Additional Information: Hi, we have a 24' boat on a tandem axle trailer sitting near Exit 85 on Interstate 94 between Kalamazoo & Battle Creek, Michigan that we need brought to Madison, Wisconsin. We are flexible on when you bring it and particularly when you need to drop it off, we're here 24/7 and don't mind if you need to drop it off at 3:00 am to continue on in your journey to make a living. This is a project boat that is not worth much money, so we don't worry about insurance, etc., only asking that you exercise reasonable care in bringing it over for us, the trailer is worth more to us than is the boat. Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello shipper please click on my name and read my feedback..I live about 1/2 from BC.. I can do this move in the next two weeks for 1500.00...THe reason of the higer price is cause of the construction in IL..You are always sitting for about 2 hours each way.. Thanks Dale (8/27/2006)
Response: Dale, with all due respect, you sure value your two hours of sitting time rather highly. . . I normally retain respect for everyone attempting to earn their living over the road, but geeze, $1,500 strikes me as just a little bit over the top for being an excessive rate of return for driving the approximate 350 miles. just my opinion, but I do anticipate that someone else will bid this opportunity a little more down to earth as to what U-ship is all about. thank your for your interest, but obviously we cannot afford your premium services. Greg (8/27/2006)
Question: Dear Sir, please let me know asap if I could pick it up tomorrow morning. Which would be the 28th. Thanks. I could do it for 1300 (8/27/2006)
Response: Thank you for your interest, but we are anticipating receiving a much lower bid for this to become a successful transaction. Greg (8/27/2006)
Question: Sorry Sir this is C-Mar again I beleive I could do it for 900dollars (8/27/2006)
Response: Thank you but we believe we will receive a much lower bid with time. Greg (8/27/2006)
Question: Sir this is C-mar and yes I could pick it up tomorow for 1200dollars. Thanks C-Mar. (8/27/2006)
Response: No thank you - see other bidders (8/27/2006)
Question: I am going wed. to rockford il.from mi. i can pick up on wed. ican do for 500.00 thank's (8/27/2006)
Response: Hi, you are a realist that we believe could be worth doing business with. I will have the boat released and ready for transport either late Tuesday afternoon or early Wednesday morning, your bid will remain of keen interest to us and I will attempt to confirm our acceptance the moment we have release on the load unless someone else underbids you. I really thank you for your kindness in considering providing us with your assistance, will be back to you soon. Greg Griswold (8/27/2006)
Question: Dear Sir ths is C-Mar and I would like to know asap if you would like the boat hauled tomorrow morning for 1200 dollars please let me know as soon as possible!! Thanks C-Mar!!!! (8/27/2006)
Response: No thank you, see other bids (8/27/2006)
Question: Hello shipper, OK now that you have declined 2 bids one very low compared to what is normally paid to ship a boat this size , weight and distance. Let me ask you what would you like to pay to move this? Ill see if there is any way we can agreee on a price . thank You (8/27/2006)
Response: Hi, damn but you sure put it front and center with your dead honest and most fair question! As I had written in an answer to another question from someone offering to transport it for $500, his price is more than reasonable, and we will probably accept it baring receipt of anything lower. What you had offered was an honest price for someone attempting to earn their living from this but U-ship has connected us with others who were willing to bring us our boats for less money than we could afford to drive it ourself, believe that they are just offsetting their gas & tolls. We greatly respect that any bid less than $1.00 per mile one way is more than fair - after that it is only a matter of rewarding the most competitive bidder for their willingness to assist at a price below that that anyone else would consider doing it for. Thank you very much for your kind interest, I really do appreciate your professional attitude and credible question, look forward to when our paths cross. (8/27/2006)
Question: Hello shipper , I do respect your opinion and thoughts on what its worth to you. But one thing you forgot to include in this thesis is the fact that anyone involved in this move will have some empty miles on front end and on the back end of your shipment which are only paid for by the driver. Gas is real pricy now and so are the tolls in IL. Especially with 4 or more axels. If youare prepared to accept tonight yet i willplace a bid for your target amount of 500$ with high hopes of doing more business in the near future with you. Lucky for you I just got another shipment comming your way with only a few empty miles. Just let me know your thoughts. thank You (8/27/2006)
Response: Hi, suggest a route involving coming through on I-94 through Chicago, then taking Hwy 41 up to the Wisconsin state line, resume on I-94 to Hwy. 50 in Kenosha, then come over west on Hwy 50 to Hwy. 12 west to madison, that way is much quicker and avoids all tolls, as well as some really nasty traffic. just a suggestion. Won't have load cleared for transport until Wednesday, to we're looking at all bids that come in at least up to and including Tuesday before deciding, thanks Greg Griswold (8/28/2006)
Question: I do like the staight and to the point no bs attitude. I very well might have a load comming your way i might trailer your boat. This way i can book a back haul, i could do for your target price give me till tommrow to confirn a load. Thank you. By the way i do have MC# DOT# and insurance, (8/27/2006)
