Questions for this shipment:

Question: I need a tow for this week what price you had in mind Thanks walbert52 (11/10/2007)
Response: Thanks for your prompt response...this is an old boat with no engine and a long way from where I am now living...I can't justify more than 1000 to 1500 to get it down here and, yes I know what gas prices are. Hoping for a hauler having to run down here to pick up a boat from the offshore races with an empty hitch or cargo room...not much weight without an engine and a tandem trailer..and a four month time window ...no hurry..thanks...Bill (11/10/2007)
Response: If I tow it for 1600 dollars would you have it towed this coming I'm looking for a tow this week please let me know i'll pick up monday or tuesday thanks walbert52 (11/10/2007)
Question: based out of twin falls, idaho can haul boat for you, are wheel bearings in good shape for a trip that long, can check and grease or re-place for you, what price did you have in mind, dawstransport, also can work out a price to have tires replaced as well. let us know thank you. (11/10/2007)
Response: Thanks for your prompt response...Wheel bearings were done after last haulout but that was 2003....tires are actually guaranteed based on depth.(about 200 miles)... but the America's tire co. should replace if a problem occured on the run..boat is stored and my hope was to find a hauler, either flatbed or someone with an empty run down here for a pickup... a Thousand to 1500. is about all I can justify on a 1971 boat hull and trailer...I still have to put an engine in....I know about gas prices but I have no timetable, as noted in the 4 month window....Thanks for your intrest, please advise if this might fit your plans...Bill (11/10/2007)
Question: will be out in idaho next thur/fri. i will boat and trailer on my step deck and haul it back to fl for 1300.00 let me know thx im new to uship but i have 20 years hauling experience enough cargo ins. to more than cover your boat. check out my profile for my hauler pics and info thx ray (11/10/2007)
Response: What is a stepdeck.? Is that the gooseneck trailer in your description? I am interested in this due to the tires being questionable and the brake actuator on the trailer not functioning properly. Please advise. Thanks Bill (11/11/2007)
Response: Yes its a goose neck with a upper level also. and it sets about 28" off the ground for easier loading and unloading and is equipped with a winch. hopefully ill ba able to place my bid by tomorrow morning.still finalizing the trip out thx ray (11/11/2007)
Response: Hi Ray...Just a reminder that the height of the boat on the trailer is around 9 feet ground to top of windshield as I remember and possibly a little more. Not sure about the upper level clearance of your trailer. The boat is a 23 ft. but the traler is probably another 5 ft. to the ball. Your first memo mentioned 1300. as a price. Please make sure it will fit as you are in the final three bids I am considering. (11/11/2007)
Response: i have plenty of room. the upper deck is in the front of the trailer. i have 43' of unobstructive flat deck. im hoping to have my stuff lined up by tomorrow at noon and place a bid thx alot ray (11/11/2007)
Question: I WILL BE OUT IN UTAH THIS WEEKEND IF YOU LIKE I CAN TOW YOURS ON MONDAY FOR 1400 ? PLEASE LET ME KNOW, I'M NOT TRYING TO RUSH YOU THANKS WALBERT52 (11/13/2007)
Response: I have a few offers to flatbed my boat and trailer due to the questionable tires and brakes. Is this your offer or is towing your only option..? Thanks for your response,,,Bill (11/13/2007)
Response: YES I CAN TOW ONLY (11/13/2007)
Question: can you meet us in Jacksonville for 1000$ (11/13/2007)
Response: No. but not sure what you are talking about... (11/13/2007)
Response: if you meet us in Jacksonville, that would be our price. (11/13/2007)
Response: Thanks but I need a full trip to Key West...I have no truck to get it downstate...Thanks for your offer...Bill (11/13/2007)
Question: I can now bring it to you right after Thanksgiiving, pickup Tues. (11/13/2007)
Question: 1000.00 to tow your boat, free roadside assistance for any repairs that may come up. Let me know what you think. Paul (11/14/2007)
Question: I will be heading to Fl.Tues.,do you want this done now? My bid is about to expire,I can rebid if so. (11/15/2007)
Response: Hi Bob, My delay is my concern for the roadbility of my trailer. It has been sitting on the tires for almost three years in the same spot. Also I believe part of the ball coupler has been lost. I am in florida and not able to inspect or handle any needed maintenance prior to shipping. I am leaning towards a bid for flatbed shippment, although higher than yours. Your reputation feedback is quite satisfactory as is your price. I would not hesitate if you were using a flatbed. If your bid expires and I decide to just have it towed I will most definatly re-submit. Thanks for your very fair offer. Bill (11/15/2007)
Response: Thanks,I hauled two in like condition recently. One needed new valve stems ant the other which was brand new but hadn't been moved in 12 years needed new tires and bearings. These item were replaced at owners expense.I just hate to drive back to Clearwater at my expense. (11/16/2007)
Question: hello, i understand you have doubts about your boat trailer. i have boats and their trailers on my 40ft flatbed to make sure that your bearings don't burn up and your boat doesn't get hit by some nut driver not paying attention. my trailer is 39 inches off of the ground. better for your boat to be hauled and not pulled. can do for $1 per mile. my bid will be $3000. check out my pictues and you can see one of the many boats i have hauled on my trailer. 100% feedback, and preferred provider on uship. thanks, robert. (11/15/2007)
Question: Hi Bill, We read all of your concerns and requirements and based on that we will send a bid on our trailer since we have one going back from your destination to keep the cost down for you and offer you a great rate. make it a great day.. thanks Scott (11/16/2007)
Question: just a question. you are getting unbelievable offers. fuel alone is gong to cost 1000 to 1200. why havnen't you accepted any of those low bids. i would have to charge 1 per mile which is 3300. help me understand, and do you want me to make bid. check out feedback, profile, and pictures. thanks, robert. (11/18/2007)
Response: Hi Robert, Thanks for your bid and intrest. My hesitation is partly due to deciding if I want the boat and trailer just towed or flatbed shipped which is now my method of choice. I have towed cross country before and I am just aprehensive about a 36 year old trailer and tires that have been sitting for almost 4 years in the same spot. I have reviewed your feedback and equipment which is all quite acceptable. I do have a $1375. bid (although new to Uship as I am) for a flatbed shipment. I would encourage you to bid if you feel it is feasable to do so. I hope to accept an offer this week. Thanks again....Bill (11/19/2007)
Response: hello again. i have already placed a bid of 3000, but you have bids half that price and i will not compete with those people cut throating. i provider professionl experienced service in hauling boats and i don't see how they can make a 3000 mile trip for 1200 when fuel will cost bout that. if you are interested then i have placed a bid under rhendricks1988. i cn pick up asap and deliver asap. i can also check out the tires and bearings and make sure they are rod ready. if not, then i cn have new ones put on at your expense. i will not tow the boat if it is not safe. your equipment means more to me than that. i would fully inspect first. thnks, robert.
