Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello I'm Tim, I live in Spokane,WA. I own Strictly Business Moving Inc. I have a 26' FL-70 Freightliner FULLY ENCLOSED. My truck is fully lined with E-Track anchoring system for the safest and most secure transport available. I have Ramps RATED for #7000Lbs, as well as a lift gate RATED for #2500Lbs. I use only Soft Touch Tie Downs anchored into E-Track,and all shipments are fully coverd with professional moving quilts. I provide 24 hr a day tracking to all clients VIA Verizon Cell. Please check out my 100% POSITIVE feed back from all previous clientele. I can ship this for $725.00 I could bring to the border in Blaine,WA which is north of Seattle,WA or i could bring up RT95 to the BC- WA border north of Spokane,WA where I live. NOBODY delivers into Canada it's to costly and time consuming. I look forward to hearing from you. If you are interested I can submit a formal bid ASAP. At Strictly Business ltd, we exceed your shipping expectations. Thank You For Your Time. TIM/SBM Inc. (10/2/2007)
Response: Hi Tim, I appreciate your quick response. I'n not sure if those locations would work as they are both 5 hrs or so away. What about Oroville WA, do you ever get up that way? Thanks, Mike (10/2/2007)
Response: I am sorry mike I didn't pay close enough attention I thought it was a Bike (Motorcycle)... I'm sorry Mike. Good Luck with your shipment!! (10/2/2007)
Question: Hello shipper. Something for you to think about.......If you are considering allowing vehicle to be driven....I could grab it from SLC around 25th-26th Oct, if you could meet me at greyhound terminal in Okanagan ( washington side, on rt 97 south )....it's the nearest bus stop on 97 ( none in Oroville ).......I could do this for $750 c.o.d cash. I would need to know soon in order to arrange affordable bus fare for me to SLC and then from Okanagan WA. Let me know if this might work for you. Lmaxwell ( uship provider ) (10/8/2007)
Response: Lmaxwell I have a couple of questions for you.... Where is home base for you? Perhaps we could pick it up there to save the cost of sending you to and from Okanogan WA. Once we decide on a price are there any other costs? ( meals, gas etc) It would work best if I could pick it up from you on the weekend. The bus fare from Okanogan to SLC is just $64...less than I thought it would be. Talk to you soon Mike (10/8/2007)
Response: Hello Mike....Thanks for updated info. I live in New Mexico. Therefore the bus fare would be a bit more for me in that regards. I have recalculated the mileage from SLC to Okanogan WA ( off rt 97 )....shorter than I figured. And with the Honda getting near 30 mpg.......My total fee could be more like $600 c.o.d. That cover fuel, busses etc. Meeting in Okanagon WA on sat/sun is OK. Greyhound pulls out of there about 7am either morning. So it would be a very early drive for you across the border. Or if need be, I could spend the night in Okanogan to catch next bus. A current or temp registration tag and some proof of insurance on board vehicle is necessary, of course. Even better when the seller writes out simple note allowing person to drive vehicle to destination. Hope this helps you decide on what choice to make. If you go with this idea , I will then place bid. Lmaxwell (10/8/2007)
Question: If by chance we can agree on this within next few days......I can purchase my advance bus tickets.......and be in SLC around 18th..... Okaganon WA by 20-21st OCT ( sat sun ). This coming weekend ( 13-14 ,I have another vehicle going to Los angeles. Good luck with it either way....Lmaxwell (10/8/2007)
Response: Hi Larry: I just need to make a couple of phone calls to see which weekend would work best on this end ( have company coming). The other possibility if this works for you is to go to Bellingham WA which is about the same driving time. I have to be near there on the weekend of the 26/27 and could easily meet you there. Let me know what you think Regards, Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: Hello folks......Yes, bellingham would work as well. There is a greyhound stop there also. My price would remain the same. No problem. I see you have another offer. let me know what you decide. Lmaxwell (10/9/2007)
Response: Hi Larry: Your offer of $600 sounds resonable and I would like to use your service providing we can adress the following. I need to satisfy myself that you have a clean driving record and are bonded in someway against theft of our vehicle. (these are tough things for me to ask as I truly try to trust everyone with whom I do business without them having to prove it) Secondly, our trip to Vancouver BC is planned for the weekend of the 27 Oct. I would need assurance that you can meet that time line. The bus leaves Bellingham around 5 pm so we could meet anytime Saturday. I am about 4 hours away from home by car . I look forward to doing business with you Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: Howdy. Yes the 27th in bellingham would be perfect. Allows me more time to pre- pay advance bus tickets. You seem like nice and sensible folks. I understand any skepticism. Especially if you have never used this type of online service . My DL# is on my profile page. I'm actually a long time truck driver. I could easily fax you copy of my MVD record (I'll go to motor vehicles within next few days). But remember....we cannot exchange contact info ( including faxes..etc )..until after you accept my bid. Also remember, you can request to cancel bid acceptance if you change your mind. As long as we are set to go on things before I purchase bus tickets ( would probably wait till next week ).....cause they would be non-refundable....and I would take the hit on that. In reference to the bonding issue...... (10/9/2007)
Question: Hi I can complete your transport for your book it now bid, with pickup between Oct 14th-19th and delivery to Canada between Oct 20-25th. However I do request half now (to confirm transport)and half at delivery. IF this works please let me know so I can accept the bid. Thanks (10/9/2007)
