Additional Information:
I need this Vespa LX150 shipped from Little Falls, NEW YORK to Brooklyn, NEW YORK. That's the photo of the Vespa, it does not include the black bag on the back.
I got burned by TWO shippers on this website already, so if you can't do this, please don't waste my time with a bid because now that this has to happen during the week, people need to take off from work, etc in order to coordinate this, and I would prefer a reliable shipper who won't email me 15 hours beforehand to tell me they can't do it or their truck broke down, or something. I'm a good guy who just needs a bike shipped 240 miles.
If you feel that at some point this week (sooner the better) that you can bring me this bike, that would be great. I pay cash and I tip. Thank you so much for taking the time to bid.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Hello, I will pick up on the 4th and deliver tp you on the 5th. Please let me know. I have submit my offer for 300. Thanks, Ken (5/29/2008)
Response:
Sorry, that price is too high, and those dates are a bit late. I figured near the $175-$200 mark would work based on those estimates but everyone's prices are just so high. (5/29/2008)
Response:
Best I can do is 260. I always ad a day or so on the delivery just incase of troubles, Which is rare. I'll get it to you. The choice is yours. Thanks, Ken (5/29/2008)
Response:
Are you still available to pick up and ship on the 3rd? I'm just running out of options here as I am finding the website to provide unreliable shippers. I'm trying to remain optimistic though. Thanks. (6/1/2008)
Question:
IS this ready today? (5/29/2008)
Response:
I'm not sure it can go today...I know for sure Saturday. (5/29/2008)
Question:
I can do this sunday, 236.00 if your interested Jim (5/29/2008)
Response:
236? Deal. Can you place the bid in the system so I can do it through the site? 1. Are you insured? Will my bike be insured? 2. Do you know what time you'd be able to pick it up and have it delivered to me? 3. How will the bike be secured? Thanks a ton. I've never done this before, sorry for all the questions. Thanks! (5/29/2008)
Response:
first tihng you should do with anyone is click on thier screen name and read thier profile and feedback. once you have done that let me know if you want me to bid. Bike will be put in my van and straped down. I have one at this moment in there and its going to D.C. on sat. Not sure of times for sunday yet, have a delivery in rochester first then pickup yours and deliver it from there. (5/29/2008)
Response:
Thanks, Sunday is perfect with me. Can you still do it? Let me know ASAP. (5/30/2008)
Question:
hello shipper ... I can pickup and deliver tuesday the 3rd for 220 ... let me know and I will submit my bid .... thanks Frank (5/29/2008)
Response:
Are you still available for this? If so, please place the bid. As I've stated in my edited description, I got burned twice on here by shippers, so if you're 100% sure you can do this, then lets make a deal. Thanks a ton! (6/1/2008)
Response:
yes i can do this .... I have submitted my bid ... thanks Frank (6/1/2008)
Question:
do you want this done by wednesday of this week? (6/1/2008)
Response:
Wednesday of this week is good for me, but only if it can be done without cancellations (because I have had more than enough back and forth between shipping providers and the guy I bought the bike from - I just want it done safely and quickly without any hassle). What price point are you offering? (6/1/2008)
Response:
my bid is below and if we can arrange it,we will try to do it on tuesday. (6/1/2008)
Response:
Thanks. I just realized that your freight requires the guy I bought my scooter from to load it up. I'm not sure he can do that. Do you guys offer a service where you just pick up the bike, load it on a truck and strap it down? If not, I can't accept the bid because it wouldn't be right for me to put that sort of work on the seller. Thanks. (6/1/2008)
Response:
we have a lift gate on the truck no problem! (6/1/2008)
Response:
Ok, so no preparation required by the seller of the bike, you just go, pick it up, load it, strap it down (and make sure it doesn't fall/get scratched) and bring to Brooklyn? (I'm just trying to gauge an understanding so we don't have any problems). If that's the case then I'm booking you. And yes, there is a lot of shadiness on here, hence the problems. It seems like a great concept and it's a shame that it's so difficult to find reliable people. (6/1/2008)
Response:
The bike will be blanketed and strapped(have seller drain fuel and leave cap off till we load)to side of truck and will be delivered in the same condition as it was loaded. (6/1/2008)
Question:
the reason you have difficulty with most of these other shippers is because they are fly by night outfits that mostly are illegal and have no business being on this site ruining it for legitimate transportation companies that actually play by the rules. (6/1/2008)
Question:
If you accept my bid,I just ask that you tip the driver;there's lots of tolls and fuel between little falls and brooklyn. (6/1/2008)
Response:
That's not a problem, and certainly a promise as I am a firm believer in tipping. (Hey, I know what it's like living in NYC, and a tip makes all the difference - even in my description I offered a tip). Sounds like a deal. Lets get the ball rolling. By the way, do you require any papers with it? When I won the auction I had the gentleman send me the title and paperwork so that I can register the bike here at the DMV - you guys don't need that do you? Ie: You can just ship it no problem. (6/1/2008)
Response:
I think just a signed bill of lading showing where it came from and where it is going should satisfy any law enforcement. But if you could get a faxed copy to the pick up point that would be great too. Thanks in advance and you can rest easy.check my feedback and credentials before you make your final decision as you should with anyone on this site.I'll talk to you later-thanks. (6/1/2008)
