Additional Information: Hi,

I need to transport a 21 ft boat & trailer from Lindenhurst, New York, to Panama City, Florida. I bought the boat through eBay and found your link while browsing that site.

I do not know if this may actually be applicable to you, or you only specialize in cars. If applicable, please let me know how to enter on your quotation system, or better yet, send me the very best quotation(s) that may apply and I will reply immediately my decision.

Best Regards,

Jose M Ponce

Questions for this shipment:

Question: IS THE TRAILER ROAD WORTHY ? (7/2/2009)
Response: As far as I am informed Yes, and the dealer that sold me the boat is a quite serious and large company, so it must be in good operational conditions. Regards, Jose M Ponce (7/2/2009)
Question: Hello Jose. Please review our profile and feedback to take comfort in knowing that we are a Legal Transporter that has experience in boat transport. We can deliver your boat to you $1100 door to door. In addition, we do NOT require any deposit - just pay COD upon delivery. Please advise. Thanks for your consideration. (7/2/2009)
Response: Hi there, So far you have the best balance price & reputation. Lower offer received but do not fill my expectations. Please just give me 48 hours to confirm with you: Meanwhile if you can slightly reduce your offer, then it will become without doubt my best choice. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/2/2009)
Question: Shipper, I am not a broker and will personally be with your boat and trailer the entire time. I am an experienced international transporter. I could do this for $1228.00 all inclusive, no hidden surprises. Payment would be cash or certified check upon delivery. (7/3/2009)
Response: Hi, This boat was booked the first day it went on uShip, and all of the sudden the shipper backed out with no reason. It was not even price as I received the same day lower bids. All this have already cost me some money and I am now running on a tight budget, so I really cannot spend more than $1,000.00. Please review yuor costs, and do an extraeffort, and I promise I will do mine. In addition, there is a pick up service needed at Waynesville, Ohio, for the same destination, which, if it is not too far from your driving route, it may help optimize your costs, therefore allowing you to reduce your bid. The pick up is 3 Honda engines. I hope this helps. Regards, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: First, going out to Ohio would only add to the cost as it is significantly out of my way. Second, is this boat going to a port facility where a government issued security clearance identification card is required? Third, the price is the price $1228. Cash on delivery. Besides the toll and fuel expenses, there is significant time required traveling in an around New York City. On a bad day it takes all day to get thru/around NYC. Time is valuable also. Best of luck finding a cheaper transporter. If your needs change please contact me. (7/8/2009)
Response: OK, first a compensation was to be granted for the pickup in Ohio, provided that it is not a cost too large to take such detour; second, I have already arraanged with the sea shipping line that they absorb the costs of the harbour; third, it is too high for me, if it only includes towing the boat to Panama City. Review the above comments and if you find it suitable, send me another message. Regards, (7/8/2009)
Question: jose how are you doing. I can do it for 1250 and have it to the port on friday evening or monday morning. Let me know if this will work for you. (7/8/2009)
Response: Hi Larry, The last minute cancellation by a supposedly "PERFECT RATE" shipper has cost me already some considerable money. I believe we have exchange communication in the past, so I would really like to go ahead and book with you, but I acnnot send more than US$1,000 (maybe a little bit more but US$250.00 is too much for fe at this time). Please think about it, and do your best to lower your price as much as possible, and I promiss you I will also do my best on my side. I was checking the route and noticed that you would most likely pass near Ohio, and I need three engines to be picked up there in Waynesville. If you think you can optimize your freight by doing both things, then you can count on that, and therefore send me your very lowest bid on this one. Hope to do business with you. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: does the boat have a trailer? If so, my route does not send me close to waynesville ohio. If you wanted me to get those engines then we would have to work out compensation on those. Waynesville ohio is about 7-9 hours west of nyc. Let me know your thoughts and I can get a # over to you. I would like to get this done in the next few days. (7/8/2009)
Response: Hi Larry, The boat indeed has a trailer which has been reviewed by seller to fix all details for the road. There would certainly be a compensation for the engines in Ohio, but I certainly did not realize that it would be such a large detour, since the route marked at uShip does not pass that far away from Ohio. The main idea was indeed that with the compensation we could manage to get a win-win situation. Let me know if this could work for you. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: Do those motors have to be down there on this trip? If not I am headed to Ohio on my trip back north (7/8/2009)
Response: The main idea was that for a slight increase in costs, you get a higher compensation, going therefore into a win-win situation. Indeed, the engines must be at Panama City to go on the same container. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: How much more do you have in the budget to get them down there? (7/8/2009)
Response: I had budgeted US$1,000 for the boat, and a compensation of US$400 for the engines, or any other combination with the same result you may consider suitable. I cannot be more straight and open with you than this. Right now to be honest i am only considering two bids, yours and another one, who have plenty record with uShip, because I do want to prevent the problem I had with the previous shipper. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: When do you need it in Florida? I am very interested. (7/8/2009)
Response: As soon as possible; I am already paying demurrages at Panama City. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: I will place a bid for the boat and I will do the motors for you as well. I wnt the job Jose. (7/8/2009)
Response: [content removed – attempt to circumvent the site] Nevertheless if you match that cost I will give you preference, but believe is a low cost shipping. Place your very lowest bid, and I will give you the preference. ok? Cheers, (7/8/2009)
Question: I can pick up monday for 1200. Click on my name to review my 100% positive feedback it says it all!!! Interested? (7/8/2009)
Response: Hi, I will certainly be interested, but the last minute cancellation with absolutely no reason by the shipper I first hired has cost me already some money and time, so I am now on a budget of US$1,000, which I could stretch given your good reputation (the previous one had a 100% score though). Another idea to try to get into a win-win situation would be that you optimize your ship by collecting 3 Honda engines at Waynesville, Ohio, that is, if it does not take you to much out of your way (according to the route marke by uShip it is not that far off your way). There would be of course a compensation, which could make us both get the best of it. Again, it is just an idea that came to my mind. In any case, please review your costs and try to place the lowest possible bid, and I promise I will stretch my budget to the limit. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
Response: $1500 boat and 3 mortors in Ohio. Cheapest I can do. If Interested let me know and I will place a bid. Thanks for the responce!!! (7/8/2009)
Response: OK, I fully recognize that you have an excellent reputation, and that is why I want to close the transaction with you. No doubts about it. PLEASE, consider a price of US$1,400 so that I can go ahead and close the deal with you, and we both do not spend more time on uShip. Cheers, Jose M Ponce (7/8/2009)
