Questions for this shipment:

Question: I would be able to do this haul for you for $2000.00 at your time frame is that for pick up or delivery. July 1st (6/15/2005)
Response: Already got a bid today for the 1700.00 (6/15/2005)
Question: no probem let me know if you change your mind and still want me to bid. Randy I have hauled several boats for U-Ship and deliver in a timely manner. Randy (6/17/2005)
Response: Did you tell me if you had Cargo Insurance? (6/17/2005)
Question: any idea when you will be ready to ship as I am headed out sunday night and trying to map out my route. (6/17/2005)
Response: Not going to make it for this Sunday. I am trying to make it for the 1st, which is what I thought you said. (6/17/2005)
Question: I am going to be out on the east coast on the first yes, but was hoping to lock my runs in at earlies convience. Just keep me posted (6/17/2005)
Question: Is the measurement correct on the width, as it would be an overwide load? (6/17/2005)
Response: Length: 20' 6" Beam: 8' 6" Draft: 14" Deadrise: 19 degrees Overall Length of Boat Motor & Trailer 27' 11" (6/17/2005)
Question: I will have a truck heading out to CA at the end of June. Looking to complete a load out there and back. Could do it for $1600.00. I have drivers in Michigan weekly. What is your timeframe? We are DOT and ICC(Interstate Commerce Commission) registered. Insurance $150K Cargo, $750K liability. We specialize in boat transport. What kind of boat is it? Thanks. (6/18/2005)
Response: I have uploaded a photo of my boat in my listing. Will you pull it on the trailer, or on flatbed. I don't care, either way is fine. If you have the insurance and can provide me with proof of the insurance via fax, then we are good to go for the end of June with you. (6/18/2005)
Question: How is the overall length of the boat 27' 11" when the boat is on only 20'6"? Is the trailer too big for the boat? (6/18/2005)
Question: I could pull for you this week. The measurements make sense but does the weight include the trailer? I will pull with an SUV for your target. You use your boaters insurance to cover the move. Much cheaper than a commercial policy. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks. (6/19/2005)
Question: The only reason people can do it cheaper is because they are illegal. Illegal means they can get your items impounded and "heavy" fines on getting them out. The prices that I quote are only with possible "backhaul" in my direction. Let the DOT get this illegal carriers and get rid of them. If these "other" carriers can't provide DOT numbers and ICC MC numbers don't trust them. In order to transport across state line they must be registered with the ICC(Interstate Commerce Commission) and have DOT numbers. Don't give me this "commercial rates". I can give competitive rates even as commercial. I am not out here hauling illegal and trying to make a living, I do it right. These are a bunch of "washed up' truck drivers that bought them a dually and tought they would make a bunch of money hauling boats or whatever they could get there hands on. Thanks for letting me speak my mind. I have had it with this site...... (6/19/2005)
Response: I agree with you. I am only interested in qualified drivers who can prove to me they are qualified and have the permits and insurance. This is why I have not accepted any bids yet as none can show me this. If you have it, then you are the target guy I am looking for. Let me know! (6/19/2005)
Question: GVW and/or GCVW under 10,001 pounds do not need DOT numbers. (6/20/2005)
Response: Thank you for the info. What about ICC and Cargo Insurance? Are you interested in bidding? (6/20/2005)
Question: yes we do. (6/20/2005)
Response: So you can provide via fax copies of your current insurance? If so, then what is your official bid? (6/20/2005)
Question: I can provide copies but I can't provide shipment at this time I have committed to another boat first of next from ga to ca. Sorry but if you still need it when I get back I will talk to you then. randy (6/20/2005)
Response: Let me know a date you think you can do it. (6/20/2005)
Question: I have another business that gets busy mid summer through the fall. I started this to supplement the slow times. I called FMCSA when I started and they said that I did not need DOT because of the previous statement and being under weight. They did not say about anything else nor did I ask. The other boat owners all have just activated the boaters insurance policy they will buy anyway for the extra couple of days. This is much cheaper. I would charge more than your target to provide a commercial policy. If you are looking for insurance at your target then I am not the guy. I would suggest you check their feedback on this site also. Thanks. (6/21/2005)
Response: Thasnks for the response. My insurance will not cover my boat if I am not towing it, no matter how much I pay. I asked already, that is why I need to be covered. Thanks... (6/21/2005)
Question: Thanks for your confidence in me. I thought the boat was smaller and I would need to load on top of truck (Ford F-350) to complete my load. The boat is a little too large to do that at this time. Once again thanks. (6/21/2005)
Response: If you have a F-350, you can pull it on its trailer. No need to load it on top. YOu can haul other goods and just pull this. Or do you not want to do that? (6/21/2005)
Question: I would do that but the other boat that I have going to CA would make us above the height limit of 13'6". I just thought your boat was smaller. (6/21/2005)
Response: So do you want to do this on another run, or do you not want to do this at all? Again, my height is under 10' pulled on the trailer (6/21/2005)
Question: I could do it on another run but I am not for sure when that will be. It could be sometime in July, not for sure right now. I would take your boat now if I hadn't already taken a bid on another boat that can only be pulled. Thanks. (6/21/2005)
Response: Keep me posted if you make another run. If I don't get it done by then, we can do some business... (6/21/2005)
Question: Sounds good. I wish that I could help you right now but I will check with you again when we get back out to CA. Thanks again! (6/21/2005)