Response: Hi, I am very interested in your ability to deliver the car within that time frame and budget. I do have a few concerns that need to be addressed before we can do business. I notice on your feedback page that there have been several conflicts/cancellations in the past month...this concerns me. Is something going on right now that I should be aware of? 2) Is the vehicle insured while in your posession 3) am I responsible to get a broker for the border crossing or do you do that and if so is it included in your price? 4) I don't have a problem with 1/2 the costs up front but I would like some assurances that you can deliver on time. I am currently shipping a motorcyle with another company and they are already 3 weeks into the process and it's looking like they will be 2 weeks late.they have been paid the total amount up front... Thanks for you help Regards, Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: Mike I guess I should of asked first, but I assumed that you already had all the paperwork ready for the border crossing since you asked for such an early timeframe. I have shipped many items across the border, however, I was supplied all the needed paperwork ahead of time, it was either mailed to me or given to me at the pickup-all completed and down by the owner in Canada. Yes, your item is insured while in my possession, if you what extra insurance it can be purchased through uship. My cancellations have occurred in the past week, due to book it now, I accepted the bookit now price and then the customer requested a cancellation because another shipper got on uship and offered a cheaper rate, so they cancelled with me, which really isn't right so uship is reviewing these. These book it now bids should have been edited and removed but were not, uship will not let these cancelled shipments ruin my excellent ratings though. Thanks and let me know. (10/9/2007)
Response: Larry - please contact Ron Singer at Brison Motors, in Salt Lake City. We'll do everything we can to get the proper paperwork to you by the pick up date. There is a toll free number at their website. thanks...Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: Mike, this is Craig-it is against uship policy for me to contact anybody in reference to any shipment prior to bid acceptance, you would have to do all of that and then let me know if you agree to my terms and if you want be to submit a bid or accept a book it now. Let me know, sorry. Thanks (10/9/2007)
Response: Tx Craig - sorry about that. We will be in contact with our Seller, but can you advise us re what paperwork you need for the border crossing? We are wanting to go ahead with the terms and do the booking, but want to ensure that we have things in order as far as paperwork goes. Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: You will have to have your sales paperwork in the vehicle, I am going to have to prove your the owner of the car if asked. I have brought several cars over and as long as I can prove ownership that the car is yours we will be good to go. The dealership paperwork will do. Thanks Craig (10/9/2007)
Question: I can offer 757.00 to drive your vehicle to Wa state.. Pick up between 15-20 Oct 07. If all paper work is in order, I can delivery across the border to Canada. GST ect...ect.. (10/9/2007)
Response: Hi So you would drive the vehicle rather than ship it, is that correct?. How do you deal with the GST and taxes at the Canadian border? Would I need a broker? Does the $757 include delivery to my home?( I am about 2hrs, 15 min north of the border at Oroville. Please advise Mike (10/9/2007)
Response: Is this vehicle bought from someone here in the states? Dealer/private owner? (10/9/2007)
Response: It is from Brison Motors in SLC (10/9/2007)
Response: Sorry are you going to LMaxwell for your shipment then? (10/9/2007)
Response: yes he is able to ooordinate with a trip I am making and bring the vehicle to me. I appreicate your help and excellent pricing. I will buy again and hopefully you will be bidding thanks, mike (10/9/2007)
Response: No probelm. Good luck and thank you for your time. (10/9/2007)
Question: The last three vehicle that I drove where to Canada, so I know the border drill, sort of speak. As long as the vehicle has valid tags/insurance prior to the shipment date . (10/9/2007)
Question: ......I'm not sure if I remember who I see about that......any suggestions. I have no criminal history. Can my auto insurance agent help me with that? It's been years since I even had an employer have me bonded. Share your wisdom.......I'll accomadate the best I can. I'll go ahead and place my bid........You'll see how it talleys up ( via the rules ).......$600 is ALL you would be handing me. Talk later. Feel free to decline bid for whatever reason you might have. Talk later. Lmaxwell (10/9/2007)
Response: why is the bid $676 ( I'm new to this and not sure about the bidding process) (10/9/2007)
Response: Hey Mike........this is what us providers keep trying to get the uship team to understand. That first time shippers are somehow not being directed clearly thru the bidding process. Don't feel alone! And recently they restrict us from trying to explain their procedures. Well.....somebody needs to right ? It's actually a very usefull site in regards to shipping anything. You should be able to contact them somewhere on shippers page. Perhaps more folks should to get this dilemma resolved. Nothing shady here coming from my position. $600 remains my fee.....anything else is required by the web site provider. Like everything Mike.....there's always a fee someplace. They have to afford to stay in business. Just last week I mailed them in regards to this misunderstanding. I'm waiting for there response. Let me know what you figure out. good luck. (10/9/2007)
