Questions for this shipment:

Question: Would pick-up on the 20th in NH, with delivery no later than the 23rd in Penna work for you? I am a fully licensed & insured route shipping service with considerable motorcycle transport experience. My formal bid will be for $300.00 (including insurance) plus U-Ship match fees. Total bid under $325.00. If you are interested, please let me know. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/10/2007)
Response: Just to verify...there was a mistake on my ad, and this is a 2004 KTM 950 Adventure. Do you ship on a pallet? Will fluids need to be drained? Thanks. (4/10/2007)
Question: Hi, and thanx for your quick response. Yes, I actually custom built a pallet with ring bolts for specialized shipments. Ordinarily, however, I use a pingle wheel chock and a canyon dancer secured to cleats mounted to the deck of my truck and use nylon straps to secure the rear frame to the deck. Additionally, I chock the rear wheel to remove any possibility of the bike shifting during transit. If you would like me to bid, please advise. Additionally, I am fully licensed & carry full coverage cargo liability. If I bid and you accept, I will provide copies of my authority & insurance certificate upon your request. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/10/2007)
Question: Quick question for you: Do you want this MC crated? Or I can dedicate it to a trailer on a skid. Please advise how you would like to have it shipped, so that I can bid accordingly. Either would of course be additional to the bid. I'm not angling for more money--I just want to be sure of what is indicated and price it accordingly. Thanks, Greyhound. (4/10/2007)
Response: The bike would not necessarily need to be crated, but I would like it to be in an enclosed trailer. A pallet or wheel chocks would be OK. It has a lot of body work which I would want to be protected. Is there a phone number where I could reach you if I have more questions? Thanks. (4/10/2007)
Question: Hi, and thanks for your response. According to the U-ship policy, we are not allowed to provide direct contact information until the bid has been submitted and accepted. I'll go ahead and submit my bid, then if you accept, we can work it from there. I origionally said $300.00, I believe, plus U-ship fees. I'll set the revised bid at $375.00. That will cover either crating or the increase in tolls for the extra axle on the trailer. Will that work for you? Thanks for your patience while we work this out. Greyhound. (4/10/2007)
Response: Hi. Thanks for your bid. I'm interested in shipping the bike to PA only if I could do it for around $300. Otherwise, I'll pay a little more and have it shipped directly to me in Los Angeles (I'd prefer to ride it from PA). Thanks again. (4/10/2007)
Question: So (1)If I bring the bid down to $300.00, with you paying the U-Ship match fees, can we close the deal today? (2) What is the payment plan? I accept cash, cashier's check or Postal Money Order, with payment times at pick-up or at delivery. Please advise if this works. Thank you. Greyhound. (4/11/2007)
Response: Thanks Greyhound. Several quick questions: 1) Could the bike still be delivered in PA on April 23rd? 2) How much are the U-Ship fees I would be responsible for? 3) Please verify that this is a 2004 KTM 950 Adventure, not a KTM SX85, and that it is a very tall motorcycle (not sure if that would be a problem)? 4) Do you ship nationally, as well? 5) Is it enclosed shipping? I could pay you in cash upon delivery. Thanks again! (4/11/2007)
Question: Hi, Ray, and thanks for your questions. (1) The delivery date to Penna will be the same--no later that the 23rd (possibly earlier, but definitely no later); (2) Including the U-Ship fees, the total bid will be something on the order of $325.00, give or take a couple of dollars. (The match fee is paid directly to U-Ship [as a deposit]--the balance of $300.00 is paid to me on delivery). (3) I confirm that the MC is a 2004 KTM 950 Adventure w/ overall height of 37.4"; wheel base of 61.8" and a dry weight of 435.6 pounds. (5) No, I do not ship nationally--as far west as Michigan/Indiana and as far south as Kentucky/Virginia; (6) Yes, it is absolutely enclosed shipping, wether I put it on the trailer or aplletize & crate it, the MC will travel enclosed. Hope I have answered your questions. Please advise if you want me to resubmit the bid @ $300.00, plus fees. I'm leaving for Mass tomorrow and can swing into NH on the way back home to pick this up then. Thanks, Greyhound. (4/11/2007)
Response: Hi Greyhound. Thanks for answering all my questions! Yes, please submit the bid and plan on picking up the bike. Thanks again. Ray (4/11/2007)
Question: Hi, Ray--one quick question before I re-bid on this: Will the person in N.H. be available for a Friday evening or Saturday morning pick-up? I just booked a shipment going into Mass. and will simply pull the trailer with me. Just for your peace of mind, the trailer will be secured during the time it is on my property and insurance applies throughout. If this weekend doesn't work for you or the person in N.H. we can always stay with the origional schedule. Thanks, Greyhound. (4/11/2007)
Response: Hi Greyhound. That should be no problem. Let me know when you want to pick up, and I'll notify the seller in NH. Thanks. (4/11/2007)
