Question: beware of negative feedback (3/27/2006)
Question: Vespa will be shipped in back of late model pick-up truck. Secured at all 4 corners by ratchet straps, and if you'd like, I will cover with a water proof tarp, although the weather is suppose to be beautiful this weekend. I have been hauling motorcycles for 20 years, and have never had a problem...I take great care, and drive very near the speedlimit, I'm certaily in no hurry, it will be a leisurely drive. I'm positive you'll insure the vespa, so I suggest you simply start the coverage now. My insurance will cover if the vespa should come detached from my vehicle and strike another vehicle (not going to happen), but your insurance will cover damage to your vehicle, should an accident occur. In my opinion, the money you save with shipping with me, will pay for your insurance for quite a few months, so why not start it today, and then you know it's covered. In my opinion, this site was started to help us save money. Don't be scared into shipping by profit motivation. Thanks HMR44 (3/28/2006)
Question: I need to know if you'd like me to bring your vespa back. I'll be leaving tomorrow, and will need to know by the time I leave, probably early in the morning. I'll be in Chicago Thursday, specifically Chrystal Lake and all point south of there if you'd like to meet in person and see the truck I'll be using. It's a 2004 Dodge Dakota Extended cab truck. Like I said, and please look at my feedback, it should give you a little peace of mind, I have hauled literally dozens and dozens of motorcycles in the last 20+ years, and I drive all over the midwest and eastern seaboard without ever having an accident. Your vespa will be safe and secure and delivered on time. I promise you will be absolutely happy with me, and you will be able to communicate with me at any point along the way via my Verizon cell phone... I will have the vespa secured and locked with two heavy duty plastic coated cables, with unbreakable Master Locks... I do need to know something preferably today....Thanks.Hammer (3/29/2006)
Response: Thanks for your reply/reminder. I am working on getting a place to store the Vespa here in Chicago when not in use, and should have an answer shortly. If I can get something lined up today, which I hope will be the case, I'll email you and let you know. Your most recent email states that you'll be leaving tomorrow, and be in Chicago on Thursday -- are you planning on delivering my Vespa on this trip or, as you wrote in an earlier email, sometime between 02-03 April 06, with a pickup date of 01-02 April 06?
