Response: Hi It's ready now. do you have dot and mc #'s? (4/9/2008)

Response: Yes we have DOT authority. However, do not believe the mis-information being handed out on this site by armchair lawyers about DOT authority. DOT authority is needed if someone is using a commercial vehicle to transport for hire. You can pay anyone you wish to perform a service for you in a non commerical vehicle and they do not require DOT operating authority. In fact, many of the DOT carriers on this site, just as ourselves, do not realize even if the carry (as we do) the mandatory $750k to $1 mil liability and $100k cargo insurance, it states in their policy the cargo ins. only covers what is "in or on their owned or leased equipment". They usually find out when they have a claim, if they are towing someone else's equipment they are not covered. That is why we have a rider replacement cost insurance policy issued on each item we tow such as a boat. If we use one of our company vehicles to transport, we do so under the company name & DOT Number. If we just use a pickup, we do not. (4/9/2008)

Response: Hey craig. I got a hold of the boat dealer. and he says he can make it available for you for tomorrow. but now he says the bearings should be checked befor it goes.I don't see the problem it's only 3 seasons old and traveled about 1500miles. i'm ready to go if you guys are. please let me know.sorry about this I had it checked out by a surveyer and thought everything was ok Thanks Brad.
