Hey Robin I can pick up around the 7th and head to you is there any flexibility in the delivery dates?Report a Violation
Response: I will only be there to accept delivery between May 27 and 30 because I don't arrive until May 26 and will be leaving again May 31. So, I'll only be able to take delivery between those two dates.4/30/2014Report a Violation
Response: Ok if there is anyway it can go sooner let me know, I would love to move it for you. We are insured up to 250k so your boat is covered for the entire time it is hooked to our vehicle. We do pre during and post trip inspections and we take pictures to ensure that it gets to you the same way it left. We also ensure all loose items are secures so there is not loss or damage from loose items rolling around. 4/30/2014Report a Violation
Response: Thanks for the reply. We're still in Florida and before I get back to Wisconsin I have to make a side trip to Oregon. So, I don't see any way I can get there sooner than the 26th. By the way, what is your method of shipment ? Would the boat and trailer be shipped on a flat bed trailer ?4/30/2014Report a Violation

Question:
5/4/2014
Hello, will your trailer have a registered or temp plate on it for transport? I will be in WA on the 25th/26th and can make delivery on the 30th. Sean AT Sean C Becker TransportReport a Violation
Response: As far as I'm aware the trailer still has Washington registration but that's probably expired. The trailer will be registered in Wisconsin when it arrives but is not yet registered. Since it will be shipped on a flat bed trailer with the boat that shouldn't matter for transport. Does that answer your question ?5/4/2014Report a Violation

Question:

Hello Shipper. Its hard to tell which way you may go...the fact is flatbed is harder to find and the increase in cost to flatbed vs Tow away is usually triple to four times what it costs to repack the bearings and deal with tires issues,$500-$800 more. With Tow away when your boat arrives at destination its ready or the season, new marine grease and seals. Flatbed, if you can find it with such a small window for delivery, will drop off your rig in its present condition, unknown...at a higher cost. It's my job to talk you off the flats and onto my hitch. Doesn't always work but if you change your mind about flatbedding hopefully you will remember my advice and send us a bid request. I bring up valid points and hope for the best. Planning into you small window I have a boat to drop in Seattle on the 20th-22nd ish of May, I would then get yours and have it to you on the 27th, I may do a small job in the NW before I PU yours as its only a 2-3 day drive to you. How much is the Ferry ride? WLNot in Violation
Question:

If needed...$125 per axle for grease and seals. $45 per hub for bearing sets, (not usually replaced) My company has two spare's. WhitelineReport a Violation

Response: Based on some of the responses I've seen so far, I'm not comfortable having anyone with a pick-up towing the boat when I don't know who it is and how they might handle the trailer over such a long trip, over the mountains etc. It's a twin axle trailer and while I am fairly sure it is in good condition I do not know specifically the condition of the tires. What is your experience with hauling boats ? How would you check the trailer before you leave WA ? Are you saying that you would replace the grease and seals ? What speeds do you average ? I didn't answer your question about the ferry. The one-way cost for the trailer will be $59 (assuming it is less that 30ft long), round trip for your truck, $24.50, and $13.50 for the driver for a total of $97 (which I might be able to prepay. We all know the ferry staff very well). They would like a week's advance notice if possible probably because in May they still operate on a reduced schedule.5/6/2014Report a Violation
Response: Hello Shipper. I I do is haul boats, I have the experience and the know how to do every repair to a trailer and I have. I am a licensed airframe and powerplant mechanic, My avg speed is about 63 mph or whatever get best fuel mileage. Fuel is where it gets me. The only way to check the trailer is to fill the tires with air, shoot in a little grease in each hub(hopefully the bearing buddy will show that they are taking the grease) and go. If the bearings run at normal operating temp your good to go if they don't I can re grease the axles with marine grease and new seals for $125 per axle and $25 for shop supplies. If a bearing set is bad it's about $45 per hub, that is not common for the bearing to go bad. Bearings that are caught over heating on the road can be regreased on the spot until I get to a safe place by popping off the hub and getting new grease to the inner bearing. saves the spindle. All that is not necessary until the bearing show excessive heat. I check them often. WL5/6/2014Report a Violation

Question:
5/6/2014
We would be $2250 for tow away on the 23rd ish of May. I think your weight is off, it needs to include the wt of the trailer, the wwt of the outboard engine and any fuel on board. I bid for it to be a little heavier. WhitelineReport a Violation
Response: I will be out of the area and will not arrive at LaPointe until the evening of May 26 assuming my flight is not delayed. I want to be sure that you understand that. I cannot take delivery before , although, I can make the arrangements with the ferry line ahead. The tight window is because I'm leaving again at the weekend. It would be safer if you could plan to arrive on May 28. Let me know what's possible. The destination will be the marina on the island which is within walking distance of the ferry terminus. While you are correct about the added weight there will be no fuel on board.5/6/2014Report a Violation
Response: I will shoot for the 27th or 28th, whichever works...I will likely arrive near the 27th, better for me to be early then catching up.I don't mind the waiting at destination till the 28th should it be needed. I can work with you. You cant accept until you change the bidding process and send me a bid request. Whiteline5/6/2014Report a Violation

Question:

looks like you would have to change the bidding process of your listing should you decide to go with our offer. Thx WhitelineReport a Violation
Response: Other than "open shipment" what did you mean ? Since you raised the question of weight, let me be clear that the photo I used was a stock picture. My boat has twin O/B's of 40 HP rather than a single 90 HP. But no fuel.5/6/2014Report a Violation
Response: you can change that, its not important if we agree on the tow away method, you have it set up so that a transporter can only bid the price you set of $2021, you need to change the listing so that that number is our agreed on price of $2250, I cant place my $2250 bid at this time, it wont allow anything other then your set price of $2021 by only allowing me to decline or click on an "I agrees to the price" button. Thats what you need to change, change the "offer price" to $2250 and send me a bid request, you will probably have to contact uship to do that. Whiteline5/6/2014Report a Violation
