Questions for this shipment:

Question: $250? You are still talking about 2 days of driving to get there and having to find a way to get back. It would be hard to even make a few bucks at that rate, if not take a lose if stuck in the Keys with no way to get back to TX. Wait, that may not be a bad thing, lol. I will see what i can put together for you and place a bid with what I come up with. Just thought I would shine a little light on the rate. Thanks - Justin Tyme (11/8/2009)
Response: The truck can go right back home to TX after dropping the boat off at the dealer. (11/8/2009)
Response: Are you covering fuel for the round trip? Are you ok if I haul a trailer back to TX with your truck and put something in the bed both directions as well? Nothing that will scratch it up or will take precautions to protect it with moving blankets. When do you need this done adn when do you need the tuck returned by? (11/8/2009)
Response: I guess it would depend on what you're hauling. I'm sure it weighs less than the boat. The 2500HD has a Bully Dog computer that gets over 20mpg at 70mph when the truck is empty. It gets around 9mpg pulling the boat at 70mph. If you cover the difference in fuel for the weight of the trailer I think we're good. Say, I also have a 1998 Chevrolet Pickup in Ft Lauderdale that needs to come home. Any chance you've got a friend that could drive it back with you? I'd like to get this done pretty soon. The boat should be out of the water and ready for transport this week. What is your schedule like? Dave (11/8/2009)
Response: I too just realized the CDL reuirement as well. We haul 30' gooseneck trailers all the time btu all of our GVWRs are under 26k lbs so no CDLs here. The weight of your boat isnt a concern at all, 14k lbs is actually a light load, in my opinion. My 4 car hauler fully loaded can get pretty heavy and I pull it with my stock 2500 Dodge Cummins and get 12-14 mpg. We where thinking about hauling your boat to FL, then picking up a 2 car trailer in FL, loading up your Chevy, and returning to TX with your two trucks, another customer's trailer, and another car or a few bikes/ATVs as well. We can split the return fuel 50/50 as long as you cover the fuel to FL from TX 100%. Let me know if this sounds liek a deal to you and I will put it all together. Can you provide more details about the truck that needs to come back to TX from FL. Specifially the width. I want to make sure its not a dually and amke sure it will fit on this trailer coming from FL. Thanks - Justin Tyme (11/9/2009)
Response: Justin, If no CDL is required then we should be ok. Sounds like you are used to hauling heavy loads. The boat trailer is brand new so you shouldn't have any problems. The Chevy in Florida is a '98 1500 Extended Cab 2WD 6' bed. I can cover 50% of the return fuel and 100% of the fuel going down. Let me know what your bid is. Dave (11/9/2009)
Response: How much for hauling the other truck though? I can easily get another $1 pe mile with that trailer space by hauling 3-4 motorcycles, atvs, or something else. I can get $0.50 per mile for a car and $0.75-1.00 per mile for another truck. How much are you willing to pay to put it on the trailer.. Remember you no longer have it being driven back to TX so no fuel cost or wear and tear on the older truck. I am still working out the detail with the other trailer adn then will book other loads to go on it as well but I believe I can head out with your truck adn boat in the next coupl of days. Get back with me with your thoughts. Thanks - Justin Tyme (11/9/2009)
Response: Justin, I just confirmed my travel plans to FL. It looks like we will need to use the older truck when we're in Florida in about 10 days. So, let's hold off on bringing the older truck back to TX. I've also updated the listing slightly changing the pickup and drop-off locations (Spring instead of Galveston and Ft. Lauderdale instead of Key Largo). (11/9/2009)
Response: So, are we waiting on taking the boat to Fl as well or that needs to be done soon and we just arent worrying about bring back the '98 chevy for now? As for the changes, the only problem I have is I was hoping to go to Key Largo, lol. Went to Key West to get a car earlier this year and made a little vacation out of it. Stayed in Key Largo and rented a house boat to stay in and rented a boat to take out fishing and snorkling with. Had a blast! There are some great perks to doing this job, lol. (11/9/2009)
Question: Ive got 2 drivers that could be there in 2 days and do everything for you at a great price, droping the boat and bringing both trucks back from florida. (11/8/2009)
Response: Sounds good to me. Please quote and let me know about scheduling. (11/8/2009)
Response: Sorry I just seen the part about Class A CDL we could drive just fine and have references, but no CDL. Let me know if we could work something out. (11/8/2009)
Response: It's really too much weight to take a chance on someone without the license. (11/8/2009)
Response: Let me know if anything changes for you and we can help you. Thank you. (11/8/2009)
