Response: I am flexible on delivery but am moving down there myself on the 23rd. I could deliver the bike somewhere around the area (Lafayette) when I am there depending on weather. I will also be back for 3 days from the 28-30th if that works. The other option is allowing you to pick the bike up, my roommates could give you access and it runs great. Thanks (1/12/2009)

Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure bike to a suitable skid / long pallet or OEM like crate base so as to be acceptable for transport by common carrier service? ... THX (1/12/2009)

Response: I do not have access to a skid/long pallet or crate base and only have general tie downs that have been used in a pick-up truck. thanks (1/12/2009)

Response: understand and here's a suggestion given what you said ... many bike shops or dealers have used / salvaged OEM crate bases which may be acquired or will provide local pickup & shipment preparation services … they will “palletize” or crate base the bike properly for common carrier shipment albeit for a fee but they are well versed in this need ... this would also offset common carrier accessorial charges as bike would then be coming from a business type location with a dock or forklift instead of a residential one ... just an idea ... let me know if this might be a doable option & can then bid to suit ... Response: yes, the bike is in West Lafayette on Vine St in my college home garage. I am leaving Michigan and heading to there on the 19th and am leaving Indiana on the 23rd to drive to Florida. I will most likely not drive straight through so will be arriving on the 24th or 25th if everything goes as planned. With the uncertainty in travel time I would not want the bike arriving before the 25th. (1/13/2009)
