Questions for this shipment:

Question: Our bid includes full coverage insurance. (4/22/2008)
Response: Thank you but you are still far higher than any price I have been given for this shipment. (4/22/2008)
Response: If you still need this completed we could possiably lower the price if you can extend the timeframe. (4/23/2008)
Response: I have several bids on this job. The best price is $1 per mile but they need more time too. As this is only a 22 foot boat (26' 6" with the outboard tipped up) it can ride with something else. How much time do you need? I am willing to pay up to $1.15 a mile, it is a 2880 mile trip. (4/24/2008)
Question: For a legal transporter with full insurance, that is the going rate. Especially on our equipment and the cost of fuel (4/22/2008)
Question: Thank you for the request. Unfortunately, I am unable to accommodate your needs at this time. Thanks, Matt(WolverineTransport) (4/22/2008)
Question: Hi and good day to you, We have great news. I will be running this route with our transporter and can deliver your C-dory directly to your destination on our trailer for a great price of 3400.00, all inclusive for you if this works fo, I can send the bid if this works for you to quickly accept so we can get the route setup. Once you accept our bid you will be given our contact info and we will get the show on the road for you. Look forward to delivering this for you. Thanks and have a great day! (4/26/2008)
Response: That is great news and I don't mind the $3,400. However, I have several reservations about using you to ship my boat - You have many complaints from customers about not returning phone calls. What have you done to change that? How many fiberglass boats have you shipped? The one on the back of the photo you show is not properly blocked and is loaded lying to one side, please tell me more about your experience. (4/27/2008)
Question: If you had a realistic price you were willing to pay you would have more LEGAL CARRIERS interested in shipping your boat. Couple things for you to understand. You have a boat that DOESN'T have a trailer and then you max $1.15 mile is low even if the boat had a trailer. Hope this helps you (4/29/2008)
Response: Are you saying this would be easier to ship with a trailer? What do you think is the right price 1 - without a trailer, 2 - with a trailer? (4/29/2008)
Response: Couple things about your reply. It's not that it is easier to transport if the boat had a trailer BUT it is CHEAPER per mile. When you have a boat with no trailer us TSP have to haul around a boat trailer to the destinations (usually empty). We then either have to water launch the boat or have to wait around while the boat is hoisted on/off the trailer. Once the boat is loaded onto our trailer we then need to make sure the bunks are set properly, secure the load, etc. INDUSTRY STANDARD FOR LEGAL CARRIERS is $1.30 + mile with a boat ON ITS OWN TRAILER. A boat WITHOUT a trailer usually runs $1.75 + mile. If it needs to be water launched we get extra for that as well. So to sum it up it is much cheaper to haul you boat on its own trailer as opposed to hauling on our trailer. Also we have to account no only for the mileage & wear/tear/insurance/maintenance on our truck but our trailer as well. That is why it is more expensive to haul your boat on a carriers trailer. Thanks . Jeremiah (4/29/2008)
Response: Jeremiah, thank you for the information, that is a huge help. I will check back there to see if there is a reasonable new or like new trailer to put it on. In between time I will modify the listing to remove the $ 1.15 a mile limit in case there is a carrier who wants to move it without the trailer. (4/29/2008)
Question: Do you have a cradle to hold this on my 36 foot triaxle trailer? (4/29/2008)
Response: No sorry, there is no cradle or trailer. (4/29/2008)
Question: hello price 6000.00 on our adjustable 40 ft boat trailer..let me know jeff (4/29/2008)
Response: Jeff, is there any way to put something else on to ride along with my boat and get my portion of the shipment down to about $4,000? I like your feedback, it sounds like you do quality work. I hope you get this message, the uship email system seems a bit off today. (4/29/2008)
Response: thanx for the compliment and yes im all about good service and getting the merchandise to you without any hiccups..I tell you what i could come down to 5300.00 cash on delivery but that would be the best that i could do..I really wish i could comply with the 4 grand but with my own trip axle trailer truck wear and tear etc.oil change after every trip..marland to wash is always easy to find going that way..coming back is the problem..not much comes out of there so everyone normaly ends up dead heading to cali nnv or else where..I really really wish i could get down around your target, you seem like nice person to be able to deal with..but please keep in mind the cost of fuel now days..Hope to get your business but if not i hope you still get your boat saftly with another carrier for your price that you have in mind..thnx jeff (4/29/2008)
Response: Thanks Jeff. I understand the fuel and the dead heading problem. I think C-Dory may have a boat that needs to get to Annapolis, MD. That might give you a full load all the way back. I cannot post their number here but they are located in Auburn, WA. Let me know if that helps you out. (4/29/2008)
Response: okay i will check it tommorrow..Its 1 am here and im driving 6 hrs home tonight...late exhausted...will get back to you tommorrow..thnak you,,, (4/29/2008)
Response: Thanks, I will be here. Let me know about your trailer then too. (4/29/2008)
Question: Gosh do i ever wish i could..I can do you for 5000.00 grand and yes that is with a very small item with yours..I know a thous more is that much more than what you wanted to spend but i have some of the best equipment and trucks money can buy, insurance etc,,I have to make money especially using my trailer if i have say 2 blowouts that is 380 not counting down time fuel..do you see where im coming from..I wish i could do the 4 grand ,,i really do and im so kind hearted i have to tell someone to slap me where i wont agree to that. But i justy cant meet 4..i will do it for 5 cash on delivery..I really hope that you see and i think you do..it is a thous more but its always better to go with the person that has the prooven tract record to back them up..You can see ive transported from over 100k boats too 2 k and not a mishap yet thank the good lord for that..well i am already feeling dissapointed if we dont do business..out of letters cant type any more..lets do business at 5 grand.thnx jeff (4/29/2008)
