Questions for this shipment:

Question: Sir-you will need to measure the width of boat accurately--it is essential that it is 8 ft or under othewise permits and escorts may be needed-- (12/7/2006)
Response: Sir, I thank you for answering promptly and apologize for my delay. The beam is listed as eight feet. In so far as its actual dstination of Chapples, South Carolina. Having it anywhere near there (Greenwood/ Columbia) would make life much easier. The boat belongs to a friend who owns a home on Lake Greenwood, he will not have the means of towing it down in April and I do, but have no desire to tow it that far as part of the vacation. He recently purchased it and the trailer has a Warning label with a recommeded maximum speed of 45 mph. I can only safely assume that pushing my luck and going 65 or so for that distance (from Connecticut) would leave some severely damaged bearings- if any. (12/10/2006)
Question: most trailers carry that warning-it is lawyerer covering all bases--if the trailer has good bearings-which is simple to ascertain and tire are good it has been my experience that 60 miles per hour is fine-you need of course to examine all the factors--apart from bearings -tires-brakes are always a concern-my advice would be to have the trailer serviced by a trailer place-you will not have to remove the hull from the trailer-if bearings need to be replaced it is simple enough-I have over 30 yrs experience in this as my feedback here will indicate (12/10/2006)
