Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello. I have placed my bid for your consideration. Please click on my username "Greyhound" (located next to my bid) to review my U-ship "Profile" & feedback. Please click on either of the blue numbers located at the top-left of my "Profile" page. Doing this will provide you with a "real-time" link to the Federal Motor Carrier Sfaety Administration (USDOT) and assist you in determining that I am a "LEGAL" motor carrier. By scrolling down the FMCSA/USDOT link-page, you will be able to determine the following: (1)I hold Federal authority (license) to operate "for hire" in interstate commerce; (2)My "Cargo Carried" includes the (lawful) transport of Motor Vehicles (including motorcycles); & (3)I have Cargo Insurance on file with USDOT. ALL OF THE ABOVE ARE REQUIRED FOR THE LEGAL TRANSPORT OF MOTORCYCLES. Don't risk seizure & confiscation of your bike! (Yes, it CAN happen!) Please use a LEGAL motor carrier! Best regards, "Greyhound" (Kelly Freight Services) (9/15/2009)
Response: Thank you for taking the time to explain your service and legalitites. (9/15/2009)
Response: You're most welcome. I'm not an attorney & don't intend to dispense legal advise; however, I am a professional & have been in this business in one form or another for a great many years, so I have to know the rules. I also believe in public education for the safety of the public & betterment of the industry. For instance, it's not enough just to have a USDOT and/or Motor Carrier number. In order to effect the legal transport of a motor vehicle, it MUST be listed in the "Cargo Carried" section of the carrier's license--you can certainly feel free to use mine for comparison & example purposes. I am also registered as a Class 9, (non-bulk) haz-mat transporter, as recently required by the federal government for transport of internal combustion engines. Please note that I am also based reasonably close to the dealership, so pick-up is not a big issue. Regards, Tony K. ("Greyhound") (9/15/2009)

Response: Could the shipper help lift it into the back of my pickup or should I bring a ramp?? I could make the 1 hour window I plan to be in Thw Hamptons between 8 and 9 am Unhook the boat and head west towards the city. (9/16/2009)
Response: considering its a motorcycle dealership, I would imagine they have help, and even ramps. Just wondering if you will need a ramp for getting it off the truck in philadelphia. would it be much trouble to take the ramp along? I'd love to get this taken care of over the weekend. I plan to go up there on Saturday and settle all paperwork. Thanks for your flexibility. (9/16/2009)
Response: You will see my id below vor pickup between 11 am and noon on Sunday and delivering directly to you (9/16/2009)
Question: When are looking to do this? Thanks Ted (9/16/2009)
Response: pick up in long island next week - deliver to philadelphia on Thursday 9/24. (9/16/2009)
