Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Just to understand what you are asking for. You want insurance and ship the vehicle 1100 miles. The going rate is $1.00 per mile. If you was not asking for insurance you could get it cheaper and maybe delivered in good condition. Just a thought, Snyder Motor Transport. (7/9/2007)
Response:
Well uship.com does not allow me to elaborate on my reasons for not accepting the bid other than to say that your bid was basically too high. Technically speaking, your bid is very fair, especially for an enclosed trailer. The cheapest quote I have thus far is for $540, but who knows how many times its loaded/unloaded and who knows what kind of other hidden charges are there to only be found later. What kind of price difference is there if insurance is not included? (7/9/2007)
Response:
Most of the time but not always if you do not ask for insurance then the transported may not have a DOT number. If they do not have the DOT number than maybe they can get insurance at an added cost to you. If they have a DOT number they have insurance. Look at the profile of your shipper and feed back. If DOT stops a transport and finds out they are for hire and they do not have a DOT number and all that applies. They can impound the cargo (your vehicle). Just some more thought, Thanks, Snyder Motor Transport (7/9/2007)
Response:
Can you do $675? (7/19/2007)
