8/25/2009)
Response:
Thanks for your feed back info.. This will be important to me when I decide.. I will look at it.. (8/25/2009)
Response:
Hey Capt.! If you'll insure the boat I will get it delivered for you on the 15th for $650! Thanks! Glenn (8/31/2009)
Response:
Yes, the boat will be insured... I would like to know that you are insured as a hauler though.. (9/3/2009)
Question:
Shipper, you understand the importance of investigating the background/reliability/reputation/feedback of any potential provider as uship strongly encourages. You do so by clicking on the number in paren, next to the providers name---->(41) or (1). (8/26/2009)
Response:
Thank you (8/27/2009)
Response:
OK, Steve, 3P is fine. Tks! Dale (8/27/2009)
Question:
Steven, picked up a motorcycle going to VA, so I can reduce my bid a little. We do need to know asap, to get you scheduled! I can make this bid good until 5 PM, est, today. Tks, Dale (8/27/2009)
Question:
Good morning. I expect to complete my current Florida bound run next Thursday(9/3) and am now scheduling pickups for my return run nouth, with final nouth bound deliveries expected within 8 days(depending, of course, on how quickly I can fill a load). If this time frame could meet your needs on this, and the trailer is fully roadworthy, including current tags, I can get this delivered for you for 750, paid at pick up via PayPal(preferred). If you would be so considerate, please let me know either way as soon as possible, so I can know whether to persue this further, or focus my efforts elsewhere. Thanks, Howard. Please review my profile and feedback, as you should do with any bidder you may consider-it really does tell the history of the provider. Also. please note that I have NOT YET submitted the formal bid, but will await your reply before doing so. Again, Thank You (8/27/2009)
Question:
Hi, We can transport the week of 9-7. Will this time frame work for you? Please check out our feedback and see what others say about our service. Thank You ! Greg (8/27/2009)

Response:
It may be possible... Monday of next week at soonest.. More likely tuesday... (9/3/2009)
Question:
STEVEN, P/U NLT SEP 15 - DEL NLT SEP 17. GOING TO BID. PLS ACCEPT IMMEDIATELY. LET'S "GET R DONE"? CAPT DALE = HERE'S MY BID! THEN, WE'LL DISCUSS LOGISTICS OVER THE PHONE. YOU SURE YELLOWFIN'S GONNA HAVE ER READY? (9/2/2009)
Response:
Yellowfin has her ready... she will be able to go out next week as scheduled.. (9/3/2009)
Response:
Does this mean you will accept our bid IMMEDIATELY, if we make such? (9/3/2009)
Question:
Hi Steven, This is Gary B. I did a re-bid, can you shoot me a email back quick and let me know if there is any interest. Thanks very much, Gary B (9/2/2009)
Response:
Yes a rebid would be great... thanks.. (9/3/2009)
Question:
Steven, this is the third time you've said this, and we've held off other "hauls" to accomodate you, only because of Capt to Capt loyalty. I'll place a reasonable bid for 30 minutes, if you don't accept the bid in that time period, WE'RE OUT OF HERE! [content removed, unrelated to services offered] (9/3/2009)
Question:
BID IS GOOD UNTIL 945P, THURSDAY, SEP 3, 2009. AFTER THAT, WE WITHDRAW ALL FURTHER INTEREST. (9/3/2009)
Question:
Seems like your havin a hard time from some service providers, I can do this for you for $950, check our profile (9/3/2009)

Also I have to have this job done I cant have a snafu.. the boat should be ready in Sarasota by monday or tues at latest.. I will have the boat insured by the new owner before you depart on delivery.. Can you accept credit card? (9/3/2009)
Response:

Response:
Kewl i will look for your bid (9/3/2009)
Response:
OK set the ball in motion with Uship for you, how are we looking on that shipment. (9/4/2009)
Question:
[content removed] (9/3/2009)
Question:
Well, I see RobertsonTransport is on line. Maybe he'll bid. He's a good kid. I taught him all he knows about hauling boats years ago. I'm out of here! (9/3/2009)
Response:
I am confused.. did you just bit for like an hour? Who is robertson transport? why did you withdraw your bid.. I was reading your company over.. (9/3/2009)
Response:
STEVEN. i GAVE YOU UNTIL 945 TO ACCEPT MY BID, THEN i'M GOING TO BED. YOU DIDN'T RESPOND IN TIME, SO I CANCELLED MY BID. REMEMBER, WE'VE BEEN THRU THIS THREE TIMES. I'M TRYING TO SCHEDULE "HAULS". NOW, ARE YOU READY TO ACCEPT? I MEAN WITHIN THE NEXT TEN MINUTES? (9/3/2009)
Response:
Hey Man,,, Go to bed...We will not be doing business... I will drive it there myself versus giving business to a guy who talks to potential clients like you do.. (9/3/2009)
Question:
CANCELLING MY BID AT 1000PM, THEN THAT'S IT. (9/3/2009)
Response:
Cancell your bid.. I just got it and also the other very rude message.. I will drive it there myself for not having to deal with a person like you.. (9/3/2009)
Response:
[Profanity removed - profane comments and comments that are unrelated to shipment services are not permitted per uShip guidelines] (9/3/2009)
Response:
That was creative.. Tasteful and Very professional.. Thanks for sharing with me your true self and make me feel even better about my choice not to go with your company.. Till your last message I was not going to make a mention to USHIP about your conduct.. But I think they will enjoy this one.. Have a great night.. (9/3/2009)
Response:
STEVIE, I'm confused? What are you talking about? (9/3/2009)
Question:
do you still require transport?maritimed (9/3/2009)
Response:
yes, I made a choice then the guy went totally nuts.. thank god i did not accept his bid You said maritime... This boat is on trailer (9/3/2009)
Question:
Capt Steve we have more feedback than most all of these shippers added together and will certainly be contacting Uship management with regard to the insults that have been thrown your way. (9/3/2009)
Question:
Sorry Capt my bad, we will tow your trailer after checking bearings and tires, it will be towed with a Chevy Duramax diesel (9/4/2009)
Response:
Sounds great..Same truck I have.. I towed this package from Key West to Sarasota last week Before I left I lifted the trailer and rolled the rims to listen for a bad bearing.. They all sounded good.. Also at the end of Aligator ally I checked for heat.. No issues.. the tires are less than 2 years old and well maintained. with less than 1000 miles on them total. Brakes are stainless disc (front only).. twin axyl trailer.. Hope that helps.. I am going to accept your bid in hopes that you can do the job. The boat should be ready for pickup next week if that is ok.. Also the owner (your delivery) will have the boat fully insured. FYI.. it will need a strap for the rear tie down. (9/4/2009)