Response: Jeff, you mentioned a 40 foot boat trailer. I assume it has bunks and keel rollers? How does the boat get supported and tied down? Do you have a picture of the equipment? (4/29/2008)
Response: yes i will get pic on profile tomorrow ...yES CARPET BUNKS WITH KEEL BUNKS ..i STRAP FRONT BACK AND WHERE EVER ELSE IT NEEDS IT...i WOULDNT WANT THE BOAT moving around anymore than you would..I jusgt hauled a 29 ft formula on it sunday from fl to tn..rode perfect...youll just have to trust my good judgment and let me do this for you..I will put that pic on tommorow also so you can see what it looked like on there..your boat will fit perfect..thnx jeff (4/30/2008)
Response: Great, I'll look forward to seeing your equipment. The yard where the boat is will only load it on something that properly supports it. I have had a couple of haulers think they can just lay it on a flat bed! (4/30/2008)
Response: goodmorning,i posted the one picture of the formula on my trip axle..havent made it home yet but will take pic of empty trailer when i get there..but it is definatly capable of hauling your boat...or i can get your own trailer for around 3 to 3500.. (4/30/2008)
Response: O.K.Jeff, I saw the picture of the Formula. Looks like a great aluminum trailer. Yes, your trailer will definitely work. Let me know what your time frame is, pick up, delivery dates. If we bought a trailer would that drop your price? How much for an aluminum tandem axle trailer that fits a 22 foot boat. Should have 3,800 load capacity for a some safety margin. A spare tire, led lights and disc brakes should be on there too? (4/30/2008)
Response: yes its only a dollar a mile on your trailer....i will look price up..you say trailer for 22 ft..your boat is listed at 26 ft...which is correct lengh? (4/30/2008)
Response: Jeff it is a 22 foot boat with a Honda outboard on the back. If the outboard is tipped up for transit then the overall length is 26' 6". The trailer only needs to accomodate a 22 foot boat because the outboard hangs out behind. I listed overall length because some haulers want that if they are going on a low-loader with another boat. (4/30/2008)
Response: I got you,,Im just about positive i can get u aluminum fully loaded led elec brakes and all for 3000 3500..im looking now...plus after you use it awhile descide you dont need trailer you can always sell it..I booked another boat last night ..I was hoping to book u first so it will be a couple weeks on pickup now.. (4/30/2008)
Response: Too bad we could not nail this down last night! Let me know what you come up with on the trailer price and availability. I need to know what your firm delivery date here would be. I am running short on time because this boat goes into charter service on May 30 and I need at least ten days to put it together for that. How would we handle the trailer registration as it is going to end up out of state? (4/30/2008)
Response: as long as you have bill of sale title you regester it in your home state...yeah i know about the time ..it would be 2 weeks ive got a boat to do for my partner that ive already commited to..I would like to make it work it will just be close.. (4/30/2008)
Response: Jeff, I would like to work with you, that very close timing is a little scary. I have another bid that just came in with a trailer. Did you come up with a trailer price and delivery for it yet? (4/30/2008)
Response: yes with me purchasing you a trailer picking it up and delivering your boat to you it will be a total of6500.00..thats for aluminum 20 to 22 ft trailer..2 sets disc breaks, led adjustable bunkers, mag wheels.. (4/30/2008)
Response: O.K. Jeff that sounds very fair, don't forget you need a spare tire too! Who is the builder of the trailer and what is the model# ? Now what about delivery of the trailer and your dates to pick up in MD and arrive in WA? (4/30/2008)
Response: it is a sea loader by pirate marine..trailer will hold 5000 lbs...pickup between 9th and 12th..have it to you in 3 days...i will need the trailer money overnighted or bank transfer after acceptance of bid..i need to send you a contract also to sign...add 225 for spare and spare carrier..aluminum spare to match wheels on trailer....there are only a few of these trailers and i have to put deposit for them to hold me one let me know what u want to do.. (4/30/2008)
Response: Jeff, I could not find that company on line, I assume it is a welded trailer, not one of those bolted together jobs? It sounds like you know what you are doing. Lets go for it, as long as you can be here by May 16th, during business hours it will work. Definitely get the spare and carrier. Are you really o.k. driving 960 miles a day - that is 2,880/3 ?? (4/30/2008)
Response: most of all your trailers now days are somewhat bolt together..frame is solid though..good trailers..yes i normaly drive that or more..stop for fuel bb and check equipment out ..and sleep not much of it ..thats my normal though..I will have it there by then..thnx i will submit bid.. (4/30/2008)
Question: i am checking on your trailer this morning. will you be here to answer any questions this morning? (4/30/2008)
Response: Yes, remember, I am on the West Coast. What sort of time, my time (PST)?? (4/30/2008)
Question: in about an hour or so (4/30/2008)
Response: No problem, I'll be here. My boat is a 22 foot boat with an outboard on the back. Everyone tells me a trailer for it should be a tandem axle and either galvanized or aluminum. The boat weighs 1,925 lbs, outboard about 500 lbs, if the tanks full (the marina was told to empty them) 640 lbs, gear 250 lbs and a 500 lb safety margin. So, I reckon the trailer should be able to take a 3,800 lb load placed on it. (4/30/2008)
