Questions for this shipment:
Question:
can p/u in 4 days and del 2 days after p/u for 1350.00 plus uship fees, thanks, jason cochran w/ outlawexpress (4/9/2007)
Response:
Thank you for the offer but the DAS "ship it now" price that pops up automatically for door to door is only $1,103.00. Thanks, but I'll decline your offer. (4/10/2007)
Question:
still need moved 1000.00 plus uship fees.. enclosed trailer/insured (4/10/2007)
Response:
Steve...I like your feedback and price. Give me details of your insurance and transporter's numbers. We may be able to go somewhere with this. If I don't get an acceptable offer by Tuesday or Wednesday I'll just have to send a driver and one of my rollbacks to do it. It is less costly for me to hire a reliable transporter but this vehicle is sold and must be delivered before the end of next week. Looking forward to hearing from you. (4/10/2007)
Question:
sorry i am loaded and heading to dallas (4/11/2007)
Response:
Thanks anyway.... (4/11/2007)
Question:
can pick up today 1000.00 i need to know right away i'm in atlanta dropping off one (4/11/2007)
Response:
Thanks, but I just called down to Georgia and they can't have it ready today. They need a little more notice. (4/11/2007)
Question:
I see that you declined because of lack of feedback. I can provide references if needed-I have been in trucking for 26 years-owner/operator since 1996. I am new just new to the uship. Please let me know. Thks Farris Watson-W & W Trucking (4/13/2007)
Response:
Farris, I'm sorry but I'm about fed up with this site. Someone mentioned it and I thought I'd give it a try since we move 5 to 20 cars a month. Some go to buyers and some we shuffle from one of our dealerships to the other. What I've found on this site is that it seems 3/4 of the transporters are illegal and have no insurance. I've been lied to and some have tried to bullshit me with ridiculous stories. I'm not suggesting that you are because I did check out your numbers, but it isn't worth the hassle of time to try to verify 4 or 5 carriers to get one car moved. For this one I'm just going to send a truck to get it over to Texas. I think I'm finished with this site will continue to use legitimate services that aren't filled with liars and cheats. I hope you'll understand it is just too time consuming to check out references of everyone considering the number of cars we move. I hope this answers your question. My declining your bid wasn't intended to offend you. (4/14/2007)
Question:
Thats fine I understand-if your ever around ADESA Knoxville stop in AFC and say hello to my wife!! Have a wonderful day! (4/14/2007)
Question:
it just tickles me... people want uship prices and industry service...there are some of us who try to provide both...if you can't take the time to satisfy your own needs than why do you feel the need to beat on use verbaly...numbers and government involvement don't inprove service, they just provide the powers that be another avenue for revinue,Ive been that route and will do so again but it wont improve our service just raise our prices...please excuse spelling I lost that ability on my last dance with the dot...thanks AnsonFarmTransport (4/14/2007)
Response:
AnsonFarmTransport, you apparently fit in the 3/4 of the so called providers I was speaking about. My conclusion is derived from your profile where you offer no insurance and list no DOT numbers. As to your comment about it not improving service, I agree having the required insurance and DOT authorization may not affect the service, but it does affect whether you're legal or a criminal. As to your comment about prices, I'm not necessarily looking for a "uship" price, I'm trying to find a source of auto transport that is legal, reliable, insured, and "reasonably" priced. Thank you for canceling your bid rather than providing you DOT numbers when I requested them. (4/17/2007)
Question:
I agree with him!!! Most carriers on this site are illegal. I hear stories that they don't have to comply by USDOT regulations because they are under 10000 or 20000 pounds. IF YOU MOVE ANYTHING FOR HIRE (get paid for it) YOU WILL HAVE TO COMPLY WITH ALL USDOT REGULATIONS. USDOT number, MC number, IFTA, INSURANCE etc. If you haul cars with a dually and car hauler and you weigh more than 26000 pounds (and you will if you have 3 cars on your trailer) you will need Commercial drivers license. I hope every one that is not legal will get busted with hefty fines. It may cost you a little money to run legal but it will cost you more to get busted if you are not legal. So, go get your numbers, insurance and CDL's. (4/14/2007)
Question:
First, I have only been looking into providing a service parttime with my small Ford Turbo Diesel and 2 car trailer ( no DOT # or insurance yet )and a friend mentioned Uship so checking it out. I've carried my own items and drove for the Army and am 52 yrs old. I wasn't going to say anything, however this shipper seems to be one of the few that understands the costs of doing legal transports and is willing to pay a reasonable fee. Most of the shippers here seem to want you to do it for just your gas money and not pay for your making your service legal, insuring your load or your time. Once again, kudos to this shipper for being reasonable. If more folks on this site were like him, I would have started pulling loads by now. (4/19/2007)
