Question: Please advise if this service is still needed and will you need crating as well for the bike. Also will you need local clearance assistance or delivery in St. Maarten? Please also specify the model of Harley so I can pull specs for it.(moveitintl) (5/25/2009)

Response: A quotation of service is still needed.
What will it cost me with/without crating.
I will need clearance assistance if available on St Maarten but I can pick the bike up at the shipping agency. The model is a Harley Davidson customized bike(softtail)Height 41 inch, width 28 inch,Length 100 inch.
I hope this information wiil be sufficient for a specified quotation.
Thank you and best regards Patrick. (5/27/2009)

Response: I forgot to add these additional questions before I can quote. a) What will be the insured value of the bike?
b) Will you be able to have all fluid drained from the bike for shipping.
c) Is it just the bike and no additional pcs?
d) How soon do you need it in St. Maarten?
e) Do you have a preference between air and ocean? (air being more expensive, but faster.)
f) Will you be able to provide all documentation for the bike, i.e Title, Bill of sale etc for customs?
g) What is the estimated or exact weight of the bike?
All respond with quote 48 hours after I receive the about information. (5/28/2009)

Response: I don't know the insured value the bike costs $22000.But it's estimated value I don't know.
The told me that's it's allowed to leave 1/4 of gas
in the tank(by law).Other fluids are no problem according to other companies on their websites. It's just the bike.I need to ship it the first week of July. Can you give me both quotations(air&ocean)please.According to the seller all documents are there.Estimated weight 530pounds.
Hope this information is satisfying.
Best regards Patrick. (5/28/2009)

Response: Hi Patrick I've made a bid with the basic cost, there is additional like the crating local pickup and delivery etc which you can decide if you want as part of the service. uShip does not really have a good option to list all the what if's (6/2/2009)

Response: I like to have a complete quotation including crating and door to door delivery.
Also it's very important that you can estimate the total transport time from A to B.The shipping has to take place in the first week of July.
I am still negotiating with the seller but for me it is very important thatthe shipping is possible, payable and that the shipper is taking good care of the bike.
Best regards Patrick. (6/2/2009)

Response: You would be looking at an additional $1700.00 to your door in St. Maarten with everything included. Transport will be 5 days in the US 2 days to crate, 3 days custom hold in Florida, 7 days by sea. This would mean we would have to receive the bike no later than the third week in July to make sure it arrives second week in July. (6/2/2009)

Response: I am discussing the crating of the bike with the seller to let him do this because the bike is a custom bike so the sizes are not regular.
Would you please be so kind to quote without crating.
One more question can you please make a quotation for tranport by air and what the demands/regulations are by customs or country(U.S/Sint Maarten).
And ofcourse how much faster it is then shipping by oceantransport.
Thank you very much for your time so far.
Best regards Patrick. (6/4/2009)

Response: Crating is estimated at $700-850 depending on the true dimensions when the bike finally arrives to be crated. Shipping by air because of the dimensions is very expensive $3000+ was the best quote I got. Time in transit also is not that much better than ocean 2-4 days quicker. Documents US Power of Attorney, letter of intent, bill of laden all of which I can provide for you. I will verify on the St. Maarten end but it should not be more than what I mentioned already. Please also confirm where in St. Maarten the bike is going to dutch or French and address or area? (6/4/2009)

Question: Your pickup and delivery window is not realistic, do you have to leave St, Maarten on a particular date? Will the bike not be ready for pickup until a specific date? Also what changes were made to the shipment? (6/6/2009)

Response: If you give me your telephone number or website with contact information I will give you a call one of these days because I am in the Netherlands at this moment and corresponding with the seller about the payment. It is also possible to let him contact you after we settle the payment.
Thank you very much and waiting for your response.
Patrick. (6/8/2009)

Response: I can't send my information to you unless you accept a bid then we both will have each others info. When and once the sale goes through you can contact me, simple click on my name and save me as a favorite service provider and you can reach me if you need me to rebid. (6/9/2009)

Response: Ok thank you,I'm not familiar with this system.
As soon as I arranged everything I will click on your name and accept a bid so we will have each others info.
Best regards Patrick. (6/9/2009)

Response: My bid had expired and was not renewed so you could not accept it. I needed to know if you still expected the same delivery and pickup time lines before I rebid? As I was saying before because of the time now I would not be able to guarantee those delivery dates. (6/19/2009)

Response: The final payment is on his way to the seller. The bike has to be picked up before the 10th of July because of holidayplans of the seller. The easiest way is that when the bid is ok the three of us keep it contact with eachother.I will be on Sint Maarten somewhere the 14th f July to pick up the bike personally and fulfill the shipping payments.
Regards Patrick (6/19/2009)

Response: As I was saying before your timeline is not realistic, I can have the bike pickup up by the 10th of July that is not a problem but to have it in St, Maarten by the 14th for you to meet it is the problem. My quote was based on shipping it out of Miami, if I pickup this coming week it won't be in Miami until end of the month. It will take the guys at least 3 days to pack and get it ready for shipping. Then there is a 3 day hold for customs to verify the title and paperwork. It takes the boat just over a week to get to St, Maarten. I then have to factor time in St. Maarten for them to un-stuff the container which I have no control over. With the very tight time line it basically means all cost double I will now have to get priority transport, processing etc. I can put the bid back in for $1100 if you understand this most lily will not be what the number settles at. Please advise. (6/20/2009)

Response: The pick up date is perfect.I think you misunderstood me.I just ment to say that I arrive on Sint Maarten the 14th of July so any date from there I'll be able to pick the bike up.The seller will crate the bike together with a carpenter. As soon as you place your bid I'll accept it and then I can give your telephonenumber to the seller,he will contact you about all the details.
It will not be a priority transport because then I can just as well ship it in by plane.
Best regards Patrick. (6/22/2009)
