Questions for this shipment:

Question: I could do this after I drop my next load in MA for 1500.00 before I hook on..... -Robert- (10/19/2005)
Question: i am heading down to st augustine for thanksgiving. will deliver boat for you door to door for 1400 complete. thanks (10/19/2005)
Response: Okay, that sounds good. Are you properly licensed and insured? Also, I may be off a few inches on the measurement, but this is a typical Mako 21, center console, with a 200HP Yamaha and a 6.5' Tee Top. The delivery would be to Palm City home address. (10/19/2005)
Question: i am just a guy trying to make a few bucks here and there. anything hooked to my truck is insured though. i can provide you the names of local marina's i haul for on a regular basis if you like. if you are ready to accept i'll submit my bid. thanks (10/20/2005)
Response: What do you think of the comments made by DRHauler that anyone shipping for hire must have USDOT and MC# or risk impound? (10/20/2005)
Question: Shipper beware anything transported for hire must done with proper authority or it is illegal. A shipper must have a USDOT# and an MC# to operate for hire on the highways. If they dont have this they are operating illegally and you are risking impound of your boat at your cost. Insurance comapnies WILL NOT cover if its done for hire on your personal policies. A lot of illegals here so be carefull. They are chaep for a reason. THEY HAVE NO EXPENSES TO STAY LEGAL. (10/24/2005)
Question: i really don't get into all this scare tactic stuff. everyone has a right to conduct themselves the way they see fit and say or write what they want. but i really don't see how anyone is going to know if i am towing my boat or yours. what would happen if your neighbor hauled it for you and you gave him a few bucks for gas?? nothing! i could see the point if i was hauling a load of boats, cars or whatever. but 1 single boat or trailer. come one, give me a break. there's a million single boats and rv's going up and down the road. if you decide to give me the job i will do my best for you as i do for everyone. if not i certainly appreciate your time and consideration. thanks (10/24/2005)
Question: 1) Its not a scare tatic its the law 2) If my nieghbor gave me gas money to haul thier boat its the responsibilty of both of you to know what your getting into, most people who ship from here assume that one knows the laws of what he does, that is your responsibilty, if you have an accident your insurance will not pay I know I am in that industry also. Its federal law thst you must have a USDOT# and an MC# not my opinion or your opinion ITS THE LAW. (10/24/2005)
Question: By the way so there is no confusion here I am not the owner of the boat so I dont care what you do but it really make us who are legal who do pay high commercial insurance rates to be legal who pay our single state registration, who log our hours legally really frustrated when jacklegs like you undercut because you DONT have the expenses we have, because we choose to follow the Federal Laws. I see bids on here that would barely cover expenses buddy your trying to make a few bucks we are trying to make a living. Show some respect. (10/24/2005)
Question: Remember drivers will tell you almost anything to get you to ship with them .....If you don't have a DOT# just tell them you are shipping for a friend or you just bought it......this site is not just for those with DOT #'s and IFTA .....it is to help you get your things shipped and help others make alittle extra cash.... (10/24/2005)
Question: What are you driving that you need a log? I shipped for years without a log and never got introuble because I was not over the required weight..... (10/24/2005)
Question: I drive a 1 ton Dodge dually and yes if your a commercial vehicle you must log I have been stopped, I have been asked for my logbook you have lucky go ahead you do what you do it WIll catch up with you one day. Its the law read up on it if you prove me wrong I will apoligize publically go to a truckstop buy the DOT rulebook its all in there as a matter of fact just call your state DOT do what you must its a free country, just dont tell me I am wrong for following the laws of this country. If you wreck a customers boat what will you tell DOT. Your insurance wont pay if they find out actually they will drop you. Good luck make money be sfae please though follow the laws they are there for all our safety (10/25/2005)
Question: good morning. any decission on the boat haul yet? the other day you indicated to me that you were about to accept my bid. i hope this is still the case. i'll be on the road most of the day and will be checking in again later this evening. i look forward to working for you. thanks (10/26/2005)
Response: To all...with all of this talk about proper registrations and such, I am concerned about insurance coverage. Please let me know if your auto coverage will cover damage to the boat and/or trailer, as my auto policy does not unless it's hooked to my vehicle. This is important to all of us I think, right? (10/26/2005)
Question: Hello! I can do this for you for 1250.My insurance extends to trailer only. You will need personal property insurance on the vessel. Thanks! Glenn (10/26/2005)
Question: Hello! I will find a run to you and then will place my bid.I will need 48hrs to find something. Thanks for your interest in my services! Glenn (10/27/2005)
Response: To all...with all of this talk about proper registrations and such, I am concerned about insurance coverage. Please let me know if your auto coverage will cover damage to the boat and/or trailer, as my auto policy does not unless it's hooked to my vehicle. This is important to all of us I think, right? (10/27/2005)
Question: CARGO INSURANCE IS ONLY INSURANCE THAT COVERS BOAT AND TRAILER DAMAGE ACT LIKE COLLISION ON A CAR (10/27/2005)
Question: Any chance this would be ready beofre Nov 6th? I have a run out that way, but haven't yet firmed up the date. I have DOT authority with commercial and cargo ins. BTW the guy who says you need authority and commercial ins. is absolutely right. Also for the other guy. IFTA and IRP only apply if the total gross combined vehicle weight is 26001 or over. (10/27/2005)
Question: Ok I just had to get into this one. 1st off, shipper there is nothing wrong with using a driver without a DOT#. There are LEGAL loop holes a driver can use and be covered at the same time. If I haul a boat and get paid how the holy phuc is Mr. Sheriff Willard going to know unless I tell them. Hey Mr. "HONEST" driver, do you really think your government tells you everything? Do you really think they tell you the truth? They set the standard and go right on screwing us over and over and over in ways you don't even know! The could write enough books to fill a library on fibs the Government tells to burn you me them out of $. So in the trying world If I want to haul some shit and LEGALLY, jump around the truth, then so be it. As for insurance, DRIVERS/SHIPPERS, use: http://www.grw-products.com/Cargo%20Insurance.htm - It is recommended by Uship. I use it all the time, and its Primary insurance! Simple stuff! They don't give two shits who hauls it! As long you pay, they cover! SEE NEXT POST (10/27/2005)
Question: SHIPPER, don't ever be fooled by any group in life that will try to use the buttons on their cub scouts jacket to elevate themselves above another group! Especially when they use half truths! And before all you piss ass DOT NUMBERED drivers start going off, I too am USDOT#!!!! But may just stop paying mine as well. Then I will under bid you fools as well! (10/27/2005)
Question: man that insurance info is awesome. been looking for something like that for a while. thanks again! (10/28/2005)
Question: You Pay for your USDOT#? They are free anyone can get one in less than 5 minutes. Its the MC# that is $300.00 a one time fee only so your gonna stop paying what? (10/28/2005)
