Response: The earlies is Tues. (4/19/2008)

Response: ok, maybe next weekend then (4/19/2008)

Response: I can't wait next weekend. Sorry.
I prefer to move it as soon as it will be released. (4/20/2008)

Question: How about as a driveaway, yes or no? or only trucked? (4/19/2008)

Response: Do you have plates to attach? (4/19/2008)

Response: No, unfortunately i do not have plates; but hmmmm....how could we do this? i may be able to go to Nevada DMV on pickup day and get a temp movement permit. i'll check. oh, by the way, i can offer a nice low bid of only $160, and i pay all fuel enroute. (4/20/2008)

Response: Sorry. I didn't see you are girles. I definitly would like to work with you. Alexandra.
(4/20/2008)

Response: Hey Alexandra. I'll be in contact with the auction to ask about procedures and possibilities/suggestions for temp tags and what-not. you say you believe it may be ready to realease the 23rd? this wednesday? please let me know on that if that should be the right date. And also, dont' worry - every time i pikcup at auction, i do a thorough (basic:fluids/tires,etc.) check before hitting the highway. (4/21/2008)

Response: What plate do you use when picking from auctions?
Do buyer give you own plate? (4/21/2008)

Response: hi again. here is the response i got from auction..."The answer is that the only one who can get a Drive A Way permit is the actual person who purchased the vehicle through our Auction. I'm not sure how it works with the DMV though as far as who can get one. You could probably call the NV DMV and ask them if they would give you one. This is NV law though so I'm sorry we can't give you one."
so....they could send it to you and i could pick it up before i go to vegas, but that would take too long, and i know you're anxious to get it tomorrow. have you any other options? if not, I may be able to think of a solution. So you think i could pick up tomorrow? and deliver early eve to you in compton area?
(4/22/2008)

Response: Hi Girls!
The car still on hold. I have time to phone to NV DMV tomorrow. (4/23/2008)

Response: hey A -- well, sister and i just BOTH happen to be in vegas at this moment! but each on drives. i kinda threw in the towel because i got a 2nd email from the auction lady (Terry?) and she said really the dealer is the only one who can get a permit -- or be trucked/towed. well...i MAY just drop by and meet her & discuss more in person friday a.m. here...or maybe you'll go with the next bidder. sorry it doesn't seem to be working out, but i'm sure maybe we'll be able to work together on another one in future for you. i see you do this often! (4/25/2008)

Response: But all my cars with out plates.((
They never were driven.
As I know from my experience in Canada, If I obtain teporary Plate from the auction -They ask MY insurance. Nobody can drive with that temp.Plate. I see in US the same. Could you ask Terry : Does Authorisation letter work in this situation. The second problem I still not paid for the car, because haven't get money from the buyer yet.
(4/25/2008)

Response: hey -- here's the 2nd email from Peggy (not Terry) at auction; perhaps this info will help another driver on the job. also, i will plan to stop by there today and meet her. so here's what she wrote:...
I really can't say it's ok to drive it off our lot without a tag. You could get a ticket if you do that. Really what would be ideal is to get a Dealer Plate from a Dealer and put that on the car. That is what most of them do here or they transport the vehicle so they don't need any tags. No, I've never heard of that site before. Then you can transport cars for Dealers? You need to have a trip sheet or something like that from the Dealer to be able to get the gate pass and the car. If you need anything else just let me know.
(4/25/2008)

Response: Thank you Girls!
You realy try hard get into situation.
The problem is the people from auction you speak with are know their job but not fully informed in law which governe used car dealer business. Each Dealer has one or more unattached plates. Dealer can put his plates on the cars which belonges to him. Pleates are INSURED. The Insurance policy states list of person who work for that Dealership as employee. Tell me how it is in US if owner give to somebody drive his car and police stop the car? There is $5000 fine for driving without Insurance in Canada. (4/25/2008)

Response: once again, hi. i met peggy at the auction today. here's something helpful for whomever ends up picking up for you. if they need a ride WAY WAY out (20 miles?) from either the vegas airport or any hotel area in vegas, manheim auction picks people up any time during the day at no charge and you just need ot call to request a pickup when you arrive. i am pretty booked now, and i hopep you'll get it done. oh about insurance, i am not sure really, other than that i provide my liability insurance, which follow the driver, and the vehicle falls under the OWNER's policy as far as collision/damage, etc. update me on the progess. (4/25/2008)

Response: It is realy helpfull INFO regarding pick up from airpost, I didn't know that. Thank you.
The car still not avalable . I afraide the auction can re-enter the car for sale.
I am waiting for money from my customer. The payment lost between our banks.(( The action even stoped my activity on-line. It is first time happen with me.((
(4/27/2008)

Response: oh Alexandra - that is terrible about the funds-mixup with your bank. really bad. i hope things get straightened out. i hate banks, i hate the post office. i hate so many things. i'm such a hateful person! (not really, but lately i lose my patience too quickly). anwyay, stay in touch and i suppose you may as well leave your post up here, no harm done, and you might draw future service provider people. just may need to change your date for ending of your ad so it doesn't expire. (4/27/2008)

Response: Thank you! (4/28/2008)

Response: oh, A...that is SO terrible about the funds-mixup with the bank. hopefully things will get straightened out with that quickly. anyway stay in touch on the progress, and you might as well leave your listing up here, since it does no harm - and in fact you may draw more service-provider folks for this one or future. only you'll need to change the expiration date for it to stay active. (4/27/2008)
