Question: Dear shipper. When considering bids please make sure whomever you choose has their DOT and MC numbers and both cargo and liability insurance. Liability alone will not cover your boat. Anyone who is not a DOT Motor Carrier is not legal and if they are in an accident or pulled over your shipment can be confiscated by DOT until you arrange for a DOT Motor Carrier to pick it up.
