Question: Hi Todd - Sure, I'll drive almost anything. Just let me know what, when, and where and I'll give you the best price I can. I could give you a good price on the Durango, because I was going to be at the Seattle airport on the 23rd, with a ride up to Everett. Let me know when you think you'd want the Aspen done, and I'll see what I can do. I'm all over the country, all the time, doing these deliveries, for uShip customers, and other regular customers. BTW, any time someone is driving your car, your insurance is the primary coverage, no matter what kind of insurance the actual driver has. If you don't have insurance on your car, then you're depending on someone else's policy to cover your liability. You are the owner, so you are always first in line, so to speak. Myself, I would never trust someone else's insurance company to cover me or my property...I have a hard enough time trusting my own. As for price, I'm rarely the least expensive, or the most, but I'm honest, (cont'd) (2/13/2008)

Response: I'm flexable on the pickup date, it is the drop off in Shelby that I would like to arrange for a Friday or Saturday. I would make sure I had my own insurance. Can you please submit your quote ?
Todd (2/13/2008)

Response: Hi Todd - This is about a four day drive, Mother Nature permitting, so it would need to be picked up probably on a Monday or Tuesday for a Friday or Saturday delivery. In winter, I always like to have a little extra time when heading up to the border; actually, anywhere I-40 and above. The weather in America is just too complex to predict that far out, so one just has to adjust to what happens. Sometimes, that simply means more time. Safety is always my number one priority. The first time I would be available for a Monday or Tuesday pick up would be the 25th or 26th. If that still interests you, let me know and I'll work up a price. The Aspen is 5.7 L, 4WD, correct? Thanks again. ~Jim (2/13/2008)

Response: You are correct and safety is the number one priority. The 25th or 26th would work and yes it is a 4WD. A price quote would be great.
Thanks,
Todd (2/13/2008)

Response: Todd - Give me a few, these take a little while to figure, but a rough is about $1,100, but you can't hold me to it. It'll take me about 15 or 20 minutes to get a close estimate. I'll be back. ~Jim (2/13/2008)

Question: (cont'd from above) open, fair, and competitive. My feedback will stand up against anyone's, and quality usually doesn't come cheap. However, if I sense someone is needy, I've been known to lower my price to the bare minimum. Also, if I get irritated with another shipper, I've been known to do a job for next to nothing just to prevent that particular shipper from getting the job. Let me know when you think you'd like this picked up, and how flexible you are with the date, and I'll shoot you the best price I can. Sometimes, I can actually lower my charge, after the bid is accepted...I don't know anyone else who does that...but, of course, there are no guarantees that would happen. It all depends on what other connecting shipments I may or may not get. You will know my fuel allowance included in the bid; if I use less, the remainder will be credited towards the balance due. There is never an overcharge. Thanks again for your consideration, Todd. ~Jim (2/13/2008)

Question: Hi Todd - I'm sorry, it took me longer to get a number together than I thought it would; phone call interruption. OK, $1300 maximum, and I'll work on trying to figure out how to do it for less. At least this way, you have a not to exceed number to work with. That includes a fuel allowance of $340. It's a little "up there" because I don't have anything connecting to it on either end. Please let me know if you're still interested. BTW, there's no problem with me doing anything from the Seattle area on the 22nd or 23rd, even though that other job did fall through. Thanks again for your continued interest. ~Jim (2/13/2008)
