Question: What is your time frane? How soon do you want to move your boat? (5/11/2009)

Response: Ideally before Memorial Day weekend. Thank you, --A (5/11/2009)

Response: Thanks for the reply. O.K., beforew Memorial Day weekend. Is the boat ready to go? Are the masts down? How soon can boat be moved? (5/11/2009)

Response: The masts are not down yet, but I'm sure I can get someone to un-rig it fairly quickly. I'd be amazed if I couldn't get the fellows at the fix-it place to do it before they take it out of the water. I don't have a firm idea of how long it would take, but I'd give them just less than a week. (5/11/2009)

Response: Thanks again. Let me see what I can work out for a schedule, on my end. (5/11/2009)

Question: I'm in San Antonio now getting work done to my trailer. It will take another week to ten days. (new axle). I can plan to load the week of the 25th, and get it down to Lake Austin before Memorial Day. You should try to make arrangements for the de-commissioning of the boat soon, so it will be ready to go, whether by me, or whoever does the job for you. I will bid, using my dates. (5/14/2009)

Question: Checking with my memory, the last time I was at Lake Ray Roberts four or five years ago, they DID NOT have any loading facilities on the lake. Are you sure they have loading equipment now, or are you hiring a crain? (5/14/2009)

Response: There's a crane at the "fix it" shop above a large dock. It's huge and does the trick quite well. Thanks! --A (5/15/2009)

Response: Thanks for the reply. A crane at Ray Roberts Lake, and I know there are lifting facilities at Lake Travis. Sounds good. All you needd to do now, is reach an agreement with a transporter. (5/15/2009)

Question: What's the story with your boat? Do you still need it shipped? Is it ready to be loaded yet? Can do late this week, or next week. You will have it before Memorial Day week-end. (5/17/2009)

Response: Ok, after much wrangling I've got some solid dates. The place the boat will be going can accept it between the 15th and the 19th of June. It will be ready and waiting at the place of origin in plenty of time. Still looking for bids. Thanks!! --Alice. (5/18/2009)

Response: Thanks for the reply, Alice. It dosen't sound like it will be before Memorial Day week-end now does it? Why so long of a wait? Thats over a month away! I can't bid right now, I don't know where I will be in a month. (5/18/2009)

Response: Yeah, I know it's a drag. Sorry 'bout that. But the leaving marina and the new marina are, neither one of them, ready to do the work until then. Bummer. Keep in touch! --Alice. (5/18/2009)

Response: Thanks again, Alice. I'll see what happens with my schedule. (5/18/2009)

Question: WERE BASED JUST OVER THE STATE LINE IN OKLA. I AM A COMMERCIAL BOAT TRANSPORTER AND STORAGE COMPANY. THOSE DATES ARE NO PROBLEM. BUT IT WE DO IT WITH OUR TRAILER, SINCE IT HAS TO STAY ON THE TRAILER A FEW DAYS i CAN PICK IT UP/ STORE IT AND THAN DELIVER FOR $1300 (5/21/2009)

Response: You've got yourself a deal. Please bid. (5/22/2009)

Response: well, I've been in the marine business since 1979. after reading your comments, I'm not sure weater to bid or not. (5/22/2009)

Question: Hi Alice. I see you are back on the computer. Has anything changed about your dates, or you just looking at your listing, and going to accept that other bid if it is posted? (5/22/2009)

Response: Hi! I thought you were going to check your dates and see what you could do. I'd be more willing to accept a bid from someone who's actually had customers through uShip. :) Yes, the pick up place and the drop off place both have limited dates, worse luck. The details are in the main listing. Let me know if you have any questions. On bid acceptance I'll give you the contact information for both places in case you need finer coordination with them. Thanks! --Alice. (5/22/2009)

Response: Again,Thanks for the reply. My problem is that I would like to do this for you, but I don't know where I will be when your boat is ready. I am in Texas now, and can do it now, or soon. But I am a boat transporter, and have some other bids out, and could get one of them before your boat is ready, and might have to leave the area, or even the state. So it wouldn't be fair to bid on your boat now, for a move 3 to 4 weeks away. But if I am still, or perhaps back, in the area then, then I can bid, if it is still available. (5/22/2009)

Response: Good plan. The only issue I have here is that my pick up people want to know exactly which day the boat will be picked up so they can take it out of the water that day... and they want to know by next week. *sigh* So let's play it by ear and we'll get this puppy moved one way or another. Thanks again! --Alice. (5/22/2009)

Response: Boy, they are making things difficult, with so much time between now, and delivery dates, which are still 3 1/2 weeks away. You have an offer of $1300 to load the boat, and keep it in storage until the marina is ready to accept the boat, right? O.K., I can make the same offer, and keep it on my trailer, with me, providing you accept my bid, before I get another bid accepted. As for the load date goes, what is the soonest the boat can be loaded? I will coordinate the load date with the marina, at their convience. (5/22/2009)

Response: Soonest they can load, last I heard, is week after next. They are Lake Ray Roberts Marina, Shop Phone: [phone number removed], Shop Fax: [phone number removed], Email: [email address removed]. My first mate's about 10 mintues away from there and can help you coordinate if the "service dudes" aren't helpful. Picking up, holding it, and shipping it sounds just ducky to me. I can't see any reason that would be a problem. Bid at will! :) --Alice
(5/22/2009)

Response: As you can see, the phone numbers were removed. We are not allowed to make personal contact until bid is accepted. I see you just accepted my bid, thank you. Now we can make contact! (5/22/2009)
