Question: I live in Houston. I could pick you up next week or the week after if you are ready to roll. Please advise. (10/28/2009)

Response: Thanks:
What kind of equipment would you use? The closing is being held up for a week or 2 until the Seller gets his bank to provide a release.
Thanks
Edward (11/3/2009)

Response: I will be using a tri-axle trailer and a 2005 one-ton dually to transport your boat.CT (11/4/2009)

Response: The boat is expected to be ready for pickup in Lindenhurst next Friday (11/20/09). What is your availability for a pickup on that date and your planned delivery to Galveston? The boat will be shrinkwrapped and the marina there will place on your trailer. Do you have any questions?
Edward (11/13/2009)

Response: No questions regarding shipment. Are you asking me to re-bid to accept my bid? (11/13/2009)

Response: I can not accept bid until I get a firm date that the closing took place and vessel is available to be picked up. I hope to get confirmation tomorrow. Please rebid if your group is still available.
thanks,
Edward (11/16/2009)

Response: I understand your position. We don't mind re-bidding on your transport but we prefer to do it once we know that you own the vessel. You are asking me to committ to a date of pickup without you owning the vessel. In essence I would be committing a truck to pick up your boat just in case you close on it and we can only assign the trucks to booked shipments. However I would be glad to bid once you have closed and the shipment is ready. Please let me know and I look forward to hearing from you. hold the trucks. (11/16/2009)

Response: I agree. For the same reason I do not want to accept a bid until I have a firm and known pickup date. Also, I do not want you to hold, or tie up one of your trucks. As soon as I have a date tied down........will advise and if you are available and want to bid, then fine. Will advise on firm date as soon as known. This is my first time.....so I do not want any problems......or cause problems with a shipper.
Thanks,
Edward (11/16/2009)

Response: No problem at all Edward. Just let me know when you get your end closed and I will submit a very competitive bid to you. Thanks (11/16/2009)

Response: I updated the timing on my listing. Deal has closed, but the brokers are taking their time getting all the cushions, etc picked up and placed on board. Have been waiting on this to take place, prior to scheduling the shrink wrapping.
Thanks (11/18/2009)

Response: Okay. Just keep me informed. (11/18/2009)

Response: Hi. Received confirmation this afternoon that the boat is ready to be picked up. Again, the pickup and delivery times need to be during service department business hours for both marinas. Both are closed during the weekends. Also, both do not want a shipper to show up too late in the afternoon, say later than 2 PM, although some advance notice before you show up is helpful. Next week is Thanksgiving, so I am sure the service departments are closed Thurs and Friday. My preference is to get the boat down to Galveston by Wed 11/25, if possible. Also, my second requirement is proof of insurance and I want to make sure that the job is not being farmed out to another carrier. I have had 2 transporters I have been conversing with and that I feel comfortable with, so if you are available and interested in the job, let me know what you can commit to timing wise so I can accept one of these 2 bids. I appreciate your interest.
Thanks,
Edward
(11/19/2009)

Response: Edward I would to do the job for you but unfortunately I'm booked solid until the week after Thanksgiving. I carry insurance and DOT certification. I will be available after Thanksgiving if you can't get it done by next Wednesday. (11/19/2009)

Response: OK......thanks. Trying to get it done by next week may be a long shot, so I will keep you posted.
Edward (11/19/2009)

Response: You are requesting a rebid from me? What happened? What changes did you make? (11/20/2009)

Response: Sorry, this site is very effective, but confusing. I wanted you to give me a firm date for pickup and delivery after Thanksgiving, when you first free up. I want to try to get this deal done. Let me know.
Thanks (11/20/2009)

Response: I can pickup your boat between the 2nd and 4th and delivery within 3 days of pickup. (11/20/2009)

Response: OK........are you still prepared to do it for the $3,000? If so, let's get this deal done. I can wait until then, if the dates are firm.
Thanks,
Edward (11/20/2009)

Question: Good evening Rialto, do you have any confirmed dates for this transport? I'm a owner/operator marine transport company. Fully licensed and insured. Please view my companeis profile and feedback. Thank you and looking forward to doing business. Capt Edgar (11/13/2009)

Response: I am targeting Friday of this week, but need the date confirmed tomorrow. Vessel should be closing today, then needs a day or 2 to prepare from shipping and shrinkwrapping. Please bid, if interested.
Thanks,
Edward (11/16/2009)

Question: Good morning Rialto, Thank you for the bid request! Are you "FIRM" on your transport dates? If so, unfortunately I will not be able to offer service to you as I'm booked through January 2nd. I would be glad to assistance you then if possible. Thank you, Capt Edgar (11/20/2009)