Response: Just for your planning purposes, I won't have this cleared and ready for transport until Wednesday morning, waiting for the credit cards to cycle so we are able to pay for both the boat as well as the transport, thanks Greg (8/28/2006)
Question: greg i can get it done for 500 and get wed morn and del late wed nite, can pay cash on del end, check my feedbacks, i just del a boat in milw, and 1 befor in cleveland oh, so ill bid and if you accept then you can call me, i will wait to hear from you, thanks, mike (8/28/2006)
Response: Hi, forgive my ignorance, but I believe to accept your bid, you have to formally enter it differently than just asking us a question. Please enter your bid and we will give it strong consideration, thanks Greg Griswold (8/28/2006)
Question: IF THE TRAILER IS READY TO TOW. WE CAN MOVE IT FOR 400.00. [website removed] (8/28/2006)
Response: Hi, I will be able to confirm positively tomorrow after speaking directly with the seller. From all that I have been told thus far, as well as judging from the pictures provided prior to the sale, it should be able to hook up and go without further trouble, but yours is a very fair question that warrants my best efforts to provide you with an exactly accurate answer. Please keep the faith, I really do appreciate your most competitive bid. Greg Griswold (8/28/2006)
Question: greg i did place a bid of 500.00, check your bids, thanks, mike (8/28/2006)
Response: Hi, so sorry that I missed it. Not to become a total flake, how much time do we have to accept your kind offer? We have another customer who is considering purchasing a boat from us here in Madison that would need to be delivered to Traverse City, MI, which would make for a perfect round trip thereafter bringing this boat back. Or, alternatively, you could bring us this boat and then take the other one back to Michigan. We hope to have this other deal finalized or end for lack of the customer's continuing interest no later than Monday. Will your interest to haul this continue until then? I really do appreciate your consideration. Greg Griswold (8/30/2006)
Question: greg, do you want this boat moved wed, please let me know, thanks, mike (8/29/2006)
Response: Hi, please see other posted answers. thanks (8/30/2006)
Question: now all of a sudden no one is getting any answers, since the co above put their web site on here and he can call them and let all of us get blowed off. by the way greg,, horizon is 1 of the worst companies you can get in volved with,,, (8/30/2006)
Response: Hi, don't quite know how to respond here, but please see other answers, thanks Greg (9/3/2006)
Question: greg, if you can have finalized by mon that will be ok, i possibly can do the return as well it may be a little more as traverse city is a little further, we can hopefully work it out, i just need to know for sure if your using me as im booking other runs as well. i do have to leave wed for orlando fla as i go there every week and haul a camper for the dealer. thanks, mike,, its better to accept the bid then you get my phone number to call, and if we cant work the dates out etc we can retract the bid and uship will keep it on the computerr... (8/30/2006)
Response: Hi, our opportunity for selling a boat to Traverse City fell through, so we're just dealing with getting this boat from there to here, so sorry. Greg (9/3/2006)
Question: do you still need this done?? ALSO, what is the deal on the return boat?? I might be able to help you out. This is only about 400 miles . thanks Jay (9/2/2006)
Response: Hi, so sorry, our other opportunity fell through, just dealing with the single trip from there to here, thanks (9/3/2006)
Question: it would be nice if they would answer, or remove the listing, if it is shiped. (9/3/2006)
Response: Hi, yes you are quite correct, and we finally have, thanks Greg (9/3/2006)
Question: greg you already cancelled my bid as its too high, there still will be some tolls to go to you in wisc, and fight the traffic in chicago, what about the return trip it is 240 miles further to traverse city mich, need to know asap as im going to be leaving for fla, thanks, mike (9/3/2006)
Response: Mike, our other opportunity fell through, please see other answers, thanks (9/3/2006)
Question: if you still need this done, And you have a boat there that is for sure going back to Mi. I can do this WED. (6th)But i need both to make it worth leaving home without my trailor. Can do it for $475. for each one. thanks Jay (9/3/2006)
Response: Jay, so sorry, our other opportunity fell through so we just have this one boat needing to come back to Madison, thanks (9/3/2006)
Question: Hi Greg, You sent a reply to us saying your were going to go with us however our bid exprired with no action---do you still want us to do it at the price we bid it? We would appreciate a response so we can book something else as we had tied picking this up with a delivery we committed to the area of picking up your baot and trailer. Thanks. (9/3/2006)
Response: Hi, damn, you just can't get good help anymore. I screwed up and forgot to get your bid accepted, so sorry. Yes, I still have the load and would really appreciate it if you would rebid it so I can accept it and let us both get on with our lives and get the damn thing from over there to here, thanks for writing back, Greg Griswold (9/3/2006)
Question: greg i will bid 500.00, but if your going to use someone else i need to know, 450.00 is a little low for the driver with insurance costs etc, i cant tell my insurance co i dont need ins on this trip as it dont work that way, let me know.. mike (9/3/2006)
