I have gotten burned with a similar situation just a month ago where I transported a Motorcycle all the way to Denver and was told by the seller that the Paypal funds had been withdrawn after the fact. I would gladly be the middle man and hand him a certified check (in his name)that you draw on your bank when I pick it up. Paypal funds are not certified and can be disputed after the boat leaves my posession. Not something I want to be involved with if it goes sour.
