Looks like you are trying to get this shipped for free. Don't know what you think it costs to ship a boat across country with $4 diesel, insurance, etc. Might want to consider shipping the product yourself. Just a thought.

Response: : You may want to review the uShip user agreement. Pay close attention to Paragraph 11,14,& 15. It helps explain what is required by law to transport goods across state lines. You can verify any carriers "authority" (what makes them LEGAL) @ www.safersys.org. Just input there MC# (this is the number that the carriers authority is under). Diesel is $4 gal insurance is $9,000 a year, there will be tolls in the north east along with tolls in the Chicago area. You will also not want to have this trailered towed with the travel tarp. They aren't intended to hold up for a cross country trip. I would definetly have it shrink wrapped. I am in ID now on my way to deliver this boat/aritic cat to Calgary tonight. Just went through a massive snow storm. Shrink wrap is the only way to go. Also as mentioned before coming from the east coast it is a shorter distance when you go through ND/SK rather then over to Sweetgrass then up to Calgary. I have run that route many time in the past.3/15/2008

Hi, to answer the question about adding a personal watercraft, yes can be done. Would have to put together with a load of new boats going to Calgary. We would transport your boats on our trailer with the new Wake Board boats. Just have to get the timing right and this will cost more money for the 2 spaces on the trailer. We also would have to get an OK from our Calgary dealer. Let me know, Steve

Response: : Thanks for the opportunity to rebid. As I had explained earlier, we would have to pick up the boat and trailer and take it to the manufactuer's facility and then put it together with a load going to our dealer in Calgary. This would not be a direct trip from Conneaut Lake to Calgary. There is a Marina on hwy 6 - 322 that could load your boat on to our trailer. We could suggest a customs broker in Calgary to handle your paper work. I am sure we can make arrangments for off loading at our dealer in Calgary. Response: Yes please rebid. The same dealer where I bought the cobalt from has a sea-doo for a good price. So please provide an updated bid for the boat only and then a quote for the cobalt and sea-doo shipping. The cost of shipping may make the sea-doo more expensive than purchasing in Canada. Also the cobalt is getting some option put on before shipping ... estimated to be ready for pickup the first week of May ... but I am flexible on date! Thanks!4/7/2008

If the jet ski is packaged so that it could fit in an 8 foot pick up truck bed, I would be able to deliver both of these item to the border for $3,000.00 If you would meet me at the border and do all of the customs work yourself, I'll continue on to Calgary for an additional $250.00 We just returned from delivering a boat to the border in Washington State. Response: : I utilize a 2005 Dodge 2500HD Cummins 4x4 truck. I do not have a lot of experience crossing the border, my experience has been that is the property owner that is importing the property is not present, a broker is necessary. That is why I said I will continue on with the boar up to Calgary, if you would meet me at the border to do the paper work. I am insured for what I am towing up to $500,000. I would need appx. 24 hours notice to schedule pickup and then appx. four days travel time to get to the border crossing. I take my time and care for your property as if it was my own. I have handled deliveries across the border in the past, HOWEVER there was either a broker or I met the owner at the border. You will need title to boat and trailer, along with a letter, usually notarized from the boat or motor manufacturer indicating that the boat/motor is not the subject of any safety recalls, and if it had been the subject of a safety recall, the issue has been corrected. I could pick this up Wednesday morning and be at border late Friday. I could meet you or your broker at the border. If necessary, I could wait at the border to meet you there over the weekend. I will work with you in whatever is necessary to accommodate you. I would appreciate the chance to do this for you, and the sooner you can accept my bid the easier it is for me to schedule my work.
