Additional Information: I can take time off and get it myself, but want to see if someone can do it for about $500 over my fuel cost. Dealership is slow on finishing deal so my timeline is not immediate (& I can wait). A good combination tow example is a 2005 Malibu Vride 21ft from CA to GA (on uship). Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello, What year is your airstream? Are the brakes, bearings, and tires in good order? Does it have current plates? I am prepared to make you a much better offer than you currently have, but I will not be available until 2 weeks from now. (Doug) (1/24/2008)
Response: The dealer replied; "We can repack the wheel bearings,, $45.00 per wheel plus any parts. Tires look okay. No, this trailer does not have any tag, but our company will supply a temporary tag for 30 days. " Sounds pretty good, but I'm looking into hiring an inspector (to make sure everything checks out). I'll make sure everything is taken care of before having you haul. (1/30/2008)
Response: Ok, I will keep an eye on your listing, but will not bid untill I am sure that my other project is complete. Thanks, (Doug) (1/26/2008)
Question: Hello Shipper, What is your time frame for this shipment move? We can deliver your freight for $1610.84 Let me know if this will work for you and what your schedule is, and if it works out we can will submit a formal bid. (1/29/2008)
Response: I may be able to fly out to see the trailer this weekend. (I don't feel comfortable buying it without checking it out, and the dealer is incredibly slow on getting requests completed - we just got paperwork 2 weeks after agreeing on a price). If I check it out this weekend, it may be ready to ship as early as 2/12/08. I don't "need it" shipped anytime soon, although if all goes well, I'd like to get it by the end of February. (2/5/2008)
Response: That would work perfect your trailer would be a back haul for us. please keep us posted. so we may have the chance to serve you. (1/30/2008)
Response: I've been busy with a new son. Are you still interested in delivering this trailer? Thanks (3/20/2008)
Question: WOW! The expenses alone will be about 1060. (1/30/2008)
Question: My truck is finally finished having a new box put on it, it took longer than it should have. Do you still need this taken to Cali? I can do this for you for $1743 (2/22/2008)
Response: Sorry so long on replying. I had a baby boy and have been busy ever since. Can you still deliver the Airstream trailer? (3/14/2008)
Response: Congratulations! I offered you that price last month because I was already heading to California. But since time is not a concern for you I will try to look for the same setup in the coming weeks. (3/17/2008)
Response: I assume you can still do it for under $1800? Also, I'm having the tires replaced and the bearings repacked. Would you be towing it or putting it onto a trailer of some sort? Finally, about when would you pick it up (just so I know an approximate timeline)? (3/18/2008)
Question: If this trailer is roadworthy, licensed (temp plates) and insured, I would like to make a formal bid of your target price of $1500. I would be towing it with a 2007 GMC 5.7 liter pickup. If your are interested, please let me know. Thanks John (3/18/2008)
Response: The dealer assured me they would repack the bearings, replace the tires and license the trailer. I've already talked to my insurance. Go ahead and bid, and let me know your timeline, then we can work out details. (3/19/2008)
Response: I missed a delivery so the only way I can deliver your trailer is to deadhead from Northwest Arkansas to South Carolina and from Sacramento to Northwest Arkansas. Fuel expenses alone would be $1500 or more at today's prices. Would it be possible to use the facilities of the trailer, shower, bed, bathroom? I would not be cooking in it. I am a non tobacco user of any kind and I don't have any pets. If this is possible, I could move the trailer for $2200. Please let me know. Thanks John (3/19/2008)
Response: Staying in it would be fine, but $2200 is too high. The dealer is very slow on responding (I asked a week ago if the tires and bearings are done, but still no response). (3/24/2008)
Question: I noticed your expiration date is 4/1. Are you still in need of moving this trailer to California? I sent you a previous question but never got an answer. I also noticed all of your bids had expired. That is probably because of the increase in fuel prices. If you still need this moved, please respond to the question so I can make a quick decision between you mand a boat movement. Thanks John (3/24/2008)
Response: I know my asking price is not much above fuel costs, but if someone pairs it with something going east, it's a good haul. I have plenty of time, so I can wait for the situation to work out for someone. (3/24/2008)
Response: Thanks for your quick response. If things don"t work out otherwise, keep me in mind. When I make a transport, it is a dedicated run, not combined with anything else. That way I can give all my attention to the one item. Thanks John (3/24/2008)
