Questions for this shipment:

Question: hello capt.you have listed this vessel at 13'6" is this the transport height or the clearance from the water line? (10/8/2009)
Response: I went to the meridian yachts website and pulled up the 368. It says "Bridge clearance" is 13'6". I hope to have the purchased fianlized by the 21st. I am hopefully going down to cape haze next wednesday to due the survey. Just looking to get all my eggs in one basket before I fianlized the purchase. Thanks. (10/8/2009)
Question: Hello Sir the out of water height of this vessel is app.17'with the props removed the hard top and wind shield must be removed to reduce the height transport into N.Y.(expensive)I could transport to Weehawken N.J. where there is a boat yard with a travel lift and save you app.1200.00 in shipping fees my price for this two escorts state permits transport $7900.00 hope this helps in your decision Best Regards (10/8/2009)
Question: Will the boat be out of the water when you go to see it? If so can you get an accurate height measurement with whatever can be removed (arch, windshield, seat, etc.) off then I can give you a quote. Thanks. Allison-Lockview Marina. (10/8/2009)
Response: The bridge clearance on the boat is 13'6' . I don't know how I'm supposed to know what can and cannot be removed. (10/8/2009)
Response: From the picture you gave I would say the arch, the wheel, the seats, the hard top in the back are all removeable as well as the props and possibly rudders. The marina should be able to help you with the height measurement or you can contact Meredian directly to see what the height is when they load out at the factory. Thanks, Allison-Lockview Marina. (10/9/2009)
Question: I HAVE HAULED THIS BOAT BEFORE ON A GOOD TRAILER THIS BOAT IS 15.6 HEIGHT 12000 TO LI NY THANKS TOM USBOATTRANSPORTINC (10/9/2009)
Response: Do you need to take anything apart when on a trailer ? Insurance ? (10/9/2009)
Response: HARD TOP AND WINDSHEILD THANKS TOM USBOATTRANSPORTINC (10/9/2009)
Response: Sorry if I already asked this question, but you take off and put back on all that is needed for transport ? All permits etc are included in the price. Insurance ? The boat also need to be wrapped ? Please advise. Thanks. (10/11/2009)
Question: would you be open to transporting this boat by water? This would eliminate having to remove and replace a lot of stuff. If yes Iwill work you a bid (10/9/2009)
Response: Didn't think it was possible. How many hours ? Enginine hours ? Generator hours etc ? I maybe interested. (10/9/2009)
Response: someone beat me to the response, however his estimates are about right. By water would be your best bet. Whenever you disassemble and reassemble things there is always risk and wear. I will work you an rate that includes crew transport, however fuel will need to be arranged by you. (10/10/2009)
Response: The way I figure it it would be about 5,ooo plus about 1000.00 in fuel plus transport (im assuming to get everyone back to fla.?) It going to run about 8K/ Is this about right? (10/11/2009)
Response: That is about right, the $1,000.00 your speaking of will be to get everyone home. As far as fuel for the boat that is very much variable with wind, current, weather (having to beat the waves or having smooth water and being planed off) You would need to make arrangements to fuel the boat in Fla at the facility it is at now, then arrange to have it topped off somewhere around Charleston, Sc and again around Portsmouth Va. So in a nutshell you are talking about 7k plus you paying the cost of fuel which if your boat will get 2 mi per gal could be around 900 gal, or if it gets less will be more, if it gets better will be less (10/12/2009)
Response: I appreciate the offer but I'm going to decline. It will cost me about 10K to ship it back in the water. It will cost about 11K to ship land. I would rather not put the hours on the boat. Thanks again for your time. (10/12/2009)
Question: By water - around 1400 miles at around 20 mph. That's maybe 80 hours actual running time. Figure around 1400 gallons fuel. With decent weather 7-8 days travel. Our daily rate is $550 for a Captain and two crew. Crew transport is on you as is fuel - as that avoids unecessary overhead on a variable commodity. If that makes sense to you we can do a formal bid. (10/10/2009)
Response: Appreciate the idea, but not interested. Thanks again. (10/11/2009)
Question: We have hauled over 50 Meridian's from the factory in the last 20 months. We would quote to New Jersey. While price is important, there are other considerations before choosing a carrier. Insurance: We have $1.25 million in all risk cargo coverage. Safety: Check our Federal DOT safety rating by clicking on our DOT number. Our safety rating is much better than the national average. Experience: Our second-generation company has been in business for 55 years, hauling nothing but boats from coast to coast, in Canada, and to all ports in the US. We have hauled for nearly every major boat manufacturer in the US, both power and sail, we are a major carrier for the New York and Miami Boat Shows, and we are an authorized carrier for the US military. Equipment: We have 50 trucks/200 trailers. Drivers: Our drivers meet all Federal DOT qualification standards and have extensive boat hauling experience. All of these factors are very important when it comes to moving your boat. MoveMyBoat (10/12/2009)
Response: How much ? Most bids expire on the 14th but I won't be back from Florida until late on the 19th ??? (10/12/2009)
Response: Our price is more than others. $13,950.00 Please click on our DOT# on our profile for our safety rating. (10/12/2009)
Question: Hardtop and windshield will certainly need to be removed, props and rudders should come out as well. I believe Meridian will be able to provide you with a detailed list of what if any other item need to be removed for transport. Transport prep would be your responsibility. I can get you to your destination in Lindenhurst NY for $11,000. I would assume you are bring the boat to Surfside? Please see my profile for credentials, I have extensive experience with the NY/ Long Island area. Thank you, Brian, Horizon Marine Transport (10/18/2009)
Response: The boat is going to Islander Boat Yard. I have someone to prep and rap the boat. I'm not sure of the height but what you said had to b removed is what everyone is confirming. I just don't know what the final height would be ? Please advise. Shiping would take place sometime within the next 10 days 0or less. (10/18/2009)
Response: Putting schedule together for next trip, If you have any further questions feel free to ask. If you are satisfied please accept my bid so that we can get in contact and start to put this in motion. Thank you, Brian, Horizon Marine Transport (10/18/2009)
Question: Hi, can you clarify something for me, is she out of the water now? I live in the area where this boat is, I would like to look at here and take my own measurements! (10/19/2009)
Response: Its still in the water. Things have to be finalized and pick up would not be until the 30th. (10/19/2009)
Response: Can I go by and measure her, and see what needs to be removed? (10/19/2009)
Response: Final payment wont be made until later this week, so the boat is actually mine yet. Ill know more by thursday or friday. (10/19/2009)
Response: I understand! I will be leaving Wednesday, I won't be back until Tuesday! If you have not figured something out by then, maybe I will have time to go have a look! (10/19/2009)
